SeatingMind is a Scam – Do Not Buy!
This company is a total scam. I ordered four Herman Miller Aeron chairs on October 3, 2024 for $3,399.96. Not only did I never receive the chairs, but nearly a year later I still haven’t received the refund they promised.
They strung me along for months with excuse after excuse:
• First, I was told the chairs would ship in November, then December, then “next week” (over and over).
• When I finally cancelled on December 11, 2024, I was told the refund would post in 7–9 business days.
• Months later, after dozens of emails and calls, they kept pushing the refund out another 30 days, another 30 days, another 30 days.
• As of June 2025, nothing. No chairs, no refund.
It’s clear this is how they operate: take your money, delay, lie, and hope you give up. Their sales rep (Jacob Kellner) and customer service people all gave me the runaround.
SeatingMind is not a real furniture vendor — it’s a predatory scam. Save yourself the headache, the wasted time, and thousands of dollars. Do not order from SeatingMind.

Purchased from a listing that said "Those chairs where purchased buy a large corporation which they did not end up needing them, due to covid, or they over purchased, so we purchased the load back, and can offer to our customers a larger discounts, They all still look Brand New" Chair is very clearly used, with top of seat and arms showing dirt and upholstered areas having pervasive smell of laundry products.

Horrible. Save your time and money - this company is a scam. I paid over $500.00 for an office chair (which the company cashed and has my money). Its been over a month - NO chair NO delivery. When I contacted the company they said it will be another 4 weeks before they can ship the chair - save your time and money.
SCAM ALERT! This company is just a thief!
This company is just a scam. Once I placed an order, and the credit card was charged, the chair was never shipped. When they said the order would be delayed, I canceled it. They said I'd get a refund in 9 days, and that's the last I heard from them. No refund. I sent emails, left phone messages, with no reply. I eventually got a refund from PayPal but that took over a month. Do not do business with these thieves!

I wish I had looked at reviews prior to placing my order. Like others have said after order is placed the company did not send out a shipment notification. I reached out to the company asking if I would have the chair before Christmas. I was told they understood and the chair would ship with urgency. A week later no shipment notification. When I inquired again I was told it would ship at the end of the month. I requested that the order be cancelled which they agreed to do. I ended up having to file a dispute with PayPal (payment method) to get my refund. They take your money, never send the item and you have to file a dispute to get your money back. They sit on your money until they are forced to refund it by your payment method.
I doubt this is a real company
It took a month and multiple follow ups on my part to request status of the shipment, which kept getting pushed back despite the promise of the shipping and delivery on their website, to get a shipping notice. I guess the shipping notice is fraudulent. Tracking has not shown movement and shows issues, for the last 14 days. It was only because I was so busy I didn't cancel and reorder from elsewhere weeks ago. But now I paid the price on the back end by having to spend time disputing the charge and ordering the chair elsewhere. It costed me over one month's time delay in finishing an office renovation.
Disorganized scammers
Hi - If I could give zero stars and write a review I would. Don't EVER order from them. They charged my card and then cancelled my order in a week. I bought a chair elsewhere. Then they shipped me a chair without my permission and wouldn't cancel it. I had to dispute it on my credit card. They are horrible.
NEVER BUY FROM THEM
I never got an order invoice - and so after looking online I decided to cancel. 11/21/24 cancellation. They just replied consider it cancelled - money back to credit card within 7-9 business days. I filed with credit card company after that time passed. They told me to call company. You can't reach a human being.
Just through email - now in december - they say that they can't stop the order now - it's being shipped. Over a week later - it's being shipped and then they file with credit card company that sale is complete and that i never cancelled order (even though my email from them clearly states that I did).
They just force a sale upon you. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. They know how to play the shipping / delay game and don't provide all the details required by the cc company to get your money back. So you could end up with a box of rocks - no one is on your side. They are not reputable by any means.
Better Business Bureau rating is F. Never seen that before.

They charged my credit card immediately…
They charged my credit card immediately even though they did not have or ship the product. I waited until their original delivery estimate passed to reach out to them. They were difficult to get a response from, when I did, they promised it would ship within 2 weeks. It didn't, then they sent me the exact same promise email with the date pushed out another 2 weeks.
I asked for a refund and to cancel the order. They said they would issue a refund, but did not.
I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company, and Seatingmind lied to them and said they delivered the chairs. After some back and forth, the credit card company did refund the money.
I would suggest NOT trying to purchase anything from them.
FALSE ADVERTISEMENT
Beware: if you have to return your order because the product is broken or does not correspond to your initial order, you will be charged 20% from the total amount no matter what. They call it "service fee"!
The model I ordered, the Mirra 2 chair from Herman Miller, is advertised as a “fully adjustment model”. Their website shows pictures of the chair including all adjustments.
The Mirra 2 chair I received did not include the "seat angle adjustment” tilt, which is a major adjustment. It should have been included with the chair.
I wrote many emails explaining that the chair I received did not match their listing.
They finally agreed on a refund. They sent an email explaining how to return the chair and get the refund, but the "20% service fee" was not mentioned at all.
When I checked my bank statement 10 days later, I noticed that $130 was missing from the total refund.
Their answer was:"We are applying a service fee"on any returns.
I tried to get my money back, with no results. I believe it's unfair. It was a defect. The advertisement was a false claim. At the end, they have their chair back with a bonus of $130.
Shipping is slow - All chairs are used
Shipping is slow. Ordered 6/22, arrived 7/16.
More importantly, the way seatingmind advertises the chairs it makes it sound like they are brand new but on clearance. The chair arrived with several scuffs, a stain, and nails sticking out the armrest.
Also, pictures are of new chairs not what you get.
Buyer beware of this misleading website.

