This is definitely a scam operation. They hook you with a legitimate product but ship you a cheap substitute! Do not fall for this bait and switch outfit.

Owthin is a fraudulent internet company. Stay away! The Telephoto Zoom Monocular Telescope was nothing like that depicted and described. This was more like a cheap child's toy that could be purchased at any Dollar Store. I have requested a full refund from Owthin. Owthin's website guarantees a full refund within 30 days without reason. Not going to happen! First they offer you 15%, then 25%, and up to 50% for me. The only way to get a full refund is to return the item. Good luck with that! UPS, FedEx, DHL all charge between $140-$150 to send parcels to China. Since I used PayPal for the transaction, and after countless emails and attempts to resolve, I have the following advice:
File a dispute/claim with PayPal using their resolution center. You can then try to resolve things with Owthin (not likely) or . . .
Go to IC3.gov and report with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
Next, you'll need to upload a pdf copy of this report to PayPal. (I wasn't able to print my report from the FBI's site, so had to take screen shots). You'll need to wait on hold to speak with a person in PayPal's resolution center so they can provide a link in your case to upload a copy of the IC3 report.
Can't guarantee you'll ever get your money back but my hope is that PayPal will cancel Owthin's account. Of course, they'll probably just change their name and create a new PayPal account!

Are you kidding me??? This product is ridiculous!! In the video, they show a very large telescope that can see for 6 miles plus... when I received it in the mail, it's about 8 inches long!! You get that???? 8 inches!!!! I tried to look outside at my next door neighbor's tree...coudn't even see the branches on the tree!!! Do not purchase this, it's a scam!! 🤬

TOTAL SCAM. Their adds are everywhere over face book but the monocular delivered was nothing like that depicted and described in their adds or on their site. It was a cheap piece of rubbish.
DO NOT BUY from these ripoff merchants.

The seller pretends to be in California US, and it promises express shipment -worldwide.
Actually, the parcel comes from china and not earlier than 1 month and a half.
Moreover, the object received is totally different from what the website displays.

I fell for this scam too. They sent me a cheap spotting scope and then offered 20%, 30%, 50% and finally a 70% discount to keep their cheap imitation. They even told me they had refunded the full amount to my PayPal account - it never arrived in my account of course. I called their bluff and took it to PayPal who agreed with me and have already refunded my return postage and hopefully will refund the full amount when the item finally arrives back in China. Covid-19 meant delivery was very slow. Make sure you get a tracking number to prove the item is returned or they may claim they didn't receive the returned item. My advice is that you raise a dispute with PayPal and if enough of us do it we can hope that PayPal will black list them to save others from getting sucked in to this deliberate scam.

These people are the worst scammers and are fraudsters. Do not deal with them. We ordered a telescope and the one they sent us was a vastly inferior model to the one we paid $59 for. They have refused to send us the correct one and refused to give us a full refund. BE WARNED!! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Damn slant-eyed thieves! I ordered the telescope on August 1st and what I got two and a half months later was a binnicle...a piece of crap not even worth $5! It's time the BBB got after these chinks and shut them down before we start boycotting their restaurants...like Chow Time! P.S.: I can make tastier stuff at home for less!

I wish I had read these reviews before buying from these thieves. My experience is similar to all of the other reviews. They have stone walled communications about the piece of junk they actually sent me. I have complained to my bank and am awaiting their resolution on my card account.

SCAM, SCAM,SCAM..I put in a complaint with the BBB,this place needs to be shut down! Paid for a telescope and what was sent was definitely not what was offered. They basically said sucks to be you. U guys suck!!!

Scam. I will click on every ad these guys have...and not order anything!

If others do this at least we will screw up their marketing efforts and cost them a little money.

This company ships fake products. Do not buy anything from them. The nano telescope is a fake.

i am imploring everyone do not buy anything from this company. It's a total fraud and and everything advertised by this company is a scam .
They advertise one product to get you to purchase then ship you garbage that is never in anyway close to what is advertised. Then pretend to be will to help and then refuse to give you your money back. Everything on their site is a lie and a fraud. i Know because i was scammed by them. The company has no Ties to the US and is totally run from China.

Firstly they ignore to send your item.
Secondly, they are procrastinating any communication.
Lastly, you will receive other binocular which is a worthless piece.

This is a complete and total scam! Don't fall for it!!!
They give you some BS that they sent the wrong product but that is simply not true. They know exactly what they are sending and hope it's too much trouble on the consumer's part to try and get their money back. You do the math... 100 fools like us x $60 = $6,000 in their pocket. Do yourself a favor and don't buy and if you do, simply dispute it with your credit card company. Make sure to followup with your cc company every month to ensure they didn't try to run the charge through again.

TOTAL SCAM!!! I ordered, received the wrong item (paid through PayPal) and now the seller wants me to accept a $20 credit for their mistake. Or, send back and my expense, the wrong item shipped!

PayPal of no help. I've filed a BBB complaint against them. Yes, maybe nothing will happen, but if you don't stand up for your rights, you'll get trampled.

Its been over a month and have not receive my unit why?!!

This is a total scam. Its no telescope. Its a toy that can't be worth more than 1 quid to make! I tried to cancel after waiting for a month despite being advertised as express shipping! Frustratingly it was shipped two days AFTER asking for a cancellation and multiple e-mail asking for cancellation got reply that they were sorry for delay in shipping assuring me that they have shipped despite spelling in capital letters that i wanted a cancellation. All the Facebook feedback are part of this scam. Now will see how the returns and refund process happens. They can abswer PayPal. Will initiate a litigation as this is obviously a relentless scammer.

Waited for a month. Finally arrived, not at all as pictured. Very small, no strap was included; hard to focus; tried to view the space station as it moved across the sky....terrible. Could see much better with the naked eye. Very disgusted.
