Sadly I have been disappointed with my new stick

Sadly I have been disappointed with my new stick. My reason for seeking a new one was that my previous one was constantly falling over whenever I tried to park it whether at home or out and about. While my new stick has solved that problem and I am very pleased with that aspect of it, in other ways it is less satisfactory. A big problem is the handle. Unlike my previous one which felt as if it had been personally moulded to suit my hand this one is uncomfortable for me and causes my hand to ache when using it for a long time. A lesser difficulty is that it seems to be a bit clunky and does not propel me in the way that the other one does. It is a shame because I can see from the literature that a lot of thought has gone into the design but it has just not worked for me.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your useful feedback.

The walking stick you purchased has the widest foot arrangement available, so it provides excellent support and stability. It is not as bulky as a walking frame, but offers a similar level of stability.

As a stick user myself, I do share your experience of my stick spending too much time on the floor.

There are other options available such as a stick with a smaller base, which can be much less cumbersome. We also have rubber ferrules for the base of walking sticks which have three small feet, so the stick will stand up on its own.

The final option is a folding tabletop walking stick holder which attaches to your stick and has a tab which folds out so you can rest your stick against a table without it falling over.

Smart Skirt

I don’t usually choose a straight skirt but I liked the look of this one one teamed. with a chunky jumper on the model and I have not been disappointed. The buttons complete the look but I am really pleased that they are not real

I ordered a pair of self grip seat pads…

I ordered a pair of self grip seat pads and the problem with them was that they did not grip and I have sent them back. This is the third item that I have ordered and the first two fell short of their descriptions too though I do use them. Because of these disappointing results I will not be ordering again and need to be removed from the mailing list.
