If I could leave them zero stars I…

If I could leave them zero stars I would.

We had a meal which took an hour to arrive. It wasn’t anything fancy, just fish and chips. It was cold, greasy, with raw inside batter and inedible. We were offered a replacement but it would have been another hour to wait so we declined. We were told by the takeaway to contact just eat which we did. They gave us less than half our money back in “account credit” and said this was in line with their policy despite being sent photo and video evidence. This is theft, they have taken our money for a product which was not fit for consumption and have refused to refund us.

Congratulations just eat, for your abysmal customer service and care you will lose out on a regular income from us. We will no longer use this service and highly encourage others to avoid.


Edit - a representative responded to our complaint of their verdict by saying that they were not able to overturn the original result.

Edit - we responded to this with a quite frankly scathing email, we got a response basically telling us that after reviewing the evidence, we have to appreaciate that not all restaurants and takeaways prepare dishes the same way.…

This is after we have told them repeatedly the food was cold and not cooked through correctly. 🤦‍♂️

Useless

I have had a couple of small orders from these people so far and its turned up fine.

I made a large order and they sent matt carbon wrap and not gloss like I had ordered. I tried to ring them but that was useless, I tried to email them multiple times and I have been waiting months for a reply. I have given up on trying to get my money back now. I' am just thankful that I hadn't sent the large order that I was going to.

Reading the reviews I am not alone in experiencing their poor to non-existant customer service.

Absolute trash of a company

Absolute trash of a company!

I’m halfway through a build and they stopped sending me anything but still took payments. Tried calling, tried emailing, all with no answer. Found out later through various websites that they have gone bust!

Absolutely disgraceful! I’m not alone in this, they have robbed other people and not contacted them in regards to their orders or what’s happening within the company. They should be ashamed of themselves but I doubt people like that feel shame.

Highly deceitful and useless

Highly deceitful, useless service designed solely to take money away from people.

The website is designed to resemble the DVLA and GOV websites. The difference ? They charge you for the free service !

I have not made a car SORN for quite some years but was shocked that there was a charge attached, makes sense I thought as things are always getting more expensive right ? Wrong, making a vehicle SORN is still free but companies like this pray on those like myself.

The website looks legitimate, exactly like the real government counterparts, it uses all the right jargon and doesn’t mention plainly that it’s not an official government body (maybe in the very very small text, but I couldn’t see it). They even offer a 24 hour “fast track” service where they charge nearly £38!

How companies like this can sleep at night taking money away from people is beyond me. During the worst economical crisis we have faced in years during a pandemic where people are losing their lives companies like this are still operating and it’s shameful

Avoid avoid avoid !

Avoid avoid avoid !

2 months ago my partner bought a outside dining set and it turned up with 2 of the chairs legs snapped at the welds. We informed homebase of the issue and after many emails and phone calls we got a refund, however 2 months later the broken dining set is still sat in our shed as they wont pick it up !

Also bought a gazebo from them that lasted less then a month. We had a bit of wind but where we lived wasnt so bad. The gazebo frame snapped (at the weld point again) and went straight through the fabric top.
i called homebase newmarket and they said 'was it outside ?' i replied that it was as its a gazebo.
they gave me the customer service email and that was that. i politely made my report to them and included pictures of the welded joint area (rusty inside and only one small point of weld penetration)

Recieved an email the next day saying that as discussed over the phone i had voided all warranty by having it outside in windy conditions and that was that.

Absolutely fuming, lying about what was said and completelty disregarding picture evidence of poor quality manufacturing.

Ordered service parts in December 2019…

Ordered service parts in December 2019 and immediately received a email saying that some parts were out of stock.
Ok, no problem i can wait a week or two, or so i thought!

I ended up emailing them on the 13th March 2020 to ask what was happening with my parts. I didnt get a reply email until the following Friday! And that was to ask me what parts i was waiting for ?!
So yes its a pretty low one star from me for:

A - Not keeping stock of service items
B - Poor communication with customers
C - Ridiculous waiting times
D - Taking a week to reply to a email.
E - Not recording parts outstanding/or training staff how to look for parts outstanding on the online invoice (not sure what to put exactly for that one because it could be poor service from the guy taking the order or just the guy replying to the email being a lazy sod)

They are more then happy to take your money in a speedy fashion but making sure you get all your parts or even get money back is slow and painful.

Update ;

the parts i did receive in December were not right nor in the quantities ordered.

update 2;

again mulitple emails and phone calls later i dont have the part i require. The cars still in the garage and been unusable since before the weekend (its tuesday now). They sent 2 dpd collections out for the old part however (one to the wrong address) so they were keen to get their stock back, less so to give me what i actually paid for. i had been promised that the real part would be delivered as the wrong one was picked up, obviously a lie.
After another email i finally got them to send the new part......they sent it to the wrong address which i was thrilled about (sarcasm). So i emailed them again, no one replied until a day later and a few hours before the delivery. Again it was the wrong address and all i got was a email saying that they couldnt amend the delivery location.

overall id say dont do anything over the phone with them, they will deny any promises made.

Dont expect a speedy response... or the correct bits to show up.

Worst customer service i have ever had, worst delivery and parts supplier I have ever used.

Its now Tuesday 31st March 2020, over 3 months since i made the original order. I still dont have what i ordered
