Appalling experience

Spent nearly £300 over two orders via their website. This was my first time ordering with Build-a-Bear. When they arrived it was to find the bears just stuffed into two boxes with the various outfits stuffed in the boxes, here, there and everywhere. It was a mess. This isn't what I expected from such a store. All that money and it looked like a box of rubbish someone was going to take the tip! Then I had a problem with bonus points...they never updated. I contacted customer services who told me I had 263 points which would be converted into vouchers. Yet when I looked on my account, only 246 points had been added to my account, which meant I had lost out on a £5 voucher. I contacted customer services again to query this and to complain about the state my order arrived in... Well, what a farce this was!!!! You totally waste your breath with these people! They either don't even bother reading all the email or - as I suspect - just ignore practically everything and give you an answer that doesn't resolve the issue. Several emails were exchanged in a row and each time this person - I don't know if it was male or female as it was a foreign name - failed to address the issues. I even included the email from their colleague that stated I had 263 points NOT 246, yet they totally ignored this and each time just replied with nonsense...and then just stopped replying altogether. So I am out of pocket a £5 voucher and they are refusing to accept this or discuss it. Appalling customer service from start to finish.

A very positive experience from start to finish. Great choice of cards and stationery on the website and some excellent prices. Delivery was quick and the items were beautifully wrapped and packaged.

Terrible customer service

Ordering was all fine...unfortunately that was the only thing that did go right!
I received my package of cakes...yay...which was to be a gift... Nay...most of the cakes were damaged, and this could be seen without even opening the plastic case the cakes were in :( I sent photos and was told she couldn't see a problem, send them pics of the opened box... I sent numerous pics...that clearly showed the damage - crumbled cake bases, lop sided cakes, squashed cakes, and lids stuck to the top of the box cakes... The lady still didn't see what the issue was and only offered me a £5 voucher to use on another order... Hmmm, I don't think so, as considering the quality of customer service I had been on the receiving end of, I had no desire to buy anything else of them ever again.
I went through Paypal...Little Cakes waited well over a week before responding and then demanded the return of the cakes before they would issue a refund... Return perishable goods that were almost 2wks old?! They had gone in the bin, we don't keep mouldy food in the house. Thankfully, Paypal compensated me.

We do take all quality complaints seriously, however in the absence of an apparent defect with the products either visually or other, we are unable to either resend or refund the products. As the majority of the processes at our bakery are carried out by hand, there are natural discrepancies between each product, with no two cakes looking identical. We pride ourselves in the high quality of our products, which is reflected in our reviews. I'm pleased that Paypal were able to refund your order at no expense to our business, providing you with the solution that you wanted.

Absolutely marvellous experience

Absolutely marvellous experience. Unfortunately for some reason DPD didn't deliver on the day but PV were amazing. They had another Afternoon Tea box sent out straight away to get here today...and it did.
The support from PV was five star and my beloved's surprise gift was extremely well received.
The presentation of the contents is fab and there is a lovely choice of delicious looking desserts, a variety of scones, cream cheese and little pots of jam.

Disappointed

Arrived on time. Disappointed in packaging of the actual cupcakes, they need to be securely in place and they weren't. Felt they looked a bit tacky, to be honest. Red Valentine rose cupcakes - didn't really resemble a rose and combined with the brightness of the red icing, they just looked cheap.

Disappointing

I bought several different items - food and non food - for delivery. Some items are quite reasonably priced, others rather expensive. Easy to order. Delivery was quite fast. The disappointing experience was regarding several slices of cakes I ordered. For some reason there had been an issue at HQ so some couldn't be sent out with my delivery and would be a couple of days late. This wasn't an issue for me. What was and still is, is that upon arrival of this second package...there was only one slice in (a huge box too!). I contacted the Black Farmer asking for a refund of what wasn't received...and I haven't heard a peep back or received a refund, and that was 10 days ago. So they have let themselves down with extremely poor customer service here.

Wow!

I came across this company by chance in a Google search and WOW, I am so glad I did. I was looking for a new bathroom accessory set and to be able to have one personalised with photos was perfect! It was easy to upload the pics and checkout and delivery...blimey, delivery was incredible, it came the very next day!!!!!

We are extremely pleased with our products, the quality is great and the price was very reasonable. Thank you!

The BEST plan available

I have been using Result Plan for a month or so now and love it. The meals are fresh and so tasty. The meals are so normal too!!! The classic English breakfast is amazing to have as a choice (costs a little extra but so worth it). The rigatoni meatballs are divine, as is the lasagne and cottage pie. I am a fussy eater but these meals are the best I have come across.
Customer service is top notch - Tab is lovely - and they always respond to any queries very, very quickly.
I'm so pleased to have found them!!

Awful

I pre ordered a cheese box for a Christmas present - £35 - but it never arrived. I emailed them several times leading up to Christmas and kept getting fobbed off with the it's on its way, it will be there in time for Christmas... Well it wasn't and still hasn't arrived. I was then told if it didn't come on Sat 23rd Dec to let them know and they would refund me. I emailed them only to get an an auto response telling me they were now closed until the New Year!! Since then they have fobbed me off times over regarding my refund, which I still have not received. It is now with Paypal to resolve. Terrible company and abysmal customer service.

Fat and gristle

Purchased a mini Christmas ham as a treat. The website pic showed it looking great quality meat. Unfortunately what they advertise and what you actually receive couldn't be any different. What we received is a package of fat and gristle which wasn't fit for human consumption...didn't even give any to the dog, it was so, so bad.
Utterly appalling quality. False advertising. For such a supposedly reputable company it is unacceptable. We paid £35 for this including delivery, a disgrace.

Let down by Chunk

Despite a positive start - I pre ordered around 11 pies/pasties (around £50) in Nov for delivery in Dec.
On Wed 13th I emailed and requested if it was possible to receive the order a few days earlier due to unforeseen circumstances. Louise told me it wasn't a problem, I would receive them on Fri 15th - she would prioritise the order then and there.
The order never arrived on Fri 15th and late afternoon I received an email informing me they hadn't even been dispatched and it would now be Mon 18th when they would be. It took them TWO days to tell me that because one pie was unavailable they would not be dispatching them...and even on the Mon the pie was still going to be unavailable...
I requested a refund (Fri 15th) instead as they would arrive too late. Chunk never responded...and still haven't...and instead of refunding me they dispatched them on Mon 18th! One box arrived on the Tues afternoon and one box is missing.
They may have won awards for their pies but their customer service needs a lot of work.

I ordered some items online and through…

I ordered some items online and through Paypal. The transaction went well until it returned to F&M and I received no order confirmation. I contacted F&M, gave them the transaction number listed on my Paypal receipt and was told there was no record of this order. Thankfully, I didn't lose any money as Paypal wouldn't have released payment until F&M confirmed dispatch, however, it was stressful and shouldn't have happened...and from reading other reviews, it's clear my experience isn't a rare occurence!

Not fit for purpose

Snowflake Colour Diffusing Paper Shapes - an absolute waste of money. Paper is so thin it just disintegrates when sprayed with the water. The whole process doesn't do what it is supposed to do. I bought the whole kit - snowflakes, paint and spray bottles and wasted £23. The reindeer tealight decoration kit isn't fit for purpose - pieces were missing and the way the antlers fit was pathetic and there was never any chance of them staying on. Another £7 wasted. Unfortunately, this is becoming a regular occurrence with Baker Ross so I think in future I'll be looking elsewhere.
