Poor customer service, no accountability

I had a serious problem at Super Star Car Wash – Mission Valley on September 15. During the automatic car wash, either the machine malfunctioned causing the car in front of me to go off track or it was their own negligence. This caused scratches and rim damage to my car.

I filed an incident report in person and online, expecting a prompt response, as their website promises replies within 3 business days. It’s now been several weeks, and after a brief initial reply, the company has completely ignored all follow-ups.

This is unacceptable customer service and a clear lack of accountability. If your car is damaged here, don’t expect Super Star Car Wash to take responsibility or resolve the issue. I strongly recommend choosing a different, well-maintained car wash in San Diego that actually stands behind its equipment and treats customers fairly.

If I could leave negative stats I would

If I could leave negative stats I would. I had a small and I mean small mishap at this car wash. The employees were understanding and helpful. What I mean by small..the damage was $180, which is a small issue. I reached out to corporate and hr to no avail. They will not return phone calls or emails. After many and many more they had me submit a claim and that was it. No return phone calls , no returns emails. I would encourage everyone to avoid using this company as they will not stand behind there service or their company nor their customers. I’ve been a member for over 4 years. As of today obviously I’m no longer a member or a customer. My reasoning of this review is to hopefully stop anyone else from going thru this. If anything happens no matter how small they will not respond to you and could care less. No phone calls , no emails, they just disappear. Who does business this way?? My money and support will be going somewhere else.

Vehicle damaged during wash

Employee did not put the car wash on the correct setting, resulting in the machine breaking off the rear brake light of our vehicle. Staff at location was supportive and completed appropriate documentation. The claim goes through “corporate.” However, there is no contact information available to speak with an actual person. 20 days since the incident and have received 3 automated email responses with no solutions sight. Avoid this business. There is nothing super about them.

BEWARE OF ILLEGITIMATE CHARGES

I canceled weeks ago, yet I was charged again today. This is the second time I have had this company run afoul with double billing, and now just out right "we have your card, why not bang it?!?"

Website & phone don't work. These folks need a visit from the feds. They double bill so much, it is the number one choice when trying to submit a complaint online.

WARNING

WARNING: NEVER USE THIS PLACE! They need to be shut down! I am an elderly woman and I live in NE. I used SuperStar car wash in Casa Grande (Cottonwood) for a ONE time car wash while visiting there 4 months ago. I now see my card has been charged monthly since then! THEY ARE THIEVES!!! I have attempted to work with them with NO response! I will shut down my account so their lying thieving hands can’t continue to steal from me!

If I could rate them with a negative 5…Awful Car Wash. Awful Servie.

If I could rate them with a negative 5 I would.
Lots of problems and promises broken
First, about half of their vacuums don’t work. They are aware of the problem and have been for months, and yet they refuse to clean the filters in order to have their “free” vacuums work. There is no suction or insufficient suction.
Secondly, they often do not even have CLEAN towels to wipe the water spots off your vehicle or clean the windshield.
Third, you CANNOT reach a real person, no matter what extension you use…on purpose.
Forth, I submitted an email detailing these aggravating defiencies and didn’t get a response FOR WEEKS. When I finally heard something from a random email (not identified in ANY WAY as Super Star) they said, “Sorry it’s taken so long…we’ll get back to you in a little bit.” TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE customer “service,” wouldn’t you say?

I’ve tried on three separate occasions…

I’ve tried on three separate occasions to get a refund and to stop my membership only to have it thwarted as there is no way to contact their customer service via phone. They do not respond to emails or texts so I get a monthly billing. Extremely annoying, time consuming and unprofessional to the degree highest degree. Do not buy a membership from these grifter scam artist

I've been trying to cancel my…

I've been trying to cancel my membership since last year. Now January 2025 is here and I got charged again. I tried to cancel my membership online several times and it did not allow me to. I then called customer service and they put me on hold for 20 minutes to come back on the phone and tell me I don't have a membership. I've sent several emails and nobody responds. Now I can't find a good contact number to speak to a human about my complaint.

