I enjoyed the experience of working on Collabstr.

The communication was great and simple. The guidelines and instructions were clear and everything was easy to use!

My experience was nothing short of amazing everything from describing the collaboration, when it needed to be done things that should be included in the script. I really love Collabstr. It makes collaborating with brands so much easier.

Jason replied promptly to any questions, the brief was clear also and straightforward.

I was discovered quickly, as I was new to the platform as a UGC creator. The app is simple and easy to use.

Very clear instructions, quick replies from the brand, emails from Collabstr reminding me what should I do and what to click on, I felt very good doing the collab, the brand was really nice and helped with everything<3 I also love the way it pays out, I can see how much I earned and when it will get to me, it's very helpful!

I spent over $7,000 on Collabstr. Sadly and shockingly, when I needed them to intervene after an influencer never delivered — despite being fully paid — their response was dismissive of responsibility.

For months, Collabstr staff told me they were “messaging the influencer” and following up, which gave me the impression this issue would be resolved through their platform. But eventually, I was told directly by their cofounder: “Collabstr will not be involved in this process.”

In another email, Rebecca from their team told me my order “does not qualify for refund” even though no deliverables were received!

From my perspective, this is completely against Collabstr’s own promises, where they advertise: “We hold the funds until the creator delivers the content” and “You only pay for what you get.”

Because of their delays and refusal to act, it became impossible for me to raise this with my bank, leaving me out of pocket. As a bootstrapped startup founder, I feel betrayed and unprotected. Collabstr markets itself as a platform that safeguards brands, but in my experience, they abandoned me when I needed them most.

In my view, even their founders don’t stand by their words. Shocking and disappointing.

The refund I received was arranged by Grail Talent, the new management team of the influencer, not Collabstr. Collabstr was not the party who facilitated the return of funds. I am honestly shocked they falsely claim they facilitated the refund!

Their reply here calls the amount, that they still didn’t refund until today “a small transaction fee,” but in fact the platform fee was $500 USD for this particular order— which is not a small amount by any means. The order wasn’t delivered as confirmed by their emails. It’s a ridiculous amount when I got nothing but exhaustion throughout this process.

Collabstr could have been more strict with the influencer and disputed the funds. Instead, they dragged the process for over 8 months. For me, this doesn’t seem sorry or responsible. What kind of company charges $500 for an undelivered order? I have never in my life came across this experience before.
