My daughter bought me a hazel tree with roots infused with summer truffle spores - supposedly the truffles would grow along with the tree. Present arrived beautifully packaged but, despite following all instructions, the sapling was showing signs of distress within three days and one week after my birthday looked pretty much dead. I wrote to the Present Tree customer services team, inserting photos of the ‘tree’. They didn’t even bother to respond. Unless you have a fondness for collecting dead twigs, I suggest you steer clear.

As advertised. Evenly sized logs delivered wrapped on a stacked pallet. Delivery was on time and the logs burn beautifully.

Biased, bigoted and dumbed down. Can’t bear to watch or listen any more. Not to mention the totally unjustified salaries paid to the high priests and priestesses of woke who should be keeping their opinions to themselves and reporting all the facts, not just the convenient ones that fit the narrative.

Whether you rate this service 4 or 5 stars probably depends on your willingness to share your phone number before you can make any progress. For those who are willing, it’s probably a 5. For those who aren’t, the experience so far has nonetheless been good as I seem to have been put in touch with a charming and competent IFA.
