Expert Guidance Walking the Path of Currency Conversion

It was a new experience for me to need to transfer US dollars to Euros in conjunction with a property purchase in France. I was navigating a real estate process that was unfamiliar to me right down to the use of foreign funds. James Baxter and David Bayliss made everything as easy as it could be. They were always readily available to answer my questions and guide me in the next steps. They were patient, friendly and knowledgeable. I felt well cared for and confident in the process thanks to them. I highly recommend both them and Optimal Currency.

Dishonest and Incompetent

Next Direct entered wrong address on my package so that it couldn’t be delivered and in the course of multiple emails trying to figure out why it couldn’t reach me, they denied their mistake and then LIED to me outright by claiming I had given them the wrong address and then contacted them to fix it, which they tried to do, but couldn’t. In fact, none of those last things happened. They made it all up after first denying the address was wrong until I submitted photographic proof to them. That’s when they changed their story from “it didn’t happen” to “it did happen, but it was your fault”. The incompetence is disappointing but the dishonesty is mind-blowing.

SCAM to take and keep your money

After reading an online reference to the ianygo product, I followed instructions. When I tried to download after purchase, I only received error message. I reached out to company within moments. Their response advised that I purchased the "ianygo Windows desktop version" [for my Mac] and "the usage permissions of the App version and the desktop version are not universal. If you want to use the app version, you need to purchase it separately."

I advised the rep to cancel my subscription, which they did. Since I hadn't received my refund as of a few days later, I sent an email inquire about status. The response was "we must locate the reason so that we can know whether it is a problem with our software. If it is not our software problem, it may be difficult to refund you."

I replied pointing out that I had already fully explained the situation in my first email--moments after initial purchase--and I expected to be refunded in full.

It is TEN DAYS LATER and I am still fighting with them. Each time they respond, they do everything but confirm that a refund is being processed. It's like arguing with a wall.

If you engage with this company and have any issues, do not expect genuine assistance. It's obvious that their only goal is to keep your money.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND ANY OF ITS PRODUCTS!!

Update: I posted this review on January 17, 2025. Isn’t it interesting how two 5-star reviews about the same company were suddenly posted on the same day by two individuals without any other reviews? Hmmm. Take that with a grain of salt. No doubt written by their own employees.

Update #2: In response to the company’s reply, my trouble with using the product is I cannot access it. I’m having trouble receiving my refund. I’ve already interacted with their “customer service” department. That’s where my problem exists. They aren’t paying attention. They continue to go around and around with me as opposed to refunding my money for a product I can’t use. I don’t want any sort or replacement because I want nothing to do with this company. They have proven themselves to be unreliable and untrustworthy. I will not do business with dishonest scammers.

Easy and affordable

Not only was the price competitive, but the whole process was easy. We were checked in immediately upon arrival and a shuttle van was ready and left shortly. On return, the van was already at the curb in the arrivals section of the airport and we were back at the garage in no time.

Update to review of 1/23 titled "Another scam out of China"

Well, the jackets finally came. I was sure this was a scam, so I did not expect to ever receive anything. Unfortunately, the fact that the shipment took over a month to arrive is still a problem. As is the fact that all three jackets were too small for my dogs. I'm not even going to try to return them because of the hassle, time and (per another reviewer's story) cost. I'll just chalk it up to an expensive lesson. The only reason I've increased my original rating by one star is because 1) the jackets actually did arrive and 2) every time I sent an email about the purchase I received a response. However, it's still difficult to deal with a company in China and, apparently as is the case with sizing for people, their sizing for animals runs small too.

Another scam out of China

Sadly, I’ve been burned again by an advertisement on Instagram.

Because I have already fallen prey to a scam, I (thought) I investigated this company/site thoroughly before I made a purchase. Everything checked out. Or so I thought. Now, I can only assume that the results of my online search actually related to a similarly named entity and I didn’t catch the discrepancy.

Pawbibi keeps sending me emails showing the “progress” of shipping. Basically, my purchase of 12/22/22 is still “in transit” as of 1/11/23.

It’s a scam, people. Save your money.
