Very poor customer services department
Very poor customer services department. I have issues with my Octavia and Skoda seems in no rush trying to find a resolution despite being in warranty for another 9 months. I wouldn't buy another. Motor Ombudsman is my next move.
I feel that Skoda have let me down
I feel that Skoda have let me down on customer service and the car is very unreliable considering it has only just done 40,000 miles. Skoda have not even investigated the problems with my car, or even asked for the water pump back which I still hold which the garage took out. I am very unhappy with the service that I have received from Skoda when I am a loyal customer who has owned over 4 Skodas and always maintain my vehicles to Skoda's high standards with Skoda garages. When I have spoken to customer service agents at Skoda, they do not provide a manager's name and the only person who responds to my emails is Luthando Dudumashe, who is part of my complaint, which does not seem appropriate. I have also spoken to Ashlene Daniels at Skoda who told me to shut up and listen, but she does not listen to me as the client. Luthando Dudumashe and Ashlene Daniels at Skoda are both very rude and just put the phone down on you when you complain. Ashlene Daniels confirmed that Luthando Dudumashe had reviewed my complaint and he has stated that they will not investigate it further; therefore they keep closing my complaints down with investigating it. Luthando Dudumashe and Ashlene Daniels have been negligent by not investigating my complaint and are very rude and unprofessional.
Product great. Customer Care Awful
Leased an Enyaq Sport 85x in March this year. Brilliant car, fast comfortable, easy to drive, excellent range, fast charge. Easily matches the Kia EV 6 that I leased previously. My only criticism is the Skoda support. Within one week of taking delivery the right wing sprang at the seam behind the lights pod. There is absolutely no evidence of any damage or contact that would have caused this and this has been confirmed by the maintenance manager at the local dealer. I have complained to Skoda Warrenty and they told me to get a report from the garage. I have requested this report several times and nothing has appeared and no one at Skoda seems to give a damn. This is not customer care. It is customer could not careless. I shall now get it repaired my self and send the invoice to Skoda and then take them to court if they do not honour their warranty.
Had my first ŠKODA Fabia about 2 weeks…
Had my first ŠKODA Fabia about 2 weeks and this replaces many years of having Fords and I’m already disappointed with making the change. The Fabia is heavy on petrol compared to my former fiesta hybrid STline however apart from this the Fabia is indicating faults, amber messages is popping up on the screen however seems like that until a message is red and at which point I’ve been told to stop driving, that the service centre wouldn’t be willing to look at the car so a decision has been made that I’m going to part ex the car and buy ford again. ŠKODA was recommended however I’m not experiencing them to be good cars. Hopefully in 2 weeks I’ll have replaced it, 2 cars within a month, I didn’t expect that. It’s not new, it’s a 74 reg and was only £19k so I reckon you get what you pay for. I’ll buy new next and probably a puma hybrid STline.

Awful experience with Marshall Škoda Northampton – avoid
I purchased a used Škoda Scala (KM21 XHB) from Marshall Škoda Northampton in June 2025 for £13,750. Within just 2,500 miles of ownership, the car developed serious faults: both track rod ends split, brakes were corroded and rubbing, and a persistent engine knock/tick appeared. I also later noticed poor paintwork that had clearly been covered up at the point of sale.
To keep the car roadworthy I had to spend £541 at another Škoda dealer for urgent repairs, with old parts retained as evidence. Despite this, Marshall Northampton have repeatedly denied liability, even suggesting without evidence that a third-party alignment service caused the damage.
When I raised these concerns, I was met with an aggressive and dismissive response from Damon Bell, Sales Manager, which only added to the stress of an already unacceptable situation.
Škoda UK customer service have also failed to resolve matters — repeated delays, broken promises of call-backs, and no meaningful outcome. Months later, I remain out of pocket, still driving a car with unresolved faults, and still fighting to enforce my consumer rights.
This experience has been stressful, costly, and deeply disappointing. I expected professionalism, honesty, and a quality vehicle — instead I’ve had poor workmanship, aggressive treatment, and no accountability.
I cannot recommend Marshall Škoda Northampton and strongly caution others to think twice before buying here.

Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service
Bought this vehicle from a Group 1 Auto dealer in July.
