Prepare to wait 1 hour at Car Rental Pick-up for car key.
Connection to Shuttle at Terminal 2, Munich Airport was co-ordinated well over the phone, and departure was prompt. The Car Rental premises is a Portacabin at least a 10min drive away. We arrived at 14h35, and I was 3rd person in queue, and there were 2X Staff people serving. Staff-person '1' departed 14h40 for a service break as she completed serving her client; she returned at 14h52 first attending her own admin. and then serving 1X further client. Staff-person '2' departed for a service break on completing service with a client. Staff-person '3' who had arrived at the portacabin approx. 15h00 began serving his 1st client at 15h10. At 15h25 Staff-person '2' returned from her break and started to serve me, BUT the queue was building behind me, the crowd began to get restless, and one woman shouted out that we should be given some 'communication' and 'explanation' as nothing had been said to explain the slow/delayed service. It was now reported to the line of waiting customers that the 'software service was down' (SOFTRA). Staff-person '3' then asked Staff-person '2', who was serving me, to get on the telephone and seek a software resolution. Eventually, at 15h35, when I had been awaiting completion of my Rental Pick-up (now one hour), Staff-person '3' took over my admin. and issued me with the key to a Rental Car. I was able to leave the Rental Car Depot at 16h00.
Drop-off was much more straight-forward, dropping the Rental Car key into the open plastic box on the Service Counter, a short wait for the Shuttle Bus, and transfer back to Terminal 2, Munich Airport.
