I have always used booking.com without…

I have always used booking.com without any problems. I booked accommodation for my holiday in February, which was cancelled by the accommodation the day before travel. The hotel rang & told me I'd be upgraded which was an absolute joke. The hotel was unsuitable, and far inferior to the place I had paid to stay. I was traveling with someone whose mobility is compromised, and the hotel knew this. It also cost half the price to stay there. Had to leave & pay to stay elsewhere.
Contacted booking.com, sorted with a refund fairly quickly so couldn't fault them but a separate payment was taken without consent or notification after the refund was processed. I've phoned, been told customer service will get back to me but not a word. I lodged a complaint with them, but totally arrogant customer service
Am disgusted with customer service. I'm not giving up until I get my money back though.

Further to your comment I have tried a few times to solve this problem with going through the right channels but still no response or action been taken so don't tell people to get in touch to resolve something I've tried!!!!
