No concern for H&S of the customer
Less than useful.
Ordered a treadmill from Very, and they delivered it to Isle of Man.
We had to wait 18 days for eventual delivery having had delivery cancelled on us three times.
On arrival we had to build it which took 2 hrs for us to find it didn’t incline.
Called them in the hope they’d be organised enough to have a local tradesperson, just as mainland customers benefit from.
But no such luck.
Instead advised that we’d have to return it for inspection. Stating we had to repack it as it was received, ironic given the instructions to building said machine instruct you breakdown the box.
When I explained that he was disinterested at best and said it’s the rules.
I also point out that said box weighs 85kg and states clearly on the box - minimum 3 person handling, and that we are just 2 ladies. His health and safety training clearly lacking - as he just said you need to do it, to return it.
He advised he’s arrange for it to be collected within 72 hrs, instead it’s taking 7 days ! If it goes to plan.
So all in all I’ve spent 5 hrs building and then deconstructing a treadmill and received very little useful or supportive advise from this so called professional outfit. Who clearly put customer care and health and safety at the bottom of their business ethics.
I now need to keep my children and pets away from said box for 7 days as god forbid it falls as it would kill someone. Not to mention the fact that I’m meant to keep it in my home for them for 7 days.
Do you think they’ll offer me any compensation ?
If you can’t provide a service in the event of a defect don’t provide the goods !
Disappointed doesn’t cut it, frustrated and furious is closer to the mark.
