Avoid this crowd with three or more names
I purchased 5L Leyland Truguard Pliolite Masonry Paint: - in Brilliant White from these people on the basis of their listing on eBay i.e., quickly water resistant, on delivery I found out it seals the brickwork so it cannot breathe, this paint locks in dampness, this VERY IMPORTANT issue was NOT and is NOT stated in his listing even now.
I requested to return it for that reason and this was accepted as his returns policy states:
‘Returns: 30 days refund, buyer pays return postage’
I printed the returns label via eBay at a cost of £3.50 only to find out in the enclosed email from him after I had paid for and taken possession of the paint:
Hi
Please note that any returns has to be in a sellable condition, this was delivered by the Carlisle Currock branch of Johnstones, you will be able to take it there and get a returns sheet as postage will probably cost the same as the paint as its classed as hazardous

I hope this helps

This paint is classed as hazardous because it is not water based and only one courier would deliver it, again, this is not specified in their listing. I spoke to the seller about this and he said ‘take it back to Johnstones Decorating centre in Carlisle’, they were fantastic I might add however, I had to get someone to drive me on a 30 mile round trip to deliver it, they refunded him then I got the refund from him, I then left the appropriate negative feedback because of his complete lack of concern over this matter and to inform others that this paint is classed hazardous and should they purchase it and wish to return it for whatever reason, they must look forward to a whole load of hassle and extra costs because HE FAILS to mention this very important FACT in his listings.
It now turns out that the seller is a middle man, what happened is, I placed an order with him thinking he was a dealer, due to the amount of paint he advertises, he get my order then finds a store near me, places an order with them under the name ‘Samedeal Ltd’,and gets them to deliver it to me.
My negative feedback on eBay was removed within an hour even though it was based on fact and was 100% truthful for the benefit of others, feedback on eBay is there help buyers make an informed decision before making a purchase, otherwise what is the point of truthful and honest feedback but it would seem these kind of people can have the truth removed without eBay contacting me, his 100% ‘NOT FACT BASED’ trading record is now back in tack as if he was perfect, eBay will not have anything to do with my request on this matter so I will be closing my account why, how, when we check feedback before we buy, do we know IF the 100% positive feedback score it fact or fake?
The feedback left by Catherine Fahy below or above sings the same tune as my experience with this outfit, best thing would be to shop elsewhere and avoid any potential of up-set.
