Conmen???
Used google to ask about possible problems with a 5 year old Indesit freezer which had unexpectedly stopped working. Just Answer claimed to be able to assist - with supposedly 5 'experts' on-line at that time, with typical response time of 8 minutes. No mention of any charges whatsoever. Typed in my problem, only to be asked to pay a fee for join membership, on a trial basis, for £5. Paid reluctantly! 10 minutes later received an email informing me that I would be being charged £30 per month on an on-going basis for membership of this service. No feedback on my problem! Realising that I was now effectively being conned I immediately cancelled membership - having been a so-called member for around 30 minutes, certainly less than 1 hour. Shortly afterwards received confirmation of cancelled 'membership' by email from Just Answer. Imagine my surprise when, on checking my credit card account the following morning, I discovered that both the £5 'trial' fee and a further £30 had been charged to my card. On contacting Customer Services I was informed that since my cancellation request was made after the 'trial' period had expired (after less than 1 hour since first making contact with this company of clowns and conmen) the charge would stand. The agent then claimed that the chat had finished - and hung up on me! AVOID THIS CROWD AT ALL COSTS!!!
