I started feeding my dog Different Dog food about two weeks ago. Unfortunately, soon after switching, she developed an allergic reaction that she had never had before. She became very itchy and uncomfortable, and it was really worrying for me to see her like that.

I contacted Different Dog’s customer service, and I have to say the girls I spoke with were really kind and helpful. They listened carefully and did their best to assist me. They told me that someone from their vet and nutrition team would give me a call back, but mentioned that the vet only works part-time and that the call would happen on Thursday.

By Wednesday my dog’s condition had become worse. She was in pain and itching a lot, so I called again and asked if someone could please contact me sooner. I was told that I would still need to wait until Thursday for the vet to get in touch. Since I could not wait any longer, I decided to take my dog to my own vet. The vet confirmed that she was having an allergic reaction and prescribed some medication. Because of this, I had to spend around £118 on the consultation and the medicine, which was an expense I was not expecting.

On Thursday I received a call with no caller ID while I was at work. It was a one-time call, and they did not leave a voicemail or any number that I could use to call them back, so I was not able to reach them again.

I later sent an email to Different Dog explaining everything. I said that I would really appreciate some support with at least the cost of the medication, since the reaction clearly started after switching to their food. Unfortunately, they replied saying that there was nothing they could do to help in this situation.

I understand that companies have policies, but I feel very disappointed. My dog was perfectly fine before trying this food, and I believe that a company that provides fresh food for pets should have more accessible veterinary support, ideally a 24-hour contact in case of reactions like this. Even a small gesture of goodwill would have made a big difference.

The customer service team were friendly and professional, but overall I feel unheard and let down by the lack of real support in what has been a very stressful experience for both me and my dog.

We've always raw fed her but being a schnauzer it made her beard a bit smelly 🤢 Different Dog smells delicious and is a great consistency. I love the recyclable packaging. Milly is 11 but people often think she's a puppy because she's super healthy, all down to a good diet in my opinion. Healthy and easy, what's not to love!

Just had to write a review for this company. I've been with you for a few months after years of struggling with my dogs Gastro issues ( English setter) this food is absolutely amazing. His issues are all but gone currently, his poo is perfect and hes never seemed better. He adores the food, i love that the meat is all British ( very important!!) and that every tray is real ingredients. Im so glad i found this company ! To go from diets where he was so unwell being sick and pooping blood to have him so stable and happy is amazing so thank you !! Vets recommendation was always horrible medical kibble diets and I'm glad i went with my gut to continue with fresh feeding which i feel is best for all dogs.

Our very fussy Bichonpoo likes this food. She doesn’t always eat it straight away, but we’re really pleased that she is eating it. She looks really healthy (eyes and fur). There’s a good choice of flavours and she particularly loves the broth. I would definitely recommend this food for your dog, it may seem expensive but it’s definitely worth it.

Amazing customer service! Food is working perfectly for my 14 year old Shizthu girl - completely stopped her itching. We'd previously tried multiple hypoallergenic foods too, to no avail. We are absolutely delighted with Different Dog!

The dogs just love it, easy to use as you can choose pack sizes for your dogs size, would be great if it was a bit cheaper.

My dog been on this different dog diet now for 2 months now and my dog just loves the food she loves delivery days as gets her head in box licking her lips 😂 as also we get the fresh treats as well and you know they healthy & fresh because once open says eat in 3 weeks time which is so much healthier for dogs well the treats are gone in couple days lol as they so yummy but yeah delivery & different dog customer service is great would give more then 5 stars as not had no problems I'm just so glad my dog is on a healthy fresh diet now

I have 2 of my dogs that have Autoimmune Disease on this and it’s been fantastic for them. They absolutely love it and no more upset tummies.

My extra fussy Welsh Terrier wasn't eating well, so I decided to try Different Dog. I did a small first order of 3 different dishes, I tried the "Braised Beef" and at first she sniffed it and walked away, with gentle encouragement she actually tasted the food, and emptied her bowl, and after a few days we emptied the pack. She then refused to eat the next pack, "Fish Supper", nothing would make her eat it, so it was given to a local dog charity. The next pack was another Hearty Beef Dish with red Cabbage, again she refused to even smell it. This also went to the dog Charity.

After some guidance from Different Dog, I ordered more food, we have just finished another Braised Beef pack, which she has eaten heated up with a few dog biscuits, tomorrows and following days choice will be Pork Ragu. We are taking it slowly, as Halie is very very picky.

I have a 3 year old spaniel. She had emergency surgery at 6months old and was diagnosed with colitis. We since have had to be so careful with her diet. She is unable to digest chicken beef pork or lamb, if she has any of those meats she passes blood and vomits for several days. We have now discovered Different Dog, she can tolerate the fish meal and had a small portion with her kibble every day. She loves the food and doesn’t cause any upset tummy or diarrhoea. She eats every bit of her food now and is a happy healthy dog. I’m so grateful to finally find a nutritious meal she loves.

Different Dog have basically become our dog’s favorite chef. Lottie loves this food mixed with her kibble and broth, empty plate. If you hate the smell of old style dog food give this a try it is awesome.

I'd happily put this food in a pie and eat it myself. Looks delicious, and there's never any left. Keep up the good work, because it shows.

Great food, smells good, and best of all our super fussy 13 month old Maltipoo is eating it. It has improved his digestion, no more upset tummy and he's putting on a little weight. Really like the sustainable packaging.
Customer check in when we started transitioning was appreciated. Its been almost a month and we are very pleased we made the swap to Different Dog. Also love the quality of the treats.

I’ve been feeding my dog Different Dog for a few months now as part of a partial diet, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the moment you open the package, you can tell it’s real, freshly cooked food — it looks and smells like something I’d make at home!

Even though I mix it with my dog’s regular food, he always picks out the Different Dog portions first and licks the bowl clean. The quality of the ingredients is outstanding, and it’s great to know everything is carefully balanced by their nutrition team.

Since adding it to his meals, I’ve noticed a real improvement in his coat, digestion, and energy levels. Even my vet commented on how healthy he looks!

This is an excellent company. Their website is easy to navigate but they also field phone calls very quickly. They are responsive if you need to postpone deliveries or take a break. Willow absolutely loves the food. She has been on it for seven months now and never has any digestive issues whatsoever which is very good for a minpin. Delighted thank you.
