SCAM SCAM SCAM

Only reason why I give this 5 star is so that it’s on top for everyone to see!
Please stay away from this company this is the third time they have deleted and started their account as well as changed their name to run from all the bad reviews they have had and all complaints made against them. First they were YUMM model management then it was Eclipse now it’s Universal Models. They are located at the same place and have had complaints for so long they piled up. DO NOT register with this so called model agency. You will be sold a dream and YOU WILL BE SCAMMED. These people know what they’re doing and will ask for a security deposit claiming their ‘government regulated’ which no modelling agency does not a penny should be taken from your pocket in the name of modelling and(and don't even bother saying it’s for the pictures what whatnot)

Wasted good amount of money on lessons…

Wasted good amount of money on lessons with Simone. We did nothing but drive around for 2 hours almost every lesson and did one or two parking manoeuvres. He started asking me personal questions about my life almost every lesson and I felt like my personal life choices were being criticised. Additionally when driving he would ask me to stop for a few minutes while he got out of the car to do whatever then come back and ask me to drive on with no explanation. If anything I believe I wasted money and wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.Honestly disappointed and regret all the money spent. I have now changed my driving instructor and am getting much better service for what I’m paying. Is there an email I can contact about this?

Run away...Fast!

Do not join this scam agency.
Those people have a chip on their shoulder and it's evident from all their responses as they try to defend their name.
They request a refundable deposit which doesn't get refunded (they will say they have evidence of this on their website... anyone can create a few screenshot images of transactions to post on a website. I could do that with my grocery transactions...be smart.)
These people will influence you, take a few airbrushes photos of you and ask you to pay large sums of money because that's the best way you'll progress as a model with them even though work is not assured. Please don't bother responding to this because I see you.
You tell models you'll take videos of them and instead just take them around the block of your building on a nice sunny day to shove a camera in their face and tell them to pose like puppets while you use snapchat filters on their faces in your instagram posts. Like I said, don't even respond to this because I know you guys and see you all the time.
Your instagram page is worse than a child's and your website is just full of images off the net
You have no shame, no decency and no transparency between you and your clients and I honestly, it's nothing short of embarrassing and I feel sorry for all the people who have faced issues with this 'business' and not to even talk of their claim of being 'government regulated' never have I seen a modelling agency harping on about how regulated they are if not to draw attention away from themselves.

AMAZING AMAING AMAZING

First of all, shout out to my tutors because heaven knows I'd be a mess without them. Melissa, our in house Maths tutor (who's always on top of her game every single time, has amazing response time and is only an email away if I'm struggling with a math problem), Kirsten (who has pulled me through some of the crazy maths questions I struggle with and has been so patient with me), Ingrid (my amazing English tutor and Ross our in-house English tutor who's always on top of his game as well.
I've been studying with ICS Learn for over a year now and even though I haven't physically met these people I have no complaints at all! I am satisfied, I am being helped and I am progressing through my A level courses. I do not regret studying with them at all. If you're looking for a DLS to study with please choose ICS Learn or else you'll be disappointed with the others. I payed for my courses in instalments over 12 months with no added interest so that was a bonus too.
We have live lessons (where you see the teachers), interact with others, a rich home page where you can find your course material, helpful resources, past questions, tutor support, announcement sections, recordings of sessions you missed, etc.
I have no bad comments and appreciate all the help I've been given so far.

I am very dissapointed...

The only reason why this has been given 5 star is so you can run away.
I have been studying A level geography with OSC for over a year (I should say studying by myself) and so far, I have received an abysmal level of support. My tutor can only answer questions related to anything I misunderstand during my own learning and, cannot assist me with my coursework which is a huge part of it and throughout the whole course there's only 4 Tutor Marked Assessments.
My course page is as empty as anything with No student community, no announcement section, no resource section, no live classes or recorded ones, no relevant videos or case studies (considering this is geography), nothing relevant, and the course material is literally BARE BONES of the geography subject for an A level student put on a few sketchy slides for me to tap through therefore I have had to invest in multiple textbooks and resources to help me with this. Whoever sets this website up needs a career change because they're really not doing much.
I have had no support with my NEA because according to their teachers, this is not possible.Not possible for my tutor to read through what I've done so far and let me know if I'm on the right path? What's the point then?
I have asked for predicted grades and even that hasn't been sent through.
If I could redo this I wouldn't do it with OSC there are so many other DLS out there like ICS Learn where you can pay in instalments with no interest, have a personal tutor and in house tutors for each subject, have live webinars, constant communication between tutor and student and they do far better in everything else with rich course material.
So if you're thinking of studying with OSC, rest assured- you'll be disappointed. Spend your money elsewhere

I can confirm that your course includes 8 tutor-marked assignments. While you may feel that 8 assignments isn’t a large number, this does not affect the integrity of the A-level course. The course has been carefully designed and structured to ensure it provides the most effective learning experience for our students.

We do not offer a student community, live classes, or recorded sessions as part of our course offerings, so I'm unsure why you were expecting these. This information would have been clarified with you at the time of your enrolment in September 2023 as well as any time you queried this since. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.

