Herb paradise

Ordered a selection of thyme plants for a new rockery. Delivery was delayed, so concerned for the condition of the plants. Sam got back to me straight away with an apology and an update. Plus re-assurance that all would be fine (they have tested the herbs in boxes for a week and had good results).

They were right - the plants looked very healthy and smelled lovely - even better now they're planted out. Will definitely be buying more from this company (they have an amazing range of different herbs).

Appalling after sales service

I purchased a laptop online but had to pick it up instore. I should have heeded the red flag. Arriving at the store (almost an hour's drive to get there) I was surprised when they handed me the laptop without checking any information apart from my name (eg, the order number, at the least).

I didn't realise until I got home that the seal on the box was broken - and there was no power cable with the laptop. Clearly, the contents should have been checked prior to handing me the box.

Curry's make it impossible to contact the store direct. Their phone 'help' line routes you through a maze of menus and, unless you have a technical issue, sends you links to various videos rather than allowing you to talk with someone. The assistant on the live chat tried to be helpful (I think) but was not allowed to give me the store's telephone number, could not check stock in any particular store and just kept re-iterating that I had to take the laptop back to the store. They did say they had sent an email to the store with my details so the store could contact me - but they couldn't confirm that would happen. The store didn't contact me.

I work full-time, so couldn't return to the store for another week. Another week without a computer. And I had to return to the store without knowing whether they had a replacement in stock or if they could just give me the relevant power cable. Or if I would just have to be refunded.

Curry's requested feedback after my purchase and I outlined the situation. No response.

I've now returned the laptop to the store. They didn't have a replacement in stock and couldn't find a suitable power cable. I suggested they could give me an upgraded replacement, given the inconvenience. That was not possible. The person I dealt with tried their best to be helpful, but was hamstrung by Curry's processes. They also advised that no email had been received about the issue. In the end I had to be refunded.

What a complete waste of time and effort.

I ordered a replacement online from Amazon and it was delivered the next day. How I wish I had done that in the first place.

Good prices, swift delivery

After having the wrong bath delivered (twice!) from a large DIY store, we had to find an alternative. Heat and Plumb had a very good selection and exactly the model we wanted at a very competitive price. Delivery was amazingly quick - we ordered on a Sunday and received the delivery, as notified, the following Tuesday. Will definitely use again.

Nothing received yet

It would be better if companies didn't badger you to submit a review when the goods haven't yet been delivered. On the plus side, the UK Flooring Direct website is comprehensive and easy to navigate and I was delighted to be able to order some free samples. They were meant to be delivered yesterday. However, I've now been advised by the courier that they won't arrive for another week. Guess they've been lost in transit - good job I'm not in a hurry...

No delivery and no response

I should have received my order by now. Payment has been taken, but nothing received and no response to my request for an update. Very disappointing.

Update: After posting the above and contacting the company again, I got a very prompt response from Matt and the delivery was made the next day. A follow up email from Matt, too, just to check that we had received the item. Thank you Matt!

Ed in Devon.

Ed in Devon.
Had problems with the mount charging port of a Trucker 6000. Could not find a new mount anywhere, so took a chance, paid 30 quid.
Sent the mount last week Saturday, and got it back the Wednesday the following week.
Plugged it in and hey presto it worked perfectly.
I have another mount with the same problems. Will send it in for repair after Easter.

Avoid - unreliable

My first order from this company was fine. Good value and received as expected. No acknowledgement for my 2nd order, money was taken from card in January, with the plants meant to be delivered in February. Nothing received and no response at all to my many emails. Lots of marketing emails received, though! Something is very wrong with this set up.
