Very poor service

It seems as if I am not the only person to have a terrible experience with Barristers Connect and Nick Wright. It is almost an identical situation to V.B. below. I paid £300 for an hour and only received 30 mins, partly because the barrister was so objectionable that I didn't really want to talk to him any more. In any case, he made me feel like he was in a hurry and came across as impatient and arrogant.

Just like V.B. below he told me he was on holiday the next week so he wasn't actually going to be available to appear in court if necessary.

I did complain but, it feels a bit of a stitch up because the reviewer decided that the services were reasonable!

Now that I have seen another very similar complaint, I will be complaining to the Ombudsman.

I just wanted to address a couple of points.

When a barrister is instructed for a teleconference, the hour you pay for includes the time the barrister spends reading the papers you have sent, so a 30-minute call is not unusual. If the advice can be provided robustly in 30 minutes, a call wouldn't need to be kept going for an hour.

There was also no commitment made regarding the barrister's availability for court. To commit to a hearing, we would need the notice of hearing and would provide a quote for the fee so we can hold the barrister's diary for you. Having said that, I will explore this conversation with the clerk in the Barrister Connect team who handled your enquiry.

Terrible service

I completely agree with Marija below. I too cannot begin to describe the ordeal with their support team. I am going round and round in circles for over a month now. It takes two days to answer each message and the new helper doesn't read my message properly and suggests the same solution that I hav tried before.

I have three websites with TSO and the problem is that the contact form does not work on any of them. A contact form is fairly essential to a website so, if it can't be solved, I have to move to another hosting provider.

You used to be able to ring someone up but, now it's just submit a ticket and wait two days each time for an answer. I've begged for it to be escalated but, no response.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!

I am sorry to hear of the issues you have had. We will generally aim to respond to queries within the day. At times we may have a higher volume of queries that can impact our response times. We of course work as efficiently as possible to respond and resolve all queries.

In regards to your contact form, please note that we have no other reports of issues. There are thousands of other sites hosted on the servers where most will have a contact form. Generally an issue with the contact form will be something within your site code and setup. This would fall to either yourself as the customer or a developer to look into.

The calm in the storm...

I started out with a problem and was getting very frustrated and then I happened to speak to Marianne who had the good sense to see that the problem was that I had two accounts. The problem is now sorted and thanks to Marianne's manner I am a lot more calm!

I absolutely love my Yo-Yo desk!

I have been meaning to get a stand up desk for a while but unfortunately left it till I got sciatica!! I can't tell you how amazing the Yo-Yo desk is, from the minute I got it I've been raving about the virtues of the desk.. I love standing up to work and present at conferences, it is so much more energetic.

Don't wait until you've got a back problem, get one now and I found the desk converter more than adequate.

If I could leave no stars I would…

If I could leave no stars I would. Absolutely shocking customer service from Wiggle!!! I ordered a Garmin, I was charged for it (it's not cheap) but, it wasn't delivered. Yodel accepted it was missing but, despite trying to contact Wiggle, no communication and no Garmin. I've been a customer for years and yet there is no other way of contacting Wiggle other than through a webform that nobody answers. Terrible, terrible service. Bunch of rogues.
