Avoid purchasing from this company

Purchased thermal jeggings, took ages to be delivered, Jeggings not as advertised, cheap thin material shiny and fake print Jean effect . Was told I couldn’t return them as product correct from warehouse, insisted that I wanted to return and was informed I would be shipping item back to China and it would be a costly process offered me a £2 compensation to keep them. Avoid this company, I’ve reported to Facebook

SCAMMERS NO STAR RATING!!!!!

If I could I’d not even give one star. This company is a total scam. I ordered two pairs of denim, thermal fleece lined jeggings, I put discount code in but still charged full amount, I immediately contacted them telling them I’d been over charged, they were quick to respond, and a partial refund was sent to me. But then even though they advertised as a UK company, my products were sent from America! Took ages to arrive, and when they did, I knew even before I had opened my package that something was wrong! The package was so thin, the advert would make anyone think that one pr of jeggings would be bulkier than my 2pr package! I opened it and found two pts of satin look paper thin “things” no stitching just print stitch and button etc. NO fleece lining at all. I immediately emailed Blazecrown, and told them of my disappointment, there were some emails exchanged, basically telling me item is as ordered! £3.00 refund?!!! Always apologetic, but then I told them and sent attachments of reviews, all dissatisfied customers! I the said I had made a report to Facebook, and was going to go to consumer services also, I have now been waiting 3 days for a response!
I’m usually very good at checking companies out, reading reviews etc, but as it said it was a UK based company I didn’t bother! My stupidity cost me! Please don’t buy from them, SCAMMERS

Poor quality

The product looks great but in fact it is absolutely below standard. max 3 charging cycles and then suddenly the laser doesn't start any longer. Support zilch.
One of those products which are expensive but do not deliver the quality the market requires. .

I was so excited about this light but…

I was so excited about this light but having now owned one for quite some time I have to say there are some serious flaws that make the pricetag seem steep.

Firstly, the green bike symbol is only visible when it is completely dark and the streets don't have streetlamps. So this aspect is not as helpful as it might at first appear. The white LED is good though.

Secondly it is a bit wobbly in the mount. Mine has never fallen out yet but I can see that it could very easily with adverse terrain. And I note that for a number of people it has fallen out of the mount.

Finally the USB charging aspect seems to be very precarious and faulty. The light I have now is infact the second unit. The first one stopped fully charging after about 6 months of ownership. It would appear to charge and get to the fully charged state but whenever I then turned it on it would show the 25% blue LEDS. Evans replaced this unit for me with a new one. At first that charged fine but now this one too has the same issues as the first. So clearly it is a fault.

Overall it is a promising light but there are too many flaws that need to be ironed out before the price can be justified.

This light is worth the money

First of all I only bought the blaze laser light and back burner because I got them as a set and there was a good offer on at the time, like any excited little person I was trying them out as soon as they turned up. Unfortunately like anything electronic my laser light turned out to be faulty. A chat with customer service and a few emails back and forward and everything was all sorted, customer services were fantastic to deal with trying to get any problems resolved asap, within a week my new working light was in hand, they couldn't of done anything more to help me than thay did. Fantastic service. Next due to some unfortunate weather all I was able to do was just look at my lights, finally I got the chance to get out on my bike lights fitted and working awesome, the laser got people's attention and the led gave me good light and vision. The back burner very bright and makes sure your well noticed. In shot great guys to deal with and fantastic product

Dangerous light due to badly designed mounting system

Due to the badly design mounting system my blaze laserlight has fallen off the bike many times, including twice in a very busy central London rush hour commute. The cyclist behind nearly fell over and it was easily a life or death situation. Needless to say after the drop every time the mounting steel pole just gets more bent and the light itself more damaged. The light itself doesn’t even work now as the internal wire seems to be detached somehow so the light turns itself off as soon as I hit a gentle bump on the road.

Bear in mind this is a bike light costing £125 and it broke gradually over a year I would definitely recommend anyone NOT to purchase this light. Blaze customer service certainly did not help by refusing to offer a replacement and instead try to blame the user for not mounting the light properly... completely unacceptable.

Reply from Blaze

Hi YaoJen,

Thank you for you taking the time to share your thoughts. We spoke back in November/December about your Laserlight and the issues you’d been having. Your initial email spoke about the light coming out of it’s bracket and we took a look to see what the issue was. When you sent photos through the steel post at the bottom of the Laserlight was bent which would be from improper mounting into the bracket or from damage to the Laserlight.

We offered to take a look at your light and we got it posted back to HQ and straightened out the post for you. We also made you aware of a rattle coming from the inside of the light which was from the battery coming loose. This would only happen from the Laserlight being dropped or damaged and is therefore not covered under our warranty.

The end of our conversation was an offer from Blaze to put your Laserlight into our repair/recycle scheme which we put in place for issues such as these. We take customer service very seriously and our original offer is still in place if you’d like to drop us an email and get things resolved.

Additionally as we mentioned when we reached out to you last week we would be very open to hearing your thoughts in more detail as to how we could improve our product for the future.

