Concerned investor

It is as if the world has ended when Facebook etc goes down for 7 hours. No one seems to have noticed that Zopa investors have not been able to view or make changes to their accounts for 168 hours. I will be voting with my feet asap.

We’re really sorry about the disruption to our services which impacted our customers recently. Our teams have worked continuously to get everything back online for you, and we’re pleased to say all our services are now fully restored.

The disruption was a result of unexpected system interruptions following resilience testing. We run resilience exercises regularly in the background without any customer impact. However, on this occasion we encountered an issue with the stability of the system.

We’d like to confirm that there was NO cyber attack and it’s important to note that all data was safe and secure throughout the process.

As a precaution, we chose to disable a lot of our services to do this; and have been careful and methodical in getting everything back online.

Again, we’d like to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you. We know this type of service disruption isn’t acceptable and we recognise that we have failed in the standards we set for ourselves. Now that services are restored, we’ll be running a full root cause analysis of the events so we can apply the learnings to improve our future operations. We’ll share the outcomes of this analysis with you in due course.