I am updating my review below. It took so long to get this chair, I truly thought I had been scammed. I finally received my chair and it is great. I love the chair. Why 4 stars? Here are the reasons:
1) The way they advertise makes one think we are getting NEW chairs that are on sale, not used chairs. I will say my chair does look new, but after coming here I see they sell used chairs. I was worried!!!
2.) They should be honest about the length of time (about 8 weeks) it takes to get the product. I truly thought I was waiting for a shipment to arrive from China. By the end, I thought I had been scammed. This company needs to be upfront about this so people don't freak out--like I did. I really needed a chair. I don't know a darn thing about chairs. This is the first one I have bought. I love my chair but I probably would have looked around locally for a chair had I known it was going to take so long to get this one.
3) The back does not allow itself to be adjusted, nor does the seat. I am assuming this chair was returned due to these defects. Luckily, I don't care about these defects as the chair is where I would put it anyway.
I will give this company credit for getting back to you quickly. They were fast about answering emails. I will admit that toward the end I thought they were just leading me on. Had they been honest about how they do business, I would not have felt scammed.
Anyway, if you are not in a hurry for a chair, you might give them a try.

I wish I could give them a worse rating. They falsely advertised a chair I purchased as new, unused, over purchased stock from a company during covid. The chair they sent was heavily used, the armrest looked as if a dog had chewed on it for a year. The base had freshly painted silver spray paint that rubbed off on my hands and clothes. The upgraded casters I paid extra for, were completely missing. I immediately reached out to the company to let them know I needed to reject the delivery (which they wouldn’t answer their phones), so had to email. I received an email reply 3 days later asking if i’d just keep the chair for a discount. I told them no, that I it wasn’t the chair advertised and needed to be returned for a full refund. It took them almost 2 weeks before they sent me a return label, for which they are charging me to have UPS pick it up from my location. These guys are a loser company — stay clear of them!! My next stop is BBB.

Hope you read this review before you make a decision to purchase from Seatingmind.com. I bought a Herman Miller Aeron chair from this company for $619 3.5 years ago. The height adjustment is no longer working. After multiple attempts of contacting this company via emails, and sending them the video of the defect, their customer service response was that the defect was not covered under their warranty. They claim that they offer 12 year full warranty.
blatant cons - pls dont fall for their scams
1. Ordered Steelcase Gesture chair 8/20/23 for $724.99 and had delivered on 8/28/23 2. Chair as it was damaged during shipping - got return approval on 9-21 after going back and forth 3. Shipped chair for refund on 9/27/23 and got delivered on 10/18/23 4. Refund “processed” on Nov 3rd and was told it could take up to 20 days for the refund to reflect. 5. It’s now 12/11/23 and I still don't have my refund and since the minimum time limit for card disputes is 60 days this company has taken advantage of me. They strung me along enough to make it past the dispute deadline. 6. I’ve tried reaching out to them via phone, email and online chat - I get ignored and told to keep waiting.

I would never buy from this company ever again. The chair we ordered came in damaged. Scratches all over the legs and arms. The rollers were scuffed up and dirty, the material on the chair was filthy. I reached out to them explaining the issues with the chair & sent them pictures of the damaged chair asking for a full refund which was 30 day guaranteed for a full refund. They offered me a $60 refund for the damaged chair that I paid $399, not acceptable! This is for sure false advertisement. The picture on the internet looked nothing like what we received. Then they proceeded to ask me if I could prove where it said the chair was brand new. I sent them the quote that Jacob sent me which said nothing about a refurbished chair. We emailed back & forth for an entire month before they agreed to charge us a 20% restocking fee and refunded $320 once they receive the chair back at their warehouse (I have this in writing). I sent the chair back using UPS and tracked the package to make sure they received it back with proof of delivery. I then contacted them and they assured me that I would see the money within 2 weeks. I still do not have any money a month after they received the chair back. They eventually quit responding to my emails and calls. The last email was sent on April 10th, 4 months after the purchase with no results. I never received a refund for the damaged chair. In the end, this order was advertised as 30-day money back guaranteed, and it said nothing about refurbished chairs on the quote. I did everything they requested and still no results. This is not the kind of business anyone should have to deal with.
