I used Caramel for the first time to purchase my 1966 Volvo from Bring a Trailer, and they made the whole process incredibly easy. Was I a babe in the woods? Absolutely. But Peter was there for me through every step (and every misstep), helping to correct things quickly and keeping me informed the entire way.
My new Volvo arrived safe, sound, and exactly as promised. Huge thanks to Peter and the Caramel team for making what could’ve been a stressful experience feel simple, transparent, and even fun. Highly recommend them for anyone tackling their first classic-car purchase.

Today, I spoke with Taylor and I found her extremely polite on the phone. She answered all my questions and I was not rushed off the phone. Sometimes you call other places and you feel like you are bothering them or being rushed off the phone.
Thank you Taylor for your excellent customer service.
I would say one more thing, Taylor should be in charge of training other new customer service staff.

General Sale Process and Associate Help
In general, the process of selling my vehicle was made easy and all the steps were clear, leading to minimal confusion between me and the buyer. Of course, purchasing a car online is still a very complicated process, and although in a perfect world, the design of Caramel would make it as easy as sending a few pictures and signing a few documents, it will never go that smoothly. The issues I did have were mostly between me and the buyer, and when I called someone on eBay/Caramel to help me figure it out, they were helpful and knew exactly what to do. A vehicle sale is never easy online, but I think Caramel helped alleviate some of that stress.
The problem with the wire
I thought the web site was sub par.

Caramel was excellent. I wanted to pick up my car before the long Labor day weekend 2025, and i was out of country. They were great (as was the car seller!). Caramel answered the phone or got back to me quickly, expedited all paperwork, did the money stuff on time and i was able to pick up the car. Fantastic. would use again in an instant!

A fantastic experience! The agent (T) knew everything the moment I talked to them, and they pulled up everything needed without issue! It was quite honestly like some sort of movie, because if I had a question, I got an answer ASAP! If I had an idea, they already knew it. If I was concerned, they already could see any possible concern and already had a work-around! Plus, during my conversation there were never any hesitations or waits about anything I asked! I honestly cannot believe that they were this good, and I was the one who was literally on the call lol.
I highly recommend them. I’ve honestly never had any customer service experience that was this pleasant and knowledgeable, and that’s saying something!
I wish everyone in customer service was this good, because if they were, no one anywhere would ever have any problems whatsoever lol.

I sold my car on eBay and both the buyer and I contacted Drive Caramel multiple times by phone. Every time we spoke with them, we received contradictory information.
The buyer even flew in from out of town to pick up the car and ended up wasting the entire weekend waiting for Drive Caramel to “do their work” so he could drive the car home. Despite many calls from both buyer and seller, no progress was ever made. After more than a week of back-and-forth, nothing was resolved.
To make matters worse, Drive Caramel insisted that I ship the car and title first, and they would pay me only after receiving them. This process felt risky and unprofessional.
The experience caused major frustration for both myself and the buyer, and I ultimately had to cancel the transaction. The buyer was extremely disappointed, and so was I. Based on this experience, I will never deal with this company again and strongly advise others to avoid them.

I encountered a problem but once I brought it to the attention of the Caramel customer service folks, they resolved it right away, keeping me informed at each step. Very helpful and responsive.

A Clear and Efficient Process. Caramel took the fear and confusion out of privately selling our car to a complete stranger. Support was always reachable and responsive, communication was great, and payment was fast. They could improve the clarity of the delivery process, which triggers one of the payments to the seller. But otherwise, wow, perfecto!
