Beware men’s sizing.

Good service, but beware of their men’s sizing as it is inconsistent, particularly if you are borderline between sizes.
Getting it wrong will cost you £10 - £5 initial postage and £5 to return the item.
In their own brand jumpers, I am a size L for wool but a size XL for cashmere.
I recently had to return a shirt because the arm length was way too short for an L sizing - a problem I’ve never had before. So, £10 lighter, and no shirt.

Greedy on admin charges

We recently changed our car. There was an admin fee for doing this, which I expected and that was fine.
However, while on the phone I noticed that the first line of our address - the house name - was incorrect. It wasn’t a huge error - “Height xxxx” rather than “High House xxxx”.
I was astonished to be told that this would incur a further admin charge as it was a change of address. To me, this was a simple error correction - the next 3 lines of the address and post code were all correct. But the customer service person was adamant that she would have to charge me an admin fee. I think that this is completely wrong.
I have to admit that I was so outraged that I just cancelled the whole policy on the spot. On the plus side, my new insurance with another insurer was actually cheaper, but I’m still upset with Churchill and unlikely to use them again.

Review of Motorway

Motorway is not the only option . . .

Easy guided process to take the required photos. Car was in very good condition for year with FSH, no faults and no blemishes to speak off. Estimated value was fair. However best bid prices were £1,500 below the estimate, which was about 15%.
Decided to try We Buy Any Car, and achieved the original estimate given by Motorway. The lesson is try an alternative if the best bid doesn’t meet your expectations. Nothing to lose! I could still have accepted the best Motorway bid if We Buy Any Car was lower.

Friendly and professional delivery team.

Book direct, not via Parcels2Go

I sent a parcel with Parcel toGo. The DPD tracking showed it had been checked in at the drop-off point, but 5 days later the tracking showed no further progress. Sure enough, when I visited the shop drop-off point, the parcel was still there!
I took the parcel back and booked it direct with DPD this time. It was dropped of at 1 pm and arrived in Aberdeen at 4pm the following day. That’s impressive.
The lesson is - book with DPD direct, NOT via Parcels2Go! The parcels2go drop off shop was completely disorganised and just shrugged their shoulders about the fact it had not been collected in 5 days. It was interesting that the drop-off point for DPD via Parcels2Go is NOT a recognised DPD drop-off point when you book directly with them.
Pay the slight extra and book directly with the courier.

Review of DPD UK

Book direct not via a broker

If you want good service, book with DPD directly, NOT via a middle-man broker. I used Parcels2go for a parcel and it was still sitting in the drop-off shop FIVE DAYS LATER.
I then retrieved it and booked it with DPD directly. The parcel reached Aberdeen from West Yorkshire in 28 hours from drop-off, and this was by the “normal” DPD service not the express service. That’s really impressive.

We are all wasting our time leaving…

We are all wasting our time leaving reviews about DHL’s pathetic service as it’s clear they never read them and probably don’t care either.
They are utterly useless. Said they were delivering a package between 5.03 an 6.03 pm (The precision of the timing is laughable when it doesn’t even arrive within 48 hours!). They did not appear. Later, the tracking said they tried to deliver. A little later the tracking message changed to could not find the address)
Two days later and they still have my package - somewhere . . .
