Fair, understanding & reliable. We have done Sequencing.com tests on 2…

We have done Sequencing.com tests on 2 of our family members so far. And have had great experiences with them. We had a snafu or 2 with billing and updates but Sequencing.com's customer support was amazing. I recommend signing up for the 1yr update plan.
There will always be times when an email is lost or overlooked in life but they've been really good about being fair and willing to work to resolve issues. I don't want anything for free but fairness and understanding goes a long way.
Unfortunately, I bought 2 DNA kits from another company and have yet to hear anything back from them after 14 mo & paying $5**, so we have had other bad experiences with other companies to be able to compare. I recommend Sequencing.com

I ordered 2 kits Dec 2023

I ordered 2 kits Dec 2023. After back and forth, Dante acknowledged they would process the 2 kits enumerated on Feb 21, 2024. I have emailed numerous times since (10ish) and have received absolutely no response. Needed guidance for undiagnosed medical issues. Have since ordered from Sequencing.com twice for other family members and have received those results in a timely fashion. So angry.
In USA you can also report at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
It won't help us recover $ but possibly stop them from stealing $ and frankly, our genomic info. I didn't consider this a fraud until after 6 months of waiting for genetic reports hadn't shown up.

Worth it but science doesn't know everything yet

It was easy to use. As a user, if you dig you know the results can take up to 16 weeks so setting expectations was good. But I was more concerned with the obscure issues so its possible that I should've bought the rare disease report but the sequencing.com website doesn't really delineate that they only generate report/s based on risks that come back as 'high confidence' results and that some issues may not come back that way(i.e. Possible risk, possible detection, possible carrier Or possible detection, unknown etc) and I think the general public doesn't know that. However, I guess I understand it bc those diseases/issues/mutations haven't been studied enough or there's not a lot yet known about the disease or this particular mutation or spot on the chromosome etc. I had a lot of mutations under Unknown and a heading of Not yet Named or Inborn genetic disease, so that's disappointing and yet...understandable if the scientific community really doesn't know what those diseases entail. So basically it confirmed my entire familial history that I already knew and then confirmed there's other things that are possibly wrong... which is something I already knew but can't get medical help with. But it the end I think it was worth the money. Lastly, I'd never be able to afford the expedited costs which unfortunately lead to me having to cancel a medical genomic appointment.