The course materials are written by subject specialsts and follow the relevant sepecification. All the information you need for your studies are within the materials and this has proven successful over the years with learners achieving the grades they studied hard for.

We’ve mentioned previously that your tutor is unable to provide feedback on the fieldwork report, as this is something that is marked by the exam centre rather than by your tutor. Even if your exams and fieldwork are included in your package, the tutor is not able to offer provisional marks. If you have any concerns or would like more information, we encourage you to reach out to your chosen exam centre directly.

I see that you’ve completed 3 out of the 8 tutor-marked assignments, and we highly encourage you to continue progressing with the remaining tasks to get the most out of your course.

RUN RUN RUN!!!

Run away as fast as you can!
This company is a huge scam and the only reason why I rated it 5 star is so that people can see this straight away!
I feel victim to their tricks and marketing schemes because of my desire to become a model but I would never do it again. After lost of fuss and communication with my bank, I got it back. If you’ve been though this please don’t give up on your money at any cost!
They have deleted all their google reviews considering how bad they are and are continuing their ‘business’.
They rush you through the process of interview and acceptance and lay sheets of different packages before you; indirectly encouraging you to take the biggest package then blackmailing you to say if you leave at that stage or you don’t have the money, you’ll be blacklisted off all modelling companies because you wasted their time which is a LIE! Just a blackmail like I said
I know they will come at this review with all they’ve got but they always do the same thing with their ‘government regulated’ rubbish.
You don’t see Elite, Storm, IGM, etc modelling agency going on about how ‘government regulated’ they are and asking for refundable deposit fees.
As far as I’m concerned no government agency regulates the refundable deposit fee of modelling agencies! Don’t be tricked into believing this. On the government website you CANNOT charge a model upfront as assurance or whatever they want to call it.
If this refundable deposit fee is really causing an issue, why don’t they take it away? (Probably because they’ll say they need a form of assurance, blah blah blah) but no, instead of removing it, they are making a killing out of your money!
This business is a scam if you know the value of your money and don’t want to be guilt tripped please run away!

We have requested more information about your affiliation with our agency, but it appears to have been ignored. Using the information that we have gathered, we are going to address your points.

Our records state that you have only contributed £100 to your refundable deposit, and never completed payment. Therefore, you have not utilized our services. So it is perplexing how one can make the assertion that we are a scam based on such little experience with our agency. When an individual states that we are a scam, the implication is that our practices are illegal. This accusation is baseless, hence why we see the need to iterate that all our practices are within the law. We have a deposit in place because we offer services that you will find other agencies you have mentioned do not provide: catwalk training, retouched images, video reels, etc.

The deposit paid by a model is fully refundable at the end of their contract duration, provided they have not breached the contract terms and conditions. Our revenue model is based on a 20% commission from the paid work we secure for our models. If you would like to see some of the work we have found our models i.e the behind the scenes of productions, please see our Instagram page: @eclipsemodelmgt.

We blacklist models from working with us in future if we determine they have conducted themselves in an unprofessional manner towards us or on our behalf, or if they fail to heed our explanations of how we operate prior to their interview; which wastes our time.

Every company receives negative reviews, and changing operations based on a small portion of negative reviews is not an effective way to operate a business, especially considering the many models we have successfully served.

It is unfortunate that you feel you have been scammed despite not using our services and that you felt rushed during your interview.

AMAZING! NO COMPLAINS

Quick to use! Easy to access and live spending notifications.
Been a starling customer since last year and from then till now, I have no complains whatsoever! Amazing. Whenever I spend, a notification pops up 2 seconds later. I’ve been able to track my spendings and they have live chats with ACTUAL HUMANS not bots to help with any issues. Really efficient and makes my finances really easy to manage! Saving spaces have been really helpful as well!

Could be better! Topics not in depth

Joined open study college a few weeks ago on their geography a level course and so far, it’s been OK. Great representation of geographical features but I feel like they could be a bit more into depth. I feel like I’m learning a summary of the topics.
Also, their student portal in my opinion, is very dry. Apart from my course, there’s nothing else I can see like resources or past papers or study tips or assessments or recorded sessions or anything like that.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that anytime I pause my learning, I need to start all over again and in this case skip previous topics I’ve been through already which is really annoying because it takes forever to load as well as the weird clicking noise each time I press ‘next’ I need to endure as if I’m playing a game. It would be helpful if there was a continue button instead. Also, a table of content for each topic would be nice so I can organise my learning.

GREAT LEARNING SERVICE!

I just joined ICS Learn and I was waiting a few days to give my honest review and I must say I’m really impressed and feel confident learning with ICS Learn.
Believe the reviews. I am learning an English & Math A level course with them and their courses are very into depth with good organisation so you don’t get confused as to where you last ended and what’s up next. There are video webinars at the beginning of the maths topics which I find very helpful each time I begin a new section as well as progress checks which explain why and how a question was answered and if I don’t understand anything that went on, or a question, all I need to do is take a screenshot and send my tutor a message for help. They normally respond before 48hrs.
So far, so good, I have nothing bad to say.
Great website! Great organisation! Into depth lessons! Tutor support! and great student service. I literally call for any issue and there’s always someone to help.
