Very pleased with my new bed

Very pleased with my new bed. I had ordered wood samples before choosing and has questions answered quickly via email. I also requested an alteration to the size which was easily accommodated. Communication was very good throughout. The quality is amazing and well worth the extra cost, will last me my whole life.

This is the third year in a row where I have had to request a refund for an automatic payment that I never agreed to in the first place. They clearly hope that people do not catch the fact that they have been put on an annually repeating subscription and that's how they make money.

I bought a lovely Aran jumper in dark…

I bought a lovely Aran jumper in dark apple and it looks fantastic, the quality really shows. It was also on sale at a good price and made in the UK with British wool.
Have the website bookmarked and planning on ordering a few more jumpers in future.

Do not trust Dulux's colour promise.

I had painted a bedroom with 2 different cans of the same colour of Dulux Heritage paint and the finish was absolutely perfect- one coat would have done but did 2 and happy. Beautiful finish.

I went to do a feature wall with a different colour which had been mixed in a Dulux centre and it was atrocious- 5 mins of mixing and the paint came out a mess- blotchy, patchy just horrendous.

I emailed their perfect price guarantee email with photos of all the relevant receipts and photos to compare the two walls to be told: they have never had a problem with that paint colour before (it was mixed new in a shop), it's an application error (as I said in the email I used a new roller from the same multipack that got me a good finish in a different colour and the same technique), that darker colours are just harder to paint (like I'm an idiot) and that if I wanted to claim there was an actual defect I needed to sent at least 250 ml of paint to be sampled (how the hell would that work logistically, the can was 1l and it's all on my wall looking like a murder scene and none of this was mentioned online they claim online you just have to send information and proof and it'll be dealt with). I KNOW it's a fault as the sample pots of the exact same colour I was using came out extremely smoothly!

It's clearly going to take at least 3 more coats to smooth this out or I'll have to pay someone to wallpaper it.

They have a "promise" clearly stated online and will clearly try to find any excuse to get around it.

I was actually thrilled with the result of the first bedroom but sufficed to say I will never but another Dulux product again and will make sure to warn other against using them also.

I ordered a cabinet which is very well…

I ordered a cabinet which is very well made and made in the UK. Even better, I got it on clearance at an amazing price. They forgot to include the handle which was send the following day first class delivery all professional communication etc.

My only issue is the delivery. Communication around it was excellent and you're well informed of the time but it came on a massive palette which is 2.5x the volume of the actual cabinet. I'm now stuck trying to dispose of it as the council won't take it, I don't have a car to get it to the dump and it will never fit in the bin unless I get a saw and cut it up which will take all day.

If you are going to buy from them (and quality-wise I'd recommend you do) maybe insist in advance they send it without a huge palette.

I ordered 4 lamp shades online having visited the workshop in Edinburgh (not clearly signposted) to see colours and was helped with photos of samples e-mailed to me on request. The lampshades themselves are lovely and it's nice being able to get hand made locally. Took around 3 weeks from date of order to be ready.

Returning my fairphone after one day

Returning my fairphone after one day.

The website makes it clear that it is "an android experience free of bloatware" but it's actually the google android and has 10 google apps pre-installed which cannot be deleted. Moreover I cannot use it as it defaults to the ridiculous google voice keyboard instead of a typed keyboard which I cannot change.

I can't even contact the support line to see if there is a fix as the live chat is only available for 3 hours 2 days a week!

It's shame as the specs are very good and it looks/ feels like a quality phone but misleading advertising and completely unusable for me.

Got a bed delivered by Furdeco and very happy with the experience. Was kept up do date with a timeslot days in advance then a call an hour before to advise of delivery time. Delivery men were friendly and careful with the items, unpacked them and encouraged me to check over everything before signing for delivery. I had also called the day before to clarify something and got all the info I needed.

No support at all

No support at all. I've had a google account for 15+ years. Recently it has been hacked with the password and email changed. The account recovery only goes so far as to say you have to sign in from a known device and with at least one previous password. I am using the same laptop I've had for 5 years and the password I am putting in was just changed in September after a security alert. There is no customer service to speak to, no number to call, no support chatbot, you have to log an enquiry on the forum which NEEDS YOU TO LOG IN. Useless. Do not put any trust in google.

Bought the eco refill boxes for both detergent and fabric conditioner. Originally bought the single botles in a shop. The sandalwood and cedarwood detergents smell amazing. Good that they're eco friendly ingredients and made in th UK as advertised.

I'm shocked to read all these bad reviews as a steam user for 5 years.
I've bought many games over the years with no issues at all.
I bought a game on a sale which turned out to be a completely different game to what I was expecting and steam refunded me straight away no questions asked (I was honest about it just being not my kinda game).
I also bought a game which was on sale but turned out to have loads of awful reviews and it was glitchy af and again a refund straight away.
I have also had steam gift cards as a present in the past and has no issues redeeming or using them.

I've only had one issue so far with…

I've only had one issue so far with trustpilot but it definitely calls into question some of the trustworthiness.

I had my account suspended because "several reviews were flagged as spam by an algorithm". If I want my account back I have to reply to this automatic email.
Now no information was given as to which reviews were considered spam or how the algorithm determines what is spam. That seems a bit iffy to me.
I had replied that my account was not spam but had no reply. I then replied to the email again a few months later saying my acount isn't spam and I got a reply asking for some proof of purchase for some of my reviews. When the proof was sent my account was re-instated.

So they did handle it well when I proved my acount was genuine, however a website which has trustworthiness and transparancy as its raison d'etre really ought to be far more open on why individual users have been suspected of spam. The first instance should be asking for proof of purchase for a random review BEFOR susending an account with no proof of wrondoing.


I do still find it a useful source for more obscure or less-known websites/ brands and still try to share my experiences as best I can to help others in this regard.

Take the payment for a booking BEFORE confirming with the hotel. So the booking was cancelled because the room isn't available but payment is still being taken? I had read all hese bad reviews having booked through them successfully before but yes it is now very clear that booking.com are not a trustworthy company.
