I was asked to change my review. So we just keep it factual i was set up my two people first the operator then the Barrister. Sch teacher was assaulted, Barristered profile claims to know health and safety once talking to HIM it didnt have a clue just sat and look end the cool after 30mins beware of fix rate dont do it. Use AI before this company I promise you.

It seems as if I am not the only person to have a terrible experience with Barristers Connect and Nick Wright. It is almost an identical situation to V.B. below. I paid £300 for an hour and only received 30 mins, partly because the barrister was so objectionable that I didn't really want to talk to him any more. In any case, he made me feel like he was in a hurry and came across as impatient and arrogant.

Just like V.B. below he told me he was on holiday the next week so he wasn't actually going to be available to appear in court if necessary.

I did complain but, it feels a bit of a stitch up because the reviewer decided that the services were reasonable!

Now that I have seen another very similar complaint, I will be complaining to the Ombudsman.

Do not use Barrister Connect if you are in need of legal advice.

I needed a couple of questions answered and found Barrister Connect online a company based in Taunton that offers legal advice paid for by the hour.

I paid £360 for an hour of advice with a barrister regarding a tenancy issue.

The first barrister they assigned- Majed Walker did not get back too me.

I was appointed another barrister Nick Wright who was less helpful in the sense that he was very and dismissive on the phone and told me nothing in the fifteen minutes that I didn’t know already, He sounded like he was in a hurry and said I should email him if I had any more questions. I had paid him
for an hour.

He suggested after fifteen minutes that I email him with any queries. I called him the next day and he was equally as abrupt telling my he 'was on holiday' that was a lie because he already told me he was too busy to attend a mediation with me that week as he was in court on that day.

I have never felt so disappointed and annoyed with a professional before. I desperately needed some questions answered and on both occasions was fobbed off by Nick Wright.

When I requested a refund of my payment of £360 from Barristers Connect they refused and were equally as dismissive,

All I can say is do not use Barristers Connect if you do not want to loose your money.

Stephanie Heijdra was brilliant, prompt and excellent service with short notice. Stephanie has represented my daughter on two separate occasions and we will definitely be using her services again. Highly recommend

Simone Bowman was very thorough with details in the pre-hearing call, and during the hearing she flagged up matters which were vital (which I would not have been sharp-minded enough to see myself). Where do I start, I needed a barrister for a final hearing who I could get without a Solictor, I managed to find 6, but 1 shone out, and it was Nadeem Aslam. Nothing and I mean nothing was too much. I can not put into words what Nadeem did for me. My first chat before I even agreed to represent me was 50mins and then my chat before my hearing was 3 hrs. Nadeem messaged me every day to check up on me before the hearing. I was unable to pay the full amount so Nadeem said just pay bits until 3 days before the hearing and I’ll still represent you. Going to court is hard enough but to find a barrister that not just they for the money but now I can call him my dear friend. The sad part is I didn’t get the result I wanted but that was my fault due to my evidence and Nadeem already warned me before we went into court this will happen. His experience and kindness was priceless. Afterwards he messaged me see if I was ok and also has offered to help me go back to court and get the result I want but not on my own this time. My mum n dad was they he also reassured them that everything was going be ok and explained everything for us.
I can not thank Nadeem enough and I have already recommended him to my friend who needs him for a 3 day trail.please if you need a barrister I mean this don’t look anywhere else apart from Nadeem Aslam, u r not on your own and he will be they every step of the way with you.