Before we had taken the vehicle off the forecourt we spotted a damaged door trim /seal. The sales ‘executive’ apologised profusely and said the vehicle would be booked in to have the seal replaced.
However, this is when the fun began - in the subsequent customer satisfaction survey we gave the dealer four stars, not five - the dealer then messaged us to state they would not have the damage repaired (not sure yet if this is a legal contravention!). Within five weeks of having the vehicle the air-con has run out of gas, and when we had this independently verified we were also notified the two rear tyres were showing signs of perishing.
You’d like to think buying from an authorised dealer gave you some guarantees, but apparently not !
How standards have fallen at Skoda!
Don't buy their cars
Purchased a brand new Skoda Karoq in 2021, it's done 13,000 miles and it's warranty has just expired.
The clutch broke making the car undriveable. I was unable to book my car in a Skoda garage for more than 6 weeks, so took it to an independent specialist. They replaced the clutch master cylinder which was faulty and leaking, the clutch slave cylinder which had an improper seal on it, the clutch plate which waa severely damaged with heat spots caused by a faulty diaphragm. In total the repairs cost just under £2k.
Skoda customer service manager (Morgan Boudjeldikca) was dreadful. They said they have no legal obligation cover faulty parts outside of the warranty, even though the car had only done 13k miles.
They clearly don't value customers who have spent tens of thousands of pounds on their faulty cars.
Shame on them.
Skoda give a free 3 year tyre…
Skoda give a free 3 year tyre insurance that covers accidental damage on new cars, but it's not worth the trouble to get a tyre replaced on that insurance, I was give the cheapest tyre that they had, so I have 2 dirent makes of tyres on the front of the car, that can interfere with the cars monitoring system, I will pay for my own tyre replacement.
Great service from Yeomans! We dealt with Tim Hector from Yeomans…
We dealt with Tim Hector from Yeomans Bridgwater when we bought an EV Škoda Elroq. Tim was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and at no time did we feel pressured or rushed into making a decision. We found a few minor issues with the car and they were all addressed without any fuss. We are popping back for tuition on some of the technical gadgets too!
My 23 Reg Škoda Kodiaq Breakdown with terrible customer experience
I want to share my recent experience with my 2023 Škoda Kodiaq to highlight a serious breakdown in cross-border customer support.
While on holiday in Marseille with my wife and two young children, the car completely failed to start — no lights, no ignition. The AA European Assist arranged recovery and confirmed it wasn’t a battery fault, suggesting a deeper electrical issue requiring a Škoda-approved dealership diagnosys.
Despite my repeated efforts, for four weeks no Škoda France dealership agreed to inspect the car. The only solution offered was to repatriate it to the UK, a process expected to take 4–6 weeks.
The AA were very supportive and extended their courtesy car well beyond policy limits. However, Garland Motors Škoda Aldershot — who sold me two top-of-the-range Kodiaqs (£100k+ in 4 years) — refused to provide a courtesy vehicle, citing the lack of a diagnostic. This is an internal process issue, not a customer-centric solution.
The result? I am left paying finance on a car I cannot use, funding my own rental vehicle, and managing two children during the summer holidays without adequate transport.
As a loyal customer, I find the lack of coordination between Škoda UK and Škoda France unacceptable. A global brand should provide seamless support across markets but they don't seem to have any relationships.
I am still requesting that Škoda provide a fully covered courtesy/rental car until my own vehicle is repaired and returned. I am spending £80 a day on a smaller rental vehicle and I don't see the end of this terrible experience.
I still hope Škoda will address this urgently and prevent other customers from facing the same experience.
In the meantime, Skoda has great cars. If anything happens, you're pretty much on your own.
Skoda kodiaq Hybrid 9 months old…
Skoda kodiaq Hybrid 9 months old decided it didn't want to drive anymore. Pulling into the culdisack "Hybrid System failure" recovery was arranged and a courtesy car dropped off. The apologies to the neighbours for not being able to pass the stricken vehicle blocking the entrance.
