This was our first river cruise & it won't be the last.
The cruise was well organised from start to finish. The staff were polite friendly & very helpful. The quality of the accommodation food & wine was excellent. Everything was spotlessly clean.
The only slight disappointment was the guided tour of Porto. The city centre was very noisy & congested due to the fact they the city is building a new metro . It was like touring a building site, but that was not Emerald's fault.

I was looking for a rescue wood. There was a good selection available. However, in spite of my spending a long time looking, none of your staff offered any help

It was on time, but the box containing the chairs was badly damaged.

I'm aged 74 & my wife is 67. When renewing our annual travel insurance we were declined by Lloyd & Whyte's chosen insurer because we have a few ailments. No problem - Shannon got back to us within 48 hours with a very reasonable quote from another insurer which we were happy to accept. It was a pleasure doing business with her.

Prompt reliable delivery arriving at expected time. Can't fault it.

The audiologist was helpful without being pushy & explained everything well. I couldn't fault her

Booking was pretty straightforward apart from when it came to extras for the flight. One icon suggested that an extra was free when it certainly wasn't.

The bus was uncomfortable - seats a bit too small & seat belts difficult to get on. Otherwise everything else was perfect.

Everything went like clockwork - faultless

The delivery & packaging were excellent. The wines were OK, but no more than that.

I liked the fact that it was delivered a day before scheduled. I was told it was delivered in 2 separate deliveries. It all came in one.
What I didn't like was the cardboard packaging on one of the 2 items was falling apart & one of the 2 bags of cat litter within was slightly damaged & spilling litter.

It was fairly simple to negotiate the website. The only problems I encountered were that having booked (I thought) a cabin with a sea view, on the next page it defaulted to an interior cabin which I was easily able to correct. Also my first attempt to pay my deposit failed for some reason, which may have been a problem at Mastercard rather than Great Rail Journeys. Fortunately my second attempt was successful.

It's a well-run very professional outfit. On this occasion I was renewing my building/contents policy. The process was simple & efficient. I had to phone them to pay by credit card, but was not left waiting on the phone. The service I received from Alisha was friendly & efficient. In short, the whole process was faultless.

The parcel was delivered a day ahead of the originally anticipated day at exactly the time that you said it would be delivered.

The main purpose of my visit was to buy some shoes. The shop was understaffed meaning that the 2 sales assistants were manning the till rather than serving customers elsewhere.
On the plus side there were a good range of shoes available.

Prompt delivery with goods in good condition

In spite of the store being fairly busy, I was served promptly & I found just what I was looking for.

I tried arranging annual travel insurance for my wife & I online without success.
I then phoned Llloyd & Whyte, where after going through a lengthy questionnaire, we were accepted with no problems whatsoever.
