The journey to the airport.
The journey from the airport to Liverpool station was spectacular, but the return from Liverpool station to the airport was a disaster. Halfway to the airport, the train stopped and we were asked to get off. We had to move with all our luggage and the children to another train platform. There, we were made to wait for 30 minutes with the excuse that another train was coming, which never happened. After 30 minutes of waiting and asking (because nobody was giving us any information), we were told that we had to make our own way to the airport. The options were: buses (packed with overflowing people) or Uber for €70 for the remaining 15 minutes. With two children and still some time left to get to the airport, we opted for the bus, but seeing that they were overcrowded, we had to take an Uber.
The only positive aspect of this journey was that the refund service was excellent, and within less than 2 weeks, we had the full refund for the Liverpool station to the airport journey in our account. We are left with a bad feeling due to the misinformation and the time wasted while nobody informed us about the train situation.
