First time using designer rooms
First time using designer rooms. Went in at August and ordered a dining table with a bench and 4 chairs. We where completely aware chairs will be delayed. That's not a hassle atall. We accepted that. Dealings where great making order in-store. Paid deposit and where told the table and beck would be ready towards end of September. We where happy with that and asked if we could delay it slightly as we where moving into a new home on the 2nd of October. They said yes no problem we can hold items at the warehouse for a short period. Excellent. Meant we could have it delivered after we move. Got text on 27th August saying we had to pay the rest and book delivery slot for the partial delivery of table and bench. Went back in-store. Paid for the rest and then booked for the day after we moved the 3rd of October. Perfect as work was being carried out including moving one of the kitchen lights to sit above the dining table. Tradesmen including electrician where in that hole day and would work perfect. Delivery driver called and said he was on his way. They arrived with a bench. No table. What good is a bench with no table to sit at. We rejected the bench as it was useless. Spoke to DR and they said the table was no longer there and would be end of October. Not a good experience. I'm now left with a hole in my ceiling and need to pay an electrician and joiner to come back and move the light and patch the ceiling once it arrives. If it ever does. feel like going in and getting a refund and going elsewhere. Was supposed to be a nice treat going to designer rooms. chairs will be December but we where fully aware they would be delayed. We where not told whatsoever that table would be almost a month after we moved. Pay over the odds in a shop to have good service and you get messed about. Not only that we will be out of pocket more paying for tradesmen again. Will not use them again.

I had spoke with Jacqui on the phone about what I had seen on the website, she was lovely and said to pop into store. Came into store and was welcomed ordered my items was easy and straight forward, great customer service.

JAMES he's amazing helpful knowledgeable. I really only deal with him when I go to the designer rooms. He is such an asset to your company.
You also have a wonderful team in silverburn.
So welcoming love them.

After staff in TDR initially asked if they could be of help we were left in peace to browse and make our own choices. Robert (Silverburn) was courteous and helpful when we bought two new table lamps, arranging for us to collect them at the Prestwick branch. Today, 11/10/25, Liz allowed us the same courtesy (to browes around) and hospitality (2 coffees) which was much appreciated. That was our 3rd purchase from TDR and im sure we'll be visiting again when it comes to buying a new coffee table! It's always quality at a reasonable price for us.

We have bought a few things from this store now for our new house and each time we have come in we are met by such happy and warming staff! Instantly made to feel so welcome! Don't hassle you, just let you know that they are there if you need a hand which is perfect!!
The whole team from the managers to the sales team are such a good fit- the customer service has been excellent. Very sad to see this store closing as it's became our favourite to visit- the chats are great- they actually ask how you are as their customers which is so rare! Cracking bunch of folk, would leave 100000 stars if I could!

In Silverburn we had a wonder for a few bits for the house. Nicola (Nicole?) was so so helpful. Totally took a genuine interest with our home, the feels and what vibe we wanted. We had a good laugh together as well. She helped us pick out wall art and a gorgeous rug!!🤩 Shame Silverburn is closing down. Nicola is moving to Braehead store. Definitely worth a nosy inside!
