Alisha was fantastic!

My daughter had Alisha for some maths tuition to help her through her GCSE Maths and she passed! She said it was the tutoring that really helped and tipped her over into the pass mark. She was over the moon as she didn't want to have to re-take at college. Well worth the time and money and Alisha was lovely and understanding and set all the right tasks to help her.

GOOD SERVICE

Bought a gorgeous skirt in the Carnaby Street store so ordered another one in a different colour online. Was very wary because of reviews. But ordered, arrived and returned via Evri (I didn't like the other one!) and hope refund is going through but no issues so very pleased. Would use again.

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!

Was concerned about online ordering due to reviews and I am always wary but ordered 2 pairs of shorts for my daughter. Arrived the following day for free! She loved them. We took one back to the Oxford Street store and returned and had confirmation of a refund. Really easy and efficient. Maybe we just got lucky but would defo use again. Thank you! Mind you, the Oxford Street store is chaos and so busy so wasn't keen on that bit!

GOT THROUGH TO A HUMAN IN 2 MINUTES!

Only just got a quote from Cornmarket as Tesco were rubbish and had to hold for ages and then went through everything to find they wouldn't insure my 17 year old son who is learning to drive. Got through to a human being within about 2 minutes which is a gold star from me! Really helpful, reasonable quote and a short concise phonecall, what's not to like? I'll be back for more insurance. Thank you.

EXCELLENT SERVICE OVER CONFUSING ORDER!

My son had a missing pivot bolt that had fallen off his bike. We were struggling to find it and ordered what we thought was correct from Winstanley. Upon ordering, the parcel didn't arrive so we ordered again as it was urgent and this promptly did arrive. It was difficult to get through on the phone but I did eventually and explained the situation to a lovely chap called Pav. He then emailed me to confirm he would refund for the missing item (which they promptly did). It then turned out it wasn't the correct one anyway so we had to return the 2nd one. The 1st one then turned up (is this confusing?!) To cut a long story short I then returned both but it was quite complicated. However, Winstanley were brilliant and did not quibble about anything and have issued me refunds for both items that I have now returned. They could easily have made it more complicated but I didn't even have to chase them. I would definitely use them again for any bits my son needs. Thank you! Pav was especially helpful.

DREADFUL STAFF IN BOOTS MAIDENHEAD

I went into Boots Maidenhead store this morning to purchase some handwash and floss. I don't often shop in Boots as I find it expensive and the staff are miserable but it was just convenient today. Anyway, firstly there are ALWAYS queues and they never put any more staff on even when it's busy. When I got to the till the young lady (I'm guessing a teenage Saturday job girl) was sooo rude. She didn't even look at me or say please or thank you or crack any kind of friendly facial expression. It was beyond shocking. I am ALWAYS polite as I have worked behind a till myself! Even on a bad day I was ALWAYS POLITE and lovely to the Customer. That is the job! I actually asked her if she could crack a smile and the shock on her face. I wasn't rude but honestly, I could not believe it. One of my kids has a Saturday job and enjoys it and is always smiley and happy to the customers as that is the job. Also the floss I wanted is £7.00 (I have to use special floss) but it's £3.50 in Savers. Obviously I bought a cheaper one. That is daylight robbery frankly. Anyway, after that rant the moral of the story is I will never shop there again unless absolutely necessary. All the staff are rude and miserable and that is unacceptable in my book. And it's expensive! I wouldn't have employed any of their staff if I owned a business. A smile costs nothing and can make someone's day!

Amazing Customer Experience

Our hoover has not been working properly for a while. Called Sebo and I took in the following day (I work nearby luckily!). It was still under warranty which I wasn't aware of so they replaced the motor which was faulty and did a few extras which were chargeable (they let me know about the charges before going ahead). Collected about a week later and is perfect. So helpful, staff were lovely and smiley (is that a word?) and so efficient. Hope it doesn't go wrong again but wouldn't hesitate to call them!

Won't be using them again!

I insured my car for September and October for my son who is learning to drive. It turns out he doesn't feel confident enough to drive with me yet! I phoned and emailed Marmalade to ask them if I could postpone the October payment until he is ready or even get a refund and I'll re-insure when he's ready. The lady I spoke to on the phone couldn't care less and said she'd check and phone back which she didn't. Also, they never confirmed via email either. So now I have paid for 2 months insurance and not used it. It was partly my fault for booking 2 months but I wouldn't mind if they at least responded and were polite and courteous and that annoys me the most!! I'll be going elsewhere when the time comes. Please feel free to re-imburse me for 1/2 months if you would like me to remove this review! If you base companies on their Customer Service, don't use this one!

