New day new fail

New day, new fail. After no delivery followed by an investigation initiated by the merchant, the merchant resent the item for delivery by dpd today. I tracked the driver online throughout the day and have documentation of his route. Late in the morning he was within a mile of my house and delivered in the neighbouring villages. Later on he was actually right across the street.
Finally, tracking showed the package was delivered to “JNN” at 6:24 pm. I have absolute proof he was never here. In fact, he was at least 20 minutes away at 6:24. The photo he attached is just black. DPD: if you’re reading this I need to know who to escalate this to. I need help. This is serious. It’s fraud.

If only zero stars were possible

If only zero stars were possible! … The nightmarish problems with DPD never end. Again and again packages don’t arrive because the driver falsely claims that the delivery address couldn’t be located or he submits fake (“noncompliant”, as his depot manager calls it) photographs and claims they show he was here but nobody was available to accept the package. I’ve spoken to customer service tens of times and to the depot manager multiple times about this but he seems to have no control over this rogue driver. We have zero issues with any other delivery service and receive DHL, FedEx, UPS etc packages daily.
The situation is completely unworkable and beyond frustrating to me and to the various merchants that are being poorly served.
I would like to escalate it but DPD phone “advisers” say they have no authority to give any further help beyond attempting to connect me with the depot manager, who is every bit as dishonest and incompetent as the drivers.

Lesson learned

This is a good company to deal with when purchases run smoothly. Unfortunately, when things go awry, it becomes a zero-star-worthy nightmare. I purchased a very expensive table that arrived with a serious defect that rendered it useless for its intended purpose. As expected, I had waited several months to receive it since it was a special order item. After some ludicrous haggling about whether the shipper, the manufacturer, or myself was at fault, Mohd agreed to send a replacement. Again, as it is a special order item, it was several months before the replacement was finally received this past September. Within two days after it arrived the same fatal defect appeared in the replacement and Mohd was, again, notified immediately, at which point I requested a refund. This time Mohd asserted that it was clearly not a manufacturers defect since the item had already been “in use” (meaning fully assembled, I guess) for two days, and therefore, they claimed, I had no rights to a refund under their policies. They went on to say they might have considered a refund if I would have agreed to ship the broken item back at my own expense (which I’m sure they’re aware is a powerful deterrent for a very large, very heavy item shipped in a crate internationally)… but in this case they couldn’t because the broken table could no longer be resold as “new” due to it having been used (?!). Further illogic ensued: Because the table had been “in service” for “some time” when it failed, their own warranty policy applied, which required me to (again) wait months for (another) replacement. In both cases, I immediately provided extensive, indisputable, photographic documentation of the defects, and yet we are approaching the one-year mark since the whole disaster began. Needless to say, I’ve turned this dispute over to the credit card issuer. Expect this retailer to reply that they’ve searched their files but have no such purchase on record, which is how this retailer appears to deal with negative feedback on review sites.

we are sorry to read your review especially because what you write is not exactly correct and let us say, also the tone not so nice considering the facts and how we are managing.

So, to be more precise, it’s true it is a special order and very particular piece, handmade and each piece different from the other and yes, when you received the table you told us that It had the top damaged and we have accepted the claim and to replace the table top covering all the costs as well.

Then, of course, we had to wait the replacement but in the meantime you have kept there the table and used it as well.

Then, after the shipping of the replacement top you confirmed its reception in perfect order and after few time you told us again about a new issue on the table top. We have anyway accepted again one more time to replace the table top again and without any cost for you and you instead have opened a claim with the credit card because you would like to have the refund without return.
So, as you can understand this is not exactly correct and we are ready to replace again the table top but we need to cancel the claim otherwise this will make all most slowly. We believe in good sense and we always have an honest approach and we really hope you can understand and use the same approach in order to solve as between good and honest people and once again, if you reply at our email and remove the dispute we will be able to proceed and send you the new table top or, manage with you the return and the refund and always, with good sense and with the same tone and approach you have had from us in all the time and the conversation.
