Customer service is quite poor and difficult to reach, unless a payment didn't go through, then you'll get 2 emails and 10 text messages in a couple of hours. Seriously are they going to send the boys round later to collect the money! I got your email and your message, I'll deal with them at the end of the day when I'm not working. There is no need to send multiple copies on the same day, it makes you look unprofessional.

Review of Barclays
I needed to transfer a small sum between two accounts I have, one with Barclays, and another in Denmark. Using Barclays would have cost me approx. £100 in fees. Using Transferwise (which I would highly recommend) the fees would be only £14, so a no brainer which one to use.
I used all of the security features Barclays offer (PIN Sentry identification and respond) answered all of their anti-fraud questions, even provided information that they don't need (it doesn't concern you what the money is for) just in case that may affect the payment.
Anway after it was all setup and I clicked the final button I was informed that my account was locked and that a customer service member would contact me. Well no one contacted me, and after many, many attempts using all of the numbers I could find, I finally got through and had the account opened.
It is ridiculous how difficult they made it to contact them and have this issue resolved, and after all of the processes and questions to prevent fraud, I honestly believe they locked the account without any other reason than to dissuade me from using a third party for international transfers in the future.