All the best,

Blaze

Not worth the pricetag

I splashed out to get this and have been disappointed for a number of reasons. Firstly, on the positives, the white light and normal settings are bright and very visible, it's nicely designed and was easily fitted with the brackets. It came with inserts to adjust for the size of handlebar. The light is also difficult to accidentally turn on in your bag which saves on battery.

On the negatives though, if you cycle in the city, the LED bike symbol isn't very visible on already lit up streets at night or in the early evening - it needs to be properly dark. Seeing as this is the main feature of the light, it seems rather redundant if you're a city commuter. The USB cable charge is magnetised and the connection isn't very strong, easily knocked off. And finally, mine is actually no longer useable after less than 6 months. Blaze have told me it is due to damage I have caused but at most this is having dropped it a couple of times, therefore not covered under warranty. In my opinion you can spend a whole lot less for a much more durable light of equal visibility that can withstand normal use (and being accidentally dropped a couple of times!).

Finally, I found the bike symbol is mainly useful for visibility by other cyclists and pedestrians rather than vehicles on the road. It stopped pedestrians in their tracks and not step into my path! Another cyclist did comment that it was distracting to them when both the LED and light was on flash mode.

Doesn't illuminate in the rain.

I live in an area of our amazing planet that has seasonal rains . Riding home through the rain my blaze stopped working . Now I'm home writing this review and my light is "on the blink " ie: on off on off.
Now I've put it in front of a fan , the light beam is constant now though weak. I read a review that states waterproof (1m) . Useless if not waterproof when one needs it most ! The design and functions are great when they work.

How much fun is this light? Safe and fun.

I just wanted to say what a fun light this is. I saw it when it first came out, but because it wasn't a US product, I wanted to make sure that it was going to work the way they planned it. It's not an inexpensive light. Finally after 2 years, it still had great reviews, so I decided to suck it up and buy it. Why did I wait so long?

I live in Chicago and ride the lakefront a lot in the dark. It is packed with people and it is dark. I have never had so much fun riding my bike at night. I had so many comments and people saying that it was the coolest thing they have ever seen the entire ride home.

I had a guy one time follow me, and then pull next to me before he was going to exit thanking me for making his ride fun as well watching and hearing the reactions to the people on the path. It's visible to those in front of me. I'd love to see what it looks like for those approaching me, but thanks for making a great light.

It's also safe on the streets. The lazer is so bright, so not only is it fun, but it's safe. Now I can't wait to get my new bike helmet that I ordered on Kickstart that has blinking turn signal lights.

I am truly a light bike geek. I've been hit by cars twice on my bike and once as a pedestrian (and I'm really careful), so great lights certainly help.

Best light for the price, in fact nothing even comes close!

I've have had some $300. Lights for my bike that have come and gone as in terrible battery life. I had some concerns with it being a rechargeable battery after my experience with other batteries.but this light has been going strong.I have three brackets so I can easily mount it on my bikes. If something happen to this light I would buy another.

The best purchase I've made

Being in India, the conversion cost of the Blaze from GBP to Rupees seemed pretty expensive so I was a bit apprehensive about making this purchase at first. However, after unwrapping the great packaging and mounting the Blaze on my bike all my initial reservations vanished into thin air. This light is just super cool! I love the build and feel of the light. It looks awesome and my first thought when I tried it was that it's an innovation that is so high tech in its simplicity and yet so delightfully complex in its function and inner workings. I'd also like to tell you how it saved me a few days ago. We have these noisy, pollutant public transport vehicles in India known as 'autos', that everyone hates but is resigned to use thanks to their convenience. The main issue with them is that the drivers who man them are irresponsible, devil may care boors who wouldn't care less if they mow down any rider in their path thanks to their reckless driving. Just the other day I was riding to office when an auto driver who was parked right ahead of me suddenly swerved left without so much as a throwaway glance to the left or right. Thankfully, the Blaze which was projecting ahead of me made him jam his brakes and stopped him right in his tracks. I casually moved along my path with a smug look on my face while he stared at me open-mouthed with the most incredulous look I've ever seen on the road. I would also like to add that their customer service is amazing. I have had the best experience with one of their correspondents and my experience definitely strikes me as the most thoughtful and considerate customer interaction that I have had in years. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work and continue saving life and limb.

Amazing light, Easy to set up and good to use for long and short journeys!

I have purchased a light for myself a few months ago and I have found the light has helped me be more visible on the road not just for the fact of the laser projected image but also for the three different standard light modes this shows my visibility on the road. The light is very secure, the weight of the light shows that you are getting your moneys worth out of the light. I've even shown a few family and friends the idea of the light and they have even said how amazing the light is and how it would make a difference on the road when I'm cycling!

Would recommend purchasing one if you are thinking about it!

GREAT - Love it!

Used my Blaze for the first time the other night, and just loved it. Really powerful light to back up the simply awesome laser, to give a bike light which can't be matched in the market place.
