Warranty Scam

Do not buy goods from Google as their so-called customer support is an absolute disgrace.
I received an email from Google stating they had fitted a faulty battery to my Pixel 6a and that I was entitled to $452 compensation as my phone was still in warranty. However, they kept delaying payment until my warranty expired and are now saying that because my warranty has expired I'm only entitled to $150 compensation. This company is disreputable and operates in a totally unethical and immoral manner.

Stock system is a waste of time

I needed some specific screws and checked which B&Q store near me had them in stock. The Newton Abbot branch was showing 8 boxes in stock. When I got there they had none. Website was still showing 8. This isn't the first time I've found their stock system to be totally useless. Even their staff admit it is rarely accurate. Better to show no stock levels than showing misleading ones.

Avoid at all costs

I placed three orders (four items) with AliExpress and all of them were a complete disaster.
The first item arrived badly damaged due to completely inadequate packaging, the second item is supposedly still in transit a month after it's expected delivery date and the third and fourth items were cancelled by the seller/AliExpress.
A 100% FAILURE RATE.
Pay the extra and buy from eBay or Amazon.

Faulty Canon EOS80D body.

I ordered a used canon EOS80D body from Park Cameras. When it arrived I set about testing it and found I could not get the autofocus to work in certain modes despite resetting it back to the factory default settings and also trying a few other things suggested during my search through Google. I contacted customer services and was talked through a few different possible fixes but none of them worked and so they agreed to take it back. Two weeks later I saw they had another one for sale and so ordered it. It turned out to be the same camera body with the same problem. I did not have time to get yet another one before my holiday and so again resorted to Google in the hopes I could fix the problem myself. After more than two hours of working my way through various help forums and YouTube videos I was eventually able to fix it. Even though I had managed to fix the problem I still contacted customer services and explained that I had been sent the same camera body with the same problem. They told me this was completely unacceptable and that an investigation into how this could have happened would be conducted and that I would receive a report as to their findings. Having heard nothing from them after several days I chased them up for the report but the only response I received was a request for instructions on to how to correct the problem in case they came across it again.

According to Park Camera’s website customers can:
"Buy with complete confidence and peace of mind, as our equipment is quality-checked prior to listing, having undergone comprehensive testing, cleaning, as well as a sensor check on all second-hand cameras”.

Unless checking the camera will actually focus is outside the scope of their “….. comprehensive testing” then this is clearly untrue. The fact that they sent it out once with this problem is bad enough but to send it out a second time with the same problem, even after I reported it to them, is an absolute disgrace. Also, I never received the promised report, probably because they could not not come up with a valid reason to explain what happened other than shear incompetence. If I was being cynical I might be tempted to believe they take the view that it is more cost effective to replace any faulty equipment rather than testing every piece, relying on the fact that the majority of photographers look after their equipment.
I certainly will not buy anything from them again.
The reason I waited so long before leaving this review is because the camera body was under warranty and I was concerned that if I left a poor review during the warranty period any claim might be looked upon less than favourably.

Nationwide travel insurance transfer.

Nationwide travel insurance transfer.
Travel insurance transferred to Aviva but transfer did not include pre-existing medical conditions. Under the terms of the transfer Aviva would not answer any questions until 1st May and as I'm going on holiday on the 11th May this doesn't give me a lot of time to get this sorted especially when the don't answer the phone. After 45 minutes I still hadn't managed to speak to anyone.
Absolutely appalling service.

Appalling Service

Appalling Service - EDF sent me invoices even though I had set up direct debits to cover my energy costs. It took six phone calls over a period of weeks before they finally sorted the mess out. With the exception of the final person I spoke to the previous five so-called customer service advisors, I use the term loosely as they obviously have no understanding of the words "customer service", all displayed a level of incompetence that was beyond belief.
The customer advisors said I didn't need to pay the invoice as it was their mistake and they would sort everything out. I should never have listened to them because they didn't correct things and so my credit score was badly affected because according to their system I was late settling my account.
There are plenty of other energy suppliers available and I would recommend using any one of them ahead of EDF.

Appalling Product

Ordered their Miami pine bed frame and received something that was only fit for a wood burner. The workmanship was appalling and their quality control is obviously non-existent. They sent out a replacement which was pretty much the same.
I will never purchase any of their products again.

All the staff I have dealt with at RDX Sports have been professional, polite and very helpful. It's a shame I can't say the same about most of the other companies I've dealt with recently.
My punchbag is of great quality and for a great price. I highly recommend them.

Watch started losing time after only 8 weeks. They refused to fulfill their obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and told me I had to sort the issue out with the manufacturer myself.

Poor map and even poorer customer service

Purchased a map from them which was described as being in very good condition. When I opened the map I found there was a hole in it. I contacted WoB and said that I didn't think that a map with a hole in it could be described as being in very good condition but they didn't even bother to reply.

Appalling service

Appalling service. First time I used them (and last) the interior of the car was in a disgusting condition. The car smelt strongly of dog, the seats were covered in white dog hair and there was bits of food on the seats and on the floor. Worse still, they didn't even bother to respond to my complaints about the condition of the car. Avoid at all costs.

Appalling service

Appalling service. When I went to pick up the car they didn't have one available. I had to take one of their car club cars which they assured me would cost no more than the hire car. The interior of the car was covered in white dog hairs, it smelt strongly of dog and there were bits of food on the seats and carpets. They then charged me £60 more than the hire car price and didn't bother to respond to my complaints about the condition of the car. Avoid at all costs.
