Overnight Reversal Trades. 39% Win Rate

On July 9, 2025 I attended the Marc Litchenfeld online presentation of his new strategy OVERNIGHT REVERSAL TRADES. He looks for stocks that go down 15% for the day (Dogs of the Day) or up 15% for the day (Darlings of the day). When that happens, he said that back testing has shown Dogs reverse 83% of the time and Darlings 88% of the time , both overnight. When that happens, he will send email and text at 3:45 PM telling you what option to open, a Call or Put. Cost $1997 per year. I bought. Since then his record has been awful! 9 wins, 14 losses or 39% win. Dart boards can do better! At one point in August/September, he gave no trades for Overnight Reversal for 29 days. Apparently because the Overnight system doesn't work, he provides other trades from his Technical Pattern Profits system and 23 Enigma, both of which should be 2 separate subscriptions. They don't work, either! I always thought Oxford Club was the gold standard of advisory services. They may be, but not with Marc Litchenfeld.

Absolute waste of money

Absolute waste of money in my experience. Very disappointing. The whole thing seems like a perpetual advertising scheme, scamming to try to get you to join another special investment club for a few K. After all, if you spend a few K on an investment club, you expect results - no so in my experience.

I joined Technical Patterns for a couple plus K with the promise of a single hot tip per month. Instead i get multiple “hot tips” per week. Marc always provides some lame excuse when they almost invariably don’t work out - The breakout hasn’t held, Didn’t perform as expected, Taken an unexpected downturn, etc. etc. etc.

He then has the audacity to celebrate the occasional stocks that have performed out of the many recommended. It makes me sick to read his incessant refrain - Hoping your longs go up and your shorts go down - after losing big. It reads like salt in an open wound.

My recommendation based on sad experience, SAVE your money and you’d probably be as well off with an Ouija board than anything that these folks provide - at least you won’t have too high of expectations and you’ll start off a few grand ahead.

Dropped more than 500 for the basic…

Dropped more than 500 for the basic membership. Got nothing. Hour plus long videos that tell me nothing. Just recommendations to pay much more for actual insights. Sorry I even wasted money on the basic offering. If you want to call it that. I kind of trusted it because I saw that O'Reilly was the host and I kind of trust him. So far, just a disappointment. Unless I'm missing something.

Oxford Communiqe (read the small print)

I paid over $4.4kUS for membership to Oxford Communiqe. Their website is very smart and the presentation by Alex Green is both professional, informative and convincing. That's the good part. However my circumstances changed after parting with my money and I have been trying to get a refund since.
I spoke with one of their customer service people and explained the situation. I then discovered that the '90 day cancellation' does not mean that you get your money back. What it does mean is that you can cancel which ever one of their products you signed up to and can then transfer to any one of their (many) other products. You do not have the option of full cancellation and getting your money back. So I didn't read the 'small print', my fault! However I think an organisation as big and professional as they present themselves should allow flexibility where genuine circumstance change.
I would also suggest that the '90 day rule' should be more prominent rather than being tucked away in the T's&C's
So I have given OC a 3 star rating which I will be happy to change presuming we can agree a refund of 'my' money.

My experience with Oxford Club

I recently listened to Marc Lichtenfeld's Get Rich with Dividends audiobook and was impressed with his thorough discussion of the investing strategy. I thought I'd sign up for the Oxford Income Letter newsletter to learn more and receive his monthly suggestions. I couldn't be more disappointed with the Oxford Club website (the place you are routed to buy the newsletter). The promise that "no credit card is needed" is announced with great pride. Unfortunately, as soon as you click the link, you are taken to a page that requires you to enter a credit card. Undeterred, I called the customer service number in the corner of the page only to be routed around by some kind of useless AI interface. I could never speak to anyone to ask my question about how to sign up for the free information, get the newsletter, or to explain the discrepancies on the website. I really wanted to sign up for his newsletter for $49 (seemed reasonable enough), but I was so turned off by the sleazy feel of the Oxford Club website and the lack of customer service, my Spidey senses started telling me to run away. It's a shame. I think Marc's probably a very talented guy who could share valuable insights with others, but somewhere along the way, his horse got hooked to a company that gives off a feeling of money-grubbing sleaziness.

Nil stars if possible

Nil stars if possible. SCAM please be alert. My father aged 88 queried a payment to The Oxford Club for $1795 Nov 2024.He has been in hospital since & I am chasing it on his behalf . No confirmation email, no invoice, no follow up emails until last Friday when a newsletter was received, conveniently the day after I questioned the subscription
I have spoken to my father & he didn’t t want this subscription, he was not aware he had actually subscribed until appeared on Amex statement. Tried to find out more and radio silence. My father hasn’t received a thing- what was the $1795 for???????? Ideally he wants to cancel subscription & receive a refund as no service received

Been a Lifetime Member since 1993

My 2nd review of The Oxford Club. I have always liked the Communique and the Income Reports. I have done well with their picks over the decades. Sometimes these stocks soar a month or two after they say buy and they usually call a sell before a nosedive. They have made some bad ones here and there, but they use a 25% stop loss to get out if all fails. These guys had Netflix back in 2006. I bought it at $9. They did say sell when it was around $80 but I did keep 100 shares for 19 years now. Happy.

The Oxford club is a rip-off

The Oxford club is a rip-off. They immediately start trying to sell you additional services. They send out long video teasers, which are extremely boring and time-consuming to consume. You can usually get a transcription of the talk, but I cannot figure out what the criteria is or what you need to do to consistently get one. These teasers always end up with them trying to sell you an expensive membership in another sub-group. The newsletter has some useful info, but is not worth the cost of membership. They also regularly send out missives praising the current president and talking about how patriots should take advantage of his genius policies and build generational wealth. All in all a waste of money... Motley Fool is much more useful and a superior product.

Hi IR,

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you didn't find value in your membership. While we do share additional services and research opportunities, we aim to make these optional and easy to opt out of if they're not of interest. Our video presentations always include a transcript link for convenience, and we’re happy to assist if you ever have trouble locating one.

Our editorial team occasionally covers policy when it intersects with market trends, but we strive to remain focused on financial insights, not political commentary. We appreciate you giving us a try, and we hope to win your business back in the future.

Hello,

Hello,
To do research by yourself, it could be difficult because my time is limited. I think the club suggest and explain well which one with a long term vision could go up and up. Plenty of stocks are suggested and it's your responsibility to choose which one fit for what you believe. And also Oxford club give you a guide line to balance your portfolio.

I am happy to be with the Oxford club

Tell the truth

Tell the truth. HR 2407 died in 2024 without ever making it to the floor for a vote. I don't know why Alex would perpetrate this fraud. I don't know what good it will do him. I hope it makes GRAL go up. I bought in. I like what this test could do. But it distorted my trust in the Oxford Club, and their associates.

Hi Rick,

After reaching out to our research team for more info, it looks like the bill was reintroduced in January of this year as HR 842. A summary is in progress according to the site below:

I hope you find this helpful.

Hannah was quick to respond and bring my question to Alex. Alex responded with a thorough explanation of the topic that was up for discussion, and I had more knowledge than I did before, and information to take me to stage two thinking on the subject :).

It was all most appreciated.
