When you drive for a living it is very easy to rack up penalty points over a 3 year period. The hazard then looms of a penalty points disqualification and a job ending 6 month ban. Sometimes this can be averted by persuading the court, on any one occasion, to endorse fewer penalty points than they otherwise would have done.