Skoda Letchworth had the car for exactly 1 week the fix " they ran a software update" the car was collected and approximately 20miles later on a very busy carriageway live lane it decided the updated wasn't the fix and the car flashed the same message " Hybrid system failer" now once the car has displayed this warning of the Hybrid system failure there is no drive not from the Hybrid system nor the combustion engine. Nothing this thing is stationary. Fast forward 5 weeks our brand new car is sitting in the back of letchworth skoda car park where it has sat waiting for them to recieve a special tool... no updates ( unless we've chased for one ) car hasn't moved ( tracked ) 5 weeks for a special tool they now claim to have received, and alk we have to wait for now is the special technician that know how to work on this Hybrid car with a new shiny special tool. Such a shame these electric cars have been pushed through because they are unreliable expensive to repair and evidently they havnt got the tools or the know how to keep these expensive portable battery packs on the road.
Central Skoda are a waste of time
After huge problems with Allams, Epsom, I went to UK central Skoda for help. The team are all based in Cape Town! I asked for help with (a) the problems with the garage and that they couldn't solve the fault and (b) for them to recommend somewhere else and/or obtain central advice on the fault. Their answer - you have to stick with Allams and we can't recommend anywhere else you just need to go on the internet and choose.
Poor service and uncaring
I work full time and despite having autism I cope well but struggle with companies who rely on virtual assistants and impersonal customer service like Skoda UK. Long stoery short, I purchased a Skoda Fabia 19 plate at listers and after16000 miles in a year the clutch went which cost £1650 and was not covered on warranty. Whilst I accept it is possible wear and tear and I might be partially the cause they could not prove and would not even cover £1 towards the cost. As a result I will never buy a Skoda again because of the shabby and feckless attitude and lack of urgency I experiencefrom them. The communication also between Skoda, Enterprise cars and listers sucks.
Family cars - AVOID SKODA!
If you are considering a Skoda for your next family car please DON’T!!!
Our Kodiaq is less than 6 months old, it has failed and cut out mid-drive multiple times. We have 2 small children travelling in the car daily and it’s a miracle we haven’t had a horrible accident when these incidents have taken place.
The entire gear box has been replaced twice!!
They are supposed to respond to a complaint within 8 weeks, but if they decide the complaint should be handled by a different team they restart those 8 weeks??
I would like this assigned to a customer service senior manager immediately. I’m not sure what it will take to get some help - if we have a horrendous accident due to the car failing entirely for a 4th time will Skoda then do something about it??

5 and a half hours I’ve been waiting for a recovery for my Skoda.
Absolutely useless company.
Poor after sales care from skoda
My car display shows issue with emission control system so needs diagnostics and repair by skoda. Local skoda dealer can’t look at it till October (3 months) fully booked. Helpfully advised if it breaks down get car recovered to them!
If you buy a skoda please bear in mind the after sales care is unacceptably poor.
Avoid Like The Plague
I bought a second hand vehicle from a non Skoda dealership. After a few days, had an amber warning on my binnacle. Booked it in to 'Johnsons Skoda Birmingham'. I had a call to say the vehicle was fixed and ready to be picked up. I paid the £168 and within a few days, the warning re appeared. When i phoned them up, they said if I bring it in and a different fault code is read, then I would get charged again. I explained that I had exactly the same issue as I had before but still this subtle threat that I had to potentially pay AGAIN for the issue that they did not fix in the first place.
I complained to Skoda customer services and they did not want to know. They kept saying I had to take the vehicle back in for diagnosis but I explained why should I have to pay for something they did not fix in the first place. After a quite useless ping pong of e mails with the 'Customer Relations Manager', I decided to call her and express my frustrations on the situation. She has not got back in touch with me since. Pathetic.
I also got in touch with the 'Skoda Digital Support' team as I could not log in to be the primary user for my Skoda app. They said I needed to take my car into the workshop for an update which would incur another charge. I work for a UK automotive manufacturer and their software updates are done automatically - but not Skoda. Money, Money, Money! Not a care for the customer.
Overall really appalling customer service - the worst I have encountered. I sincerely hope people read these reviews before making the decision to spend tens of thousands on a Skoda
If i can prevent just one person spending their hard earned on one of their vehicles, then this review will be worth it.
Avoid like the plague!
One user for the app
Only primary user can use the app. I’m a secondary user of the car and cannot charge car anywhere without bothering primary user to prompt start charging. So inconvenient! Had to drive on petrol only while was away from home without primary user.
Can’t wait till lease ends.
Skoda? Never again…