AVOID superstar

I purchased a new vehicle a year ago and retired that license plate. The next wash I requested the attendant switch my membership to the new vehicle and provided new payment info. 11/24 I discovered that they were still billing me for the old account and the attendant did not transfer my membership but just opened a new one. I submitted my complaint 12/1, only automated email it was received, same 12/15. A third complaint 1/6 with no response. Telephone only takes you to an automated system, cannot speak to anyone. I cancelled my membership and moved to Tommy's a few minutes away that offers better service and more comprehensive services. AVOID superstar, my situation in not unique

Super star car wash is shaddy

Super star car wash in December. During the wash piece of molding was knocked off, I was told to fill out a damage report which I did. It took super star car wash 3 weeks to get back to me. I had to fill out another report. Super star is still sending me messages that my report is still wrong. They send a message every few days. This company is very is very shady. I wouldn't do business with them again. I would suggest anyone who needs a car washed look for a reputable place. I gave them 1 star,because there is nothing lower.
This was the response from Super Star car wash after a couple of months "
After a thorough investigation, it has been determined by our Operational Leadership Team, that the Super Star Car Wash equipment at the Grant Location did not cause any damage to the 2021 Hyundai Tuson . Damage is from wear and tear of vehicle and thus the claim has been denied."the molding was over the roof rack channel. It's just a cover if you don't have a rack. This business should be avoided at all costs, they are cheats and crooks.

Damaged Vehicle

While going through the carwash, the driver's side rear view mirror was damaged and left dangling by the electrical wires. When I complained to the manager, he suggested that i file a complaint with the corporate office. When I asked for a number to the corporate office, he said they didn't have one. That was not a good sign!!! So far, I've send all documents to their corporate office FOUR times and no response. It's clear, this car wash does not care about their customers. Consequently, I placed a stop payment on the monthly membership.

Company remedied this situation.

FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY- They are charging me $24.95 monthly and I didn’t sign anything, It’s fraudulent. Can’t get a hold of them -cant submit online - doesn’t work - have to have my credit card company dispute it - just caught it and it’s been since May- they have been charging me illegally. $175 has been charged on my credit card. This location is 7th street and Rose Ave in Phoenix If you must go to Superstarcarwash - pay cash!

And I'm not the only one who comes out…

And I'm not the only one who comes out of this car wash with damaged rims. The left front and rear rim were damaged while driving through the car wash with my new car.
It felt like someone hit the car from the left in the middle of driving through the car wash. I didn't think anything of it and drove home in to the garage. The next day I saw the damage to the rims. It looked like a half-moon. So, I went back and complained. A new employee filled out the complaint form and said the company would contact me. I waited 4 weeks, but nobody contacted me. I cancel my membership immediately. Don't use this car wash if you have low profile wheels.

f your business is focused on vehicle cleanliness, your truck shouldn't spill out garbage onto the street when you open the door.

When I got there the washing machine stopped working and I asked a couple of questions about how long this might take because I have a life to live and can't waste my time waiting for a paid service to be provided. Before I could finish my second question the goofy looking ponytail guy decided he was going to mansplain why I should wait quietly while he fumbled through his truck. Note: if your business is focused on vehicle cleanliness, your truck shouldn't spill out garbage onto the street when you open the door. When I started to talk to "David" again, he became very dismissive of me and straight up rude. Once he was done dismissing me (the customer) he started talking to another guy that was there.

***Women beware***
David is costing you business.

Today was my first visit to Super Star…

Today was my first visit to Super Star Car Wash and it will be my last. I have a small SUV and the car wash itself was fine. On leaving I asked if the back area was vacuumed and was told it was. Didn't check, I trusted them. It wasn't. I don't like being lied to, won't ever go back.

No corporate Integrity

They charged my two of my cards for over 2 years for one vehicle. After auditing my account and bringing it to their attention, after 7 months of back and forth they are now ignoring me. This is over $1000 they owe and will not correct the issue. Not to mention the all the emails and time.

Went in again and did a decent job. 1st was after purchasing annual pass- same problem no water. After many cars went through with out water including mine-manager realized he failed to turn on water pump. Every can before mine and mine didn't get cleaned...Absolutely unacceptable!

Worst wash ever!

If I could give less stars I would. I use to always bring my truck to this location and when my wife asked where we could take the 4Runner to get detailed I said “I know where to go”! We brought my wife’s 4runner to this location to get a wash and detail after a camping trip. We specifically asked for no armorall because we live down a 5 mile dirt road in New River AZ and armorall just makes everything look worse after a dirt road. Not only did they armorall the entire inside and outside, but they did the tires, the wheels and all the metal on the exterior of the truck. When we talked to Mike the salesman he wrote “no armorall” on the window. After 3.5 hours and $250.00 they wanted to re-wash the truck. When I returned to the wash to complain I also noticed that the driver side mirror had been broke. Dominic the manager was nowhere to be found. So now I’m out $250.00 plus I have a broken mirror and Dominic is unwilling to even refund my money. This place is a joke and I will never return and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to beware of this company as they not only break your vehicle but they do a horrible job and are very over priced! Please see photos and let me know if you would pay money for this!
