Disgusting Service, no support. I had to do the work for them and was blamed for it!

I placed an order well in advance of a home move, specifically to ensure it would arrive on time. Instead, the item sat in their warehouse for weeks with no update. I had to reach out twice just to get any information — only then did the status finally change.

When they eventually responded, they admitted the item wouldn’t arrive in time. I immediately provided a new delivery address and asked them to update the shipping details accordingly. Despite this, they went ahead and shipped the order to the old address anyway.

The parcel was then handed over to someone I do not know — not a neighbour, not someone I authorised — just a complete stranger at a property I no longer lived in. At no point did the company take responsibility for this failure. Their only response was to ask me to fill out a form and wait, with no guarantee they’d retrieve the item or send a replacement.

So I had to personally go back to the old address and recover the parcel myself. They called this “my choice,” but in reality it was my only option — their process showed no urgency or ownership.

Eventually, after multiple messages, I was offered a £40 voucher. Frankly, for an experience this poor, it should have been a partial refund. I have no intention of ever shopping with them again.

The customer service was slow, dismissive, and unhelpful throughout. If anything goes wrong with your order, don’t expect support — you’ll have to do the legwork yourself.

While we take full responsibility for the initial preparation delay, we’d like to clarify that your order was already dispatched when we were informed of your change of address, and we acted immediately once notified, submitting an amendment request to DPD. Unfortunately, their policy does not allow them to guarantee address changes once a parcel is in transit, and your order was regrettably marked as delivered to the original address before any redirection could occur.

At no point were we expecting and were you required to collect the parcel yourself. Our advised process was for you to complete an official non-receipt form so we could gladly arrange reshipment or a refund at no cost to you accordingly. As the order was ultimately received by your own action, we offered and issued a £40 goodwill voucher in recognition of the inconvenience caused.

We do value your feedback and will continue improving our processes to prevent such issues in the future.

Aggressive drivers. Company does nothing about it

I wish businesses would choose another courier or give us the option of our courier Evri drivers are terrible, and I question whether they do background checks. This isn't the first time I've had issues with Evri, but it's definitely one of the scariest - My elderly mother was at home to receive the parcel on Saturday, 14th December 2024, in the evening. Despite her willingness to accept the delivery, the driver subjected her to a highly distressing and unacceptable experience. He hurled verbal abuse at her and demanded she open the door wider, even though she had the door partially open already. This aggressive and intimidating behaviour, particularly towards a vulnerable elderly individual, is completely unacceptable.
You'd think Evri would want to know and correct the behaviour of their drivers for their business, but no. I've contacted their customer service team 3 times now to make a complaint and I've either been met with a Bot or silence. I'm sick of this business and clearly the only way they will listen is if companies stop working with them!

UPDATE:
The number provided by the Evri team in their response does not allow you to leave a voicemail. Instead, it is an automated bot that informs you that their team will supposedly look into your order and will contact you before the call ends. This has been the same response I receive through all forms of communication, and each time, it is from a robot. It is completely unacceptable for a company as large as Evri to lack a formal complaints process. I urge businesses to reconsider their partnerships with them. They have proven to be a terrible and untrustworthy company with dangerous drivers. Their lack of a customer service team is surely so they can avoid public complaints.

I made a booking more than six months…

I made a booking more than six months in advance, but the host cancelled it, claiming they double-booked and only realized three months before our arrival date. I suspect they may have realized they could charge a higher price. We're heading to New Zealand, a very expensive holiday destination, and booked early to avoid high prices. Now, all accommodations are fully booked, and Vrbo has been of no help. Their complaints team redirected me to another department, but I haven't received any response despite requesting a transcript and email confirmation. It's been 2 weeks, and I'm still waiting. I'd recommend avoiding Vrbo as there's no guarantee of getting accommodation, which causes unnecessary hassle and uncertainty.

Can't survive winter without it!

These blankets are amazing and its only fault is that I wish they came in a bigger size. Unfortunately my 1st blanket failed on me but it was after heavy usage. I was still within warranty so contacted customer service, who were great. I will say that the process for returning the blanket could have been smoother and more 'modern' but it's hard to complain as once they received everything they shipped a new blanket within 2 days. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them as living in the UK it gets cold well up until May and the blankets have allowed me to save on heating! I also previously purchased one for my mother and her one is still going strong!

Good prices compared to competitors like patch plants. Packaged really well and their plants come healthy. Wouldn't hesitate to buy more and I gift a lot of friends and family plants from B&D.

Wish I saw these reviews before opening an account

I've only been a HSBC customer for 2 years and I will admit aside from this week and my one and only branch experience (long wait times, rude staff), I've not had a bad interaction mainly because I've not had to interact with any staff since opening until now. However I've just been locked out of my account as online banking (app and web) requires the app for security keys and HSBC has failed to update their app for Android 12. Literally every other banking app is available in my app store and HSBC gave no warning that android 12 users will be unable to access their accounts. After several attempts from a robot to get me off the phone, I managed to speak to a human. I tried to explain to the customer service rep the issue but he was not listening to me. Instead he had me reset my password and then told me to login via the app! I explained again that the app is unavailable and says that it's incompatible with my operating system (pixel 6 Pro in android 12) and the customer service rep hangs up the phone on me!! I've never had such an inefficient bank before and such rude customer service in my life. I was initially fine banking with HSBC but I'm locked out of my account and their customer service is garbage. Immediately switched my account to Santander. At least I'll be getting their switching offer as a bonus on top of their app working on android 12

Lockdown Heros!

Great coffee and super fast delivery in London. I would sign up for a subscription but there seems to be a bug in the checkout process, doesn't allow products to be added. Otherwise love black sheep!
