The Good and the Bad
Firstly the good news (Zizzi Wigmore Street,London)...
Meal booked for pre Concert, so at 17.30 and we were welcomed by pleasant staff who were efficient and helpful throughout...Value was terrific for quality food, Prosecco and we benefitted from our Zizzi Zillionaire's Club offer...Table and seating was comfortable
Now the Bad news...
The upper floor restaurant was commandeered by a birthday party of c20 schoolchildren which was by default Noisy and ruined any potential peace and atmosphere - This could have been avoided by either having the party group in the downstairs area OR had we been warned previously by the restaurant that a large party was planned, therefore allowing us to change our booking (other restaurants have successfully previously used this ploy to our delight)
Secondly, the atmosphere was further ruined by the awful quality of the music speakers (hollow and no Bass) which is such a pity when the owners have spent a fair amount of money in furnishing the restaurant
Shall we return?....Doubtful since there are many other fine choices in the same area

100% would recommend and is definitely coming back bere again
Great expectations…
I was very disappointed with my experience today having dinner at Zizzi restaurant. I really like Italian cuisine so I chose that restaurant today with big hope to enjoy my food. But unfortunately our expectations failed. Starters( one of which didn’t arrive) I received this after main course, Pasta was overcooked, which is unacceptable in Italian recipes, very greasy and no taste absolutely … I wish very best to Zizzi and hope they will improve quality of service and food.
We had a meal there Sunday.

This is the most disgusting pizza I have ever ordered. This is not dough but a piece of incomprehensible sour pancake for 18 pounds. If you want to be disappointed, you can order. It looks poor with 5 thin sausages. Don't be fooled, dear customers, by their second pizza as a gift, this is a complete deception of taste and money. They are definitely not Italians.Wery sadly
Earl’s Court 16910379947
Booked a table for a special occasion. Arrived early and advised we had a table booked. Female member of staff wasn’t interested and waved us to our table. Waited 20 minutes to be served as someone else’s bill was on the QR code. Drinks arrived and the cork had not been removed from our bottle of wine. ??? No one seemed then capable of removing the cork until the manager intervened. This guy was running around like a blue arse fly while the other staff did very little including then female corpse who greeted us. Pretty embarrassing to be honest, the manager should be promoted and the rest sent to the job centre. Food was great - service was utter shite.
Portsmouth-Zizzi
Julia was wonderful, accommodating all our requests with ease, patience and a smile! The lasagne was the best I have tasted in years, no overwhelming garlic.
They didn’t let us in
They didn’t let us in, without even apologies. They had spaces outside, but the waiter said” I can’t serve you outside, I am not a machine and it is only me working”.
So disappointed.
It happened in Gloucester Zizi.
Zizzi Westfield - Please clear our table
Zizzi Westfield Review
I'm not really a fan of Italian food. But just food in general.
We had a pleasant enough evening, but service could have been better.
I liked the options for the kids starter.
I was surprised at the limited drink options with kids meal. There didn't seem to be a healthy option. When I mentioned this to the waiting staff, no alternative was offered.
I was disappointed that all our food wasn't delivered to the table at the same time. I would have thought this would have been a basic requirement, as people who spend money to go out for a meal together, would like to eat together.
Italian food seems to be a festival of Carbohydrates. Which wasn't ideal for my no carbohydrates diet. I decided on a chicken salad, but would have Preferred something more substantial.
It was also disappointing that our finished plates were not removed until after our desserts. So we had to move our meal plates to one side, in-order to make Space for our dessert. Sadly another basic error in service.
Unfortunately, the mobility toilet was not in a good state.
It seems clear from this and other reviews, the food is very good. But the service does not match the quality of the food.
Sadly this is happening alot.
Restaurants with great quality food are cutting corners with low staffing levels. I hope this does not prove to be a false economy for Zizzi.

I have been waiting for someone to be seated, but even when the waitress were next to us she don't even look at as and walk away to chat with guy from bar we been waiting for 5 to 10 min everybody from staff knows we waiting to be seated but no one come to even say something like could you wait a sec. Or something so after being ignored we just walk away . Disrespectful meadowhall Sheffield
Kids Eat Free, well not in Zizzi :-(
Most restaurants in Bracknell are helping mum's and dads by offering "kids eat free" this summer holiday. They have got some great publicity, of the right kind, on flyers etc advertising the great efforts the town is going to for school kids.
Unfortunately, Zizzi's is having nothing to do with it and is one of the few who are totally refusing to join the scheme in Bracknell. When I asked them why, they couldn't or wouldn't answer, they just suggested I travel to another town.
I sort of took their advice and instead I travelled to another restaurant, Pizza Express, right next door to Zizzi. Great pizzas so Zizzi have done us a favour and we will move our elegance to our new find from now on......
Tipping Culture! - Bankside London.
Excellent all round BUT! What ruined it for us was the anticipation of tips.....
The food was expensive which we expected as it is London and we were day trippers there, £82.94 for a main meal, garlic bread, two soft drinks and ice cream but it was very satisfactory.
Tips.... I do hate (with passion) the hidden added 'Optional Team Tip' as they call it. I'm not mean, I did give the girl a fiver in cash, I like to choose WHO I voluntarily give my tips to if I wish to give one, but when I queried the added tip on the bill she turned very glum, it was embarrassing and unpleasant even though we half expected and talked about (wife and I) this before the bill came.
Does not these restaurants etc not pay minimum wages for their staff? McDonalds and many other businesses do not add tips, and in my low paid job, I never got tips, so why is this becoming the fashion here? we are not the United States of America!
We would have revisited this restaurant again if tips had not come up, now it is unlikely we would go back for fear of further embarrassment and being remembered.
Awful
Zizzi Lakside what a shambles!!!. Me my son and my mum went for a meal after being at bowling, well firstly on entering we had to wait 10mins to be acknowledged a waiter then comes over at last! And seats us in direct sunlight i then asked to be moved. They came round so quick to order our drinks we hadn't even looked but took forver to order our food my mum had to get the waiters attention. Food came we couldn't finish it all so we asked for some takeaway boxes, the waiter only brings 2!!!. The experience was awful they are too busy focusing on the uber eats/just eat people. Do not recommend!!!
Rubish
Food was ok, my kids both ordered a kids meal, and it took 2 hours waiting overall. Drinks came fast but nothing else did. When we paid the bill they still have not cleared the first course. They also overcharge me.

Zizzi Norwich - We walked out.
Zizzi Norwich. Nothing we wanted on the menu was available. We had a table for 4 tonight. Everything we wanted to order was unavailable (incl. Starters and Mains). The staff kept on coming back to attempt to take the food order and when we'd chosen alternatives, they werent available either. There seemed to be particular issue with no mozzarella cheese. We left, but we had to pay for the drinks. The staff should really state what is NOT available as they give you the menus. Also - I'll never order drinks first, without the food order. Lesson learned. A wasted evening, but glad we walked out.
