Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service.
No longer using the PC I had installed the software. Then receive an email mentioning auto renewal about to take place. But the price has QUADRUPLED which is a huge shock.
Attempt to contact them through the support site and get into a circle of ignored requests/ acknowledgment emails none of which can be replied to.
Every single email attempting to contact the company is from non-monitored email addresses each reply just states we received an email but your email will not be looked at as not monitored etc.
attempting to stop the renewal amount which is taken on my credit card and could not be prevented.
Very very very suspicious.
This was a half decent bit of software in the past. But now the lack of support and literal THEFT from your bank or credit card is shocking.
The company cannot be trusted.
The renewal process is a scam if you do not have access to the programme on your pc any longer I’m not sure of how to ‘cancel’ the subscription other than clicking the links in their emails and filling the forms that are all ignored.
Monies taken and dispute raised with credit card company to get the money refunded.
A once trusted company now utterly corrupt and utterly lack any form of customer service.
When you cannot email or phone a company to raise a query or dispute you know you are dealing with people that want to hide behind a smoke screen
BEWARE PURCHASING IF YOU DONT WANT INCREASED PAYMENTS TAKEN WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO STOP OR CANCEL AND REFUND.

Review of Valspar Paint

Unfortunately extremely hit and miss

Unfortunately extremely hit and miss.
We moved into our house a few years ago. Decorated the essential rooms but left others until late summer / autumn this year (2024).
Used various companies paints up until now, other big names brands also diy stores own brands etc.
however first time with the valspar.
I’ve decorated quite a bit previously, very used to preparation, sugar soap washing the walls. Ensuring completely grease free, dust free and importantly making sure all completely dry.
We bought 5 litres to do 2 coats in a small room and genuinely pleased with the results. A sage green type colour (wild hillside) Matt Premium, (base B pot).
Fully prepared the walls and paint went on well and 2nd coat also went well.
That was brilliant - 2 coats, lovely result and pleased with Valspar… or so we thought.
Following the success we prepared another room. This time a brownish griege type colour. (Dried Peat). Prepped the room fully for about 1 week. Made sure all walls sugar soap washed and fully dried (as always) no greasy or contaminated areas. Lovely prepped walls (just as always).
However using a roller (as always) never pressing hard, filling the roller with good level of paint rolling up and down coating the wall as always gently rolling until the ‘sound’ shows the paint on the wall/ not on the roller. Small sections at a time.
Not spreading too thick. Or too thin.
Experienced painter in this respect.
However, in this particular room the paint kept blistering. Bubbles as if trapped water.
In 25 years only ever had this once when painting a bathroom.
But here we are talking about a standard living room. No issue with damp etc.
but closer inspection the paint in the tray (brand new tray and rollers) actually looks to contain bubbles.
Air in the paint?
Water perhaps?
Well after the first coat a light sanding down and 2nd coat.
More blistering and a further sand and a 3rd coat.
Accept the paint may have been a bit faulty. Perhaps the base tin stored in a cold area, a bad base mixture??
Well despite the bad experience, we went back and bought a 3rd colour for a bedroom.
Room emptied. Walls in excellent condition carefully with cleaning the walls to make sure absolutely no moisture left behind.
Room prepped, heating on low continuously to ensure decent conditions.
Adequate ventilation. Etc.
but alas the paint blistering issue. Sanded back and decided not to bother using this paint any more.
Something wrong with the paint!!!
Not worth reporting. A waste of money but cannot be bothered with the worthless ‘valspa guarantee’ which appears to only address colour issues.
Purchased a ‘cheap DIY shop’ own brand and painted a similar colour… paint went on perfectly. Absolutely lovely finish.
An absolute shame. One good room and two disasters.
