Octopus really do make it so easy for…

Octopus really do make it so easy for customers, best energy company I’ve ever been with. Current tariff coming to an end, five minute chat this morning with Chris from ST1 team and I’m all sorted with a new deal including their smart energy electric Intelligent Octopus for our electric car. Quality product, excellent installation

Initially we went to Heat Depot to investigate purchasing a replacement gas fire. After talking with Paul in the showroom about room size and heat output, we changed our minds to a log burner and purchased a Rais burner which was ex display, but clearly hadn’t been lit. We were given an excellent price. Paul also helped and advised us regarding hearth size and ordered our chosen granite which arrived quickly.
We did have some issues with communication regarding a fit date, but we are very pleased with the installation Dan and his colleague have done, it has made a huge difference to our room. They also went above and beyond sorting out a problem with our roof around the flue.
A few weeks after installation we reported an issue with what we thought was rain water coming down the flue. This was addressed swiftly, a storm cap was fitted which has solved the issue and also gives us a better draw up the flue.
Overall we are extremely pleased with our purchase and the advice and service provided by Heat Depot at all stages of our project.

Damaged item, poor customer service

Bought a perfume gift (£100+) on line as a Christmas present for my mother. Parcel arrived within 48 hours which was great, but delivery driver advised I check it as the box was damp and he thought something had leaked as there was a strong perfume smell. On opening everything was damp- Selfridges cotton bag, invoice and perfume box itself. Driver said I could refuse delivery as it was clearly damaged, so I took lots of photos and gave it back to him. I contacted Selfridges on line chat immediately expecting an easy resolution….. One advisor left the chat before I’d had chance to complete a reply, the second asked for a video of me opening the box as proof of the damage. I hadn’t taken a video only photos, the chat would only allow me to upload one which clearly showed moisture within the cellophane wrapper. However the advisor stated he couldn’t see any evidence of damage so couldn’t help….!
Phoned and spoke to an advisor who said I had to wait until they received the damaged goods back before I would be issued a refund, up to 5 days.I expressed concern given the time of year that there would be a possibility it might not make it back to them as couriers are so busy, so what would happen, again told they needed item back and if not received would raise an investigation with the courier.
Selfridges have failed to deliver goods which are fit for purpose, I have emailed a number of photos showing this and now have to wait …… As a customer I don’t expect this from Selfridges. Customer services did not make my experience “extraordinary “ instead I felt let down, frustrated and dismissed. I have reordered the perfume, needless to say not from Selfridges.

Very pleased I’m now “fussy”

Eventually switched to fussy a few months ago after thinking about it for ages, then forgetting to actually do it. So glad I have. The product works really well for me, even during a HiT class. Fragrances are subtle, not overpowering like some sprays and I’m happy not to be throwing away used deodorant cans. Also not missing the white staining on clothes that always seemed to happen if I was in a rush. Very easy to manage subscription too. Can highly recommend.

Visited Harvey Nichols Manchester today with 2 watches needing attention. My Rado was dealt with very efficiently by Charlie who was thoughtful enough to give me a case to put it in inside my handbag. My husband thought his Tag Heuer watch needed a service and new battery, but Charlie saved us the expense by explaining it was the fact he wasn’t wearing it regularly that was the problem. He gave us great advice re purchasing an automatic watch roller. A thoroughly efficient, professional service. Can highly recommend

AVOID this incompetent company

My husband and I have been Vodafone mobile customers for over 10 years. My son recently came out of contract and wanted to take over paying for his own phone and to port his number He waited the 30 days as per their instructions to transfer his number to his own contract only to find that they have deleted his phone number. It no longer exists !!
A day or so later my husbands phone was also cut off even though he is in in the middle of a monthly contract and had NOT requested to exit his contract. He was left with no phone at all. He is an NHS Consultant and was on call that day for 24 hours. Potentially this could have been very dangerous, he works in ENT so can deal with very sick patients who have airways and breathing problems, when he is called he can be needed vv quickly.
Vodafone cut his phone off ……I will leave it at that and to your imagination as to what could potentially have happened.
He was put on pay as you go temporarily for the day so he had phone access and was assured that he would be put back on his monthly contract overnight. Easy , you would think ?? Unfortunately not. He is still on pay as you go
It gets worse. The account that was in my husbands name has now been transferred to my number, WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. And the charge due this month is currently over £800 with no explanation. Customer services /complaints seem unable to resolve this even despite several calls. However with the press of a button they can instantly switch you off and overcharge you. He is now facing a full weekend on call for the NHS and doesn’t have the mobile service he signed up for. Appalling service, appalling company and in this particular situation a dangerous company, they should be ashamed.
I have read the reviews and can see how they treat their customers with complete disregard for any consequences.
We had a similar experience years ago of being charged £1000 when our eldest son took over his own contract and number. We followed all the instructions on this occasion too and hadn’t cancelled his contract or put ourselves in the position of being liable for an early termination fee. It took them seconds to take the money from our account, but a month to be refunded after many calls and lots of stress. We should have left while we could ! My advice is to avoid them.

8 weeks and still no chair

Ordered a chair and chair pad on 15 th January, both items were in stock. I have received the chair pad but it’s not much use to me without the chair. Chair is currently showing as in stock on Cox and Cox website. Two calls to customer service, both ladies very polite. Latter call assured me priority service, but still no sign of any tracking code or delivery. I did receive a letter of apology regarding the service and with it a limited 35% off offer. I don’t think I shall be using it after this experience. Truly disappointing and appalling service

Terrible Company

I ordered a garden table as a gift in early June.It hasn’t arrived. The company don't respond to emails and you cant get to speak to someone, its just a recorded message that tells you to email.
Wish I had read their reviews before ordering
Will avoid at all costs in future
