I have ordered via Pete multiple times…

I have ordered via Pete multiple times for various property projects and for our personal home. Pete has always managed to obtain the most competitive price and is very responsive and proactive with his communications and advice. Pete even went out of his way to help me order a replacement dishwasher for home, while I was in hospital after having a stroke. Would definitely recommend Heatingandkitchens, which is run by Pete.

Paint mixing midnight blue

Paint mixing midnight blue
I ordered online and was a bit worried seeing these reviews, but it all ended very well.
The email arrived with a "Phishing warning" but this was just false positive, so I reported to Google their mistake.
The paint is exactly the same colour that I ordered from elsewhere earlier, so I did not have to blend it in.
I will use them again as their prices are the best I have found.
Highly recommended

Avoid this crowd with three or more…

Avoid this crowd with three or more names
I purchased 5L Leyland Truguard Pliolite Masonry Paint: - in Brilliant White from these people on the basis of their listing on eBay i.e., quickly water resistant, on delivery I found out it seals the brickwork so it cannot breathe, this paint locks in dampness, this VERY IMPORTANT issue was NOT and is NOT stated in his listing even now.
I requested to return it for that reason and this was accepted as his returns policy states:
‘Returns: 30 days refund, buyer pays return postage’

I printed the returns label via eBay at a cost of £3.50 only to find out in the enclosed email from him after I had paid for and taken possession of the paint:

Hi

Please note that any returns has to be in a sellable condition, this was delivered by the Carlisle Currock branch of Johnstones, you will be able to take it there and get a returns sheet as postage will probably cost the same as the paint as its classed as hazardous

Quote the number Prosight 12760 on the Samedeal account

I hope this helps

Pete

This paint is classed as hazardous because it is not water based and only one courier would deliver it, again, this is not specified in their listing. I spoke to the seller about this and he said ‘take it back to Johnstones Decorating centre in Carlisle’, they were fantastic I might add however, I had to get someone to drive me on a 30 mile round trip to deliver it, they refunded him then I got the refund from him, I then left the appropriate negative feedback because of his complete lack of concern over this matter and to inform others that this paint is classed hazardous and should they purchase it and wish to return it for whatever reason, they must look forward to a whole load of hassle and extra costs because HE FAILS to mention this very important FACT in his listings.

It now turns out that the seller is a middle man, what happened is, I placed an order with him thinking he was a dealer, due to the amount of paint he advertises, he get my order then finds a store near me, places an order with them under the name ‘Samedeal Ltd’,and gets them to deliver it to me.

My negative feedback on eBay was removed within an hour even though it was based on fact and was 100% truthful for the benefit of others, feedback on eBay is there help buyers make an informed decision before making a purchase, otherwise what is the point of truthful and honest feedback but it would seem these kind of people can have the truth removed without eBay contacting me, his 100% ‘NOT FACT BASED’ trading record is now back in tack as if he was perfect, eBay will not have anything to do with my request on this matter so I will be closing my account why, how, when we check feedback before we buy, do we know IF the 100% positive feedback score it fact or fake?

The feedback left by Catherine Fahy below or above sings the same tune as my experience with this outfit, best thing would be to shop elsewhere and avoid any potential of up-set.

Names to look for or he operates under:
Heatingandkitchens
on ebay: heating_and_kitchens
Samedeal Ltd
The buying group

Confused? Catherine and I are!!

Ordered 6 units from ~Pete Smith after…

Ordered 6 units from ~Pete Smith after talking to him on the phone about Urban Oak units to go with two urban oak larder units I already have.
It was the first question I asked when I rang him; do you do urban oak, yes he said, it's a new product and colour.
He sent me a quote and I noted that the doors were the wrong size.
He redid the quote, no problems.
I asked for an extra urban oak larder shelving pack, no problem.
Redid the quote
Delivery arrived, all white units.
Got in touch with Pete Smith and he said oh dear........I will get onto "the company". (Thought he was the managing director).
It may cost £38.00 more, what do you want to do. Go for it Pete, I answered back.
The managing director then came back and said "not good news I'm afraid, wow, it is now £174" and whatever pence!
Long and short of it, Pete stated he sent me three quotes for white units, and he did. However, after a nine minute conversation I would imagine the man would remember, especially when the order was placed soon after.
So the long and short of it is this.
Pete would not admit any fault on his part although he knew I had specifically spoken to him about urban oak. He expected me to pay him to restock his own company. Pete is a middle man and you are paying him to direct you to a web site to put in your payment. There was no choice of colour, it was, put in your name and the amount and bang. Money gone.
Also, it is confusing who you are dealing with as he comes under Samedeal Ltd, but states he is managing director of The Buying Group, and I ordered from Heating and Kitchens.........Be careful with this person.
Denies all responsibility yet as a "goodwill gesture" wants to send me a white shelving pack and doesn't understand why I am not happy with white, because everyone else is! Because Peter, half of my kitchen is already urban oak. His reply to this, will be, he is right. But Pete, delivered the entirety of the order wrong and put the onus on us to redeliver, whilst having left us with no kitchen. Charlatan.
I also sent an email immediately to Heating and Kitchens and got no response at all. That's what you will be dealing with, the choice is yours.