Amazing Company

We had some windows and bifolds installed in 2017. Our rogue builder had never ordered our windows even though he took our money and Windowworx came out and sorted them and were amazing and efficient. We recently had a leak from the bifolds (8 years on) and they came round as soon as possible to sort it out (no charge). Some of the drainage holes were bunged up so it wasn't a fault with the doors. They came round quickly and sorted it. The guy was very efficient and polite and the lady on reception, Charlotte is also lovely. I am amazed by the other reviews as they are one of the best companies I have dealt with over the years.

KFC MAIDENHEAD AND ONLINE SHOCKING

Ordered from KFC online. A friend logged in who was here but we paid, long story. Took over an hour to deliver, the driver had dropped a drink, no apology, didn't care. Another can dented. Am furious. Customer service not interested in refunding or helping as they need the person who logged in to email, not the person who paid but don't want to ask them as a bit awkward. Didn't even offer us any goodwill or vouchers. This was from the MAIDENHEAD store so be warned. I absolutely won't be using them again. It was £35.00 which I was already cross about paying as it's so much money. That is why I don't do this often and won't be doing it again.

Amazing Bins and Great Customer Service

We have had 2 Simple Human Kitchen Bins for probably over 10 years which are still going strong. We had an issue with the lid of one where the pins had broken and the lid wouldn't work. I emailed them with a photo and without question they sent the new pins which arrived within 2 days free of charge. My husband and I fixed it within 10 mins tonight and bin is as good as new. Amazing customer service and very hard wearing bins. Ours get a real battering from the kids!! Well worth the money.

Stress Free Experience

I am wary of ordering online in general, especially large purchases. Bought a very expensive bike for my 16 year old son as he had his heart set on a particular one. I was apprehensive but ordered, was kept up to date regularly with emails from the company and UPS. The package arrived as informed and my son loves it so phew, I can relax. He is delighted and it kept him and his friend busy for 2.5 hours building it! I am always extremely grateful for stress free online purchases so thank you! I have purchased from Evans Cycles before and they were dreadful!!

Bad pick up at Wycombe

Every time I come to pick up a parcel it takes ages in High Wycombe. Recently I came and the lady was fixing the machine. She carried on doing that as if I wasn't there then eventually got my parcel after this, way too long as had to get to work. The previous time, no-one was there and when I asked someone they said someone would come out and it took ages. Then back for my parcel which took ages. It seems they were waiting for a few parcels rather than just one customer but this is unsatisfactory. It puts me off as Marks and Spencer are extremely efficient at this. On the upside your automated returns system is very good. Just improve the collection

G&S Maidenhead Fantastic

I used Maidenhead Grant and Stone about 6 months ago for a shower head fitment. They were extremely nice and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for the chaps involved. The items we bought have been perfect and considering they were only small items and we didn't spend much they were amazing. I also called them to ask for a bathroom fitter to fix a shower screen for us and were equally helpful offering information to help me out even though there was nothing in it for them. I will always return to them for anything future bathroom requirements. They are great!

CON ARTISTS. PLEASE DO NOT USE!!!!

Like everyone else, ABSOLUTE scam. Ordered 2 tops, 2 sizes to return one but neither fitted. Precious just kept offering 50% off this and that and can I order something else at a lower price. I have so far accepted 50% refund (yet to be processed!) as I don't want the hassle of chasing up the rest. This is why Jeff Bezos is on his £500million yacht because Amazon are reliable and safe and you can return. I will be ordering from them in future or going to the shops in person. Had enough of being scammed. Curvy Power should be ashamed of themselves and this should not be allowed. It has been stressful! I don't know how these people sleep at night.

DO NOT ORDER FROM EVANS CYCLES

I ordered and paid for a new 20/21 bike for my son in early July. Delivery was due 30th September 20. Received nothing, heard nothing. Written 4 e-mails, 2 letters and numerous phone calls to stores. They can't help with online orders apparently and MORE IMPORTANTLY DO NOT CARE! There is no customer service phone number due to lockdown (no-one has phones?). Considering we are all working from home with phones I can't believe they can actually use this as an excuse. I WILL BE ENSURING NO-ONE I KNOW EVER USES EVANS EVER AGAIN. ALL MY FRIEND'S CHILDREN CYCLE AND MY FAMILY. DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. They have £375 of our money and no goods or contact. Pathetic excuse for a company. IF ANYONE FROM EVANS WOULD LIKE TO REDEEM THEMSELVES OUR ORDER IS FOR A SP ROCKHOP 21 S-BLK ORDERED ON 3RD JULY. I have a very upset son who didn't receive his birthday present.
