Always a great experience

Always a great experience - I never feel rushed in the shop and the staff take time to listen. Sure, you can buy trainers anywhere but you can’t always get great customer service which is why I like to buy from here.

Good product - but probably overpriced

Houdini cabinet - Good(ish) product, waited 4 months but kept up to date. Wood is of good material but the frame is of low quality and not very sturdy. I might get a friend to weld the screw joints. Pipe thickness is thin. Definitely not worth what we paid for it, but looks nice so pros and cons I guess.

Thanks to Phil (Manchester/Cheshire) for being an all-around great guy. I had a tyre issue, and he ran the tyre and myself to and from the fitting centre. He was professional, punctual and got the job done—credit to RAC.

Great, delivered on time and as described. Prices were excellent, and customer service was great. I must return a few bits because they're too big, but the returns service is simple. I know this sounds like basic online retail, but getting the basics right seems to be hard for lots of online stores. Good job, SG.

Great company, fast payment.

After searching online for somewhere to sell my Mac, I found MacBuyBack. They offered good value, and importantly for me personally they were local and I could go and drop my Mac off without having to worry about posting it. Staff were really friendly, dropped it off on the Friday got paid on the following Wednesday, no hassle and excellent communications, in fact this is how good customer service should operate. If you’re wondering if it’s safe or will you get paid, then yes and yes 👍

Genuinely the worst customer service I've ever had

So I ordered a pair of snowboard boots direct from DC. Because of the beyond clumsy interface, I updated the billing address to my correct address instead of the delivery address which is only 50% correct. Within ~30 mins of noticing this, I emailed customer service to explain my mistake and asked them to update. Most normal customer service departments would just say sure, no problems it's only a line or 2...not DC, I received a very official email:

"Thank you for your

Our systems have been designed to allow you to receive your order as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, we do not have the possibility at this stage to modify or cancel your order.
Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience.

If you do not want to receive this parcel, please refuse the delivery when the driver attempts to deliver it.
The parcel will then be sent back to us automatically and, you will receive a full refund.

We thank you for your understanding,

Kind regards
Your Customer Care DCshoes"

So...how do I reject a delivery that isn't going to my right address? What if someone accepts the delivery and shoves it on eBay (likely). Clearly, their operatives have not been trained in logic or customer empathy. Once I emailed back to state the obvious I got the same email back. I'm now going to my CC provider to cancel the charge. I'm not sure this is even legal with purchasing rights (although Brexit could have altered that). I've been wearing DC stuff for 15+ years and this experience definitely means that I won't be buying their goods again.

DC - you need a chief customer officer or someone who's just even vaguely bothered with people!
