Beware Selfridges scam

Beware Selfridges scam! After 4 days of being told they have cancelled my order and my money would be returned their advise is to tell my bank to get the money back!! Today they now admit that the cancellation failed and still tell me to pass details on to my bank. The bank have been very clear and state no cancellations have been made. For a landmark store I am disgusted they clearly know they are taking customers money and knowing they don't have stock not cancelling and reversing payments imminently. I would not purchase online even if they say in-stock as their system is done manually and they don't care if people get their money back. I wish I had read the reviews I have found since as I would never of risked buying from them. It's for sure a scam to hold onto funds for as long as possible!!

Selfridges taking customers money online for items they don't have ! Beware items show in stock but are not !

Has a terrible experience. Brought an expensive item for a birthday gift which showed they had in stock! They took payment and then sent an email telling me they had cancelled my order. When I checked my banking they didn't reverse the payment infact they still have my money. When I contacted them they just said to speak to my bank! It looks like I have to wait for a refund of around a week when they shouldn't of took payment in the first place. I think it's disgusting taking people's money and not giving back when they cancel an order. I wil never ever use again . Please be careful buying expensive items with them as they may not even have the item and then like myself have to wait for funds to be refunded!

Selfridges taking money for items not in stock !

Selfridges replied on trustpilot asking for details when they have had all details via email ! After 4 phone calls and three emails they don't care and will not do anything to help. I'm shocked and find it hard to believe that they can take money for orders they can't complete and not give customers money back immediately.
