As good as I thought it would be

As good as I thought it would be. Appears to be very few dross wines in the lineup. This unlike other wine clubs that off load volume overproduction for a quick profit.
The society van delivery service is top notch also. A lot to recommend for the wine lover.

Does anyone know if Shotscope have gone out of business ?
I ordered and received confirmation directly from them for a golf watch on 27th Dec 24. Nothing back, just unwanted marketing emails. I contacted customer services and , .. nothing !
Anyone know if they are still trading ?

AVOID
I took out a gas service and safety policy on 061024 then , nothing !
As my gas safety certification and service became past there due date I recontacted home serve with a complaint on 101024 to contact me directly by email, then, NOTHING.
Realising that they were not able and ft for purpose to do the job I rang 141024 to cancel the policy . I intend to go to British Gas ( more expensive) but likely to be trustworthy. Although home serve at £150 to do a £100 Job is not great value.
Of note when I tried to post this using the Homeserve 'rate us' ( they did manage to succesfully contact me twice when they thought a good review was on offer for free) with a one star review the link mysteriously failed to work. A pattern here ?

AVOID !

AVOID !
I took out a gas service and safety service online on 061024, then nothing .
As my boiler service and safety certificate then expired whilst waiting I then made a complaint to customer services 101024, then , nothing...
By 141024 I realised that they were not a company fit for purpose and who I could trust at £150 to do a £100 job !
I am signing up with British Gas who also include a emergency repair and 50 % off for the first six months.

Bought an expensive mirror, Then ,..

Bought an expensive mirror. Then, I contacted OKA customer services for information as to how to fix it and further information such as weight for fixings. I received a promise from them to call back- NOTHING !. Same again ,after another call. Service is shoddy, low grade company once they flog you thier goods.

Where are the managers of this debacle , where do they hide, why do they fail to take any responsibility to get feedback from travellers. You can only guess. That underground bunker must be pretty cosy away from the ridiculous ques and failings for service in all departments .

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. I contracted this lot to repair a simple flushing system for a toilet and a dripping kitchen tap.
Perhaps a simple job, not for Deakins ,invoiced for 4 hours labour (over £250) and charged for the engineer "just nipping out for a spare part" evidently they charge for travel time too whilst attending a job. When I contacted the 'family owned business' - a pay or we send the bailiffs round attitude is their standard response. BE AWARE !!!

DIRE- avoid dealings with Martin Light.
My elderly mother in her mid eighties has moved out of her home a few months ago due to health issues and instructed plus net (under the guise of John Lewis) to cancel broadband/phone services.
The tactic used is then to string out correspondence and continue direct debit payments and ignore any termination request. ( if only leaving was as easy as signing up !!!).
I eventually on behalf of my mother spoke with one of their staff ,Martin Light. He has a job title as CSC analyst. Not sure what this stands for, perhaps Customer Service Cretin ! Where does this guy get off on dealing with elderly and vulnerable customers like dirt.
When the questions got too hard for him mid conversation he just terminates the call. Dead easy , zero customer service and gold star for him for performance stats dealing with a call quickly no doubt.
AVOID this lot, the usual all now too familiar lower than low customer severe standard of never answering the phone, except if its to join up and hand over your bank account details.

RIP OFF

RIP OFF - I wish I had read all the feedback on this dreadful untrustworthy company prior to signing up.
My elderly mother in her 80's opened a broadband- landline account with these jokers, she may have been taken in by the JL brand. This is actually run by a bunch of halfwits in a industrial estate type call centre.
She first complained over the price rise after signing up which went up over 9%. To be told that it was all in the small print T&C's.
Then she moved out of her family house due to start of health issues in March. They demanded over £100 for a few months left on a annual sign up. Despite repeatedly been told to was terminated. John Lewis continued to take unauthorised monthly Direct debit payments out.
Still in complaint mode which is a nightmare when they do not even bother to answer the phone.
Avoid this company at all costs, zero customer service

Okay so confession time- I never got to…

Okay so confession time- I never got to actually travel on a much awaited trip to Nepal last November.
What I can say is that leading up to the cancelled trip explore refused to ask for the balance when the writing was on the wall re traveling during cover. They also refunded the initial deposit promptly and without fuss ( jet2 and last minute.com are you reading).

Yes good when your flying- appalling…

Yes good when your flying- appalling when they cancel.
good luck trying to get your money back. Jet 2 cancelled my flight this coming January. It would be expected that returning money would be as simple as the time they took to take it - YOU ARE MISTAKEN .
Delay, after delay, emails . Then attempts at contacting customer services. I really hope you enjoy listening to the same songs on a tinny speaker- they do not answer.
Who would ever of thought that they, just might, get a lot of customers with questions during this coronavirus period ? Then the added disappointing option of a whats app chat!
Well I can only assume these guys operating this service are given performance bonus on the time they spend stretching out a conversation that ought to be rather straightforward. Two hours of my life talking to someone called 'KYLE'. Thats the name. I drew the conclusion it could not possibly be a computer bot thing as they were so stupid. Time I will never get back. After two hours of ridiculous conversation such as why don't you just refund my money, you cancelled the flight and you have my card details to refund perhaps ? Oh no, . not for this half witted moron. Just went off and left the conversation after two hours as it was their finishing time. AN absolute disgrace. BE WARY OF GIVING THESE FRAUDSTERS MONEY UPFRONT. EVEN WHEN ITS THEIR FAULT YOU DO NOT FLY THEY ARE NOT GIVING YOU IT BACK- FRAUDULENT !!!

Three more attempts and eventually got somebody /bot to reply on the jet2 whats app. This time someone called Andrea. I am now convinced again this was a person and not a chatbot as she was personable. Asked a few relevant questions then a form to fill out, then a promise of further payment for the flight cancelled by Jet 2. Time will tell.
Why when jet 2 sent a email with a invoice/ refund which contained all the relevant information do JEt2 think they need to ask the same questions again. Or state like the reply from someone claiming to be from customer services that you ,.... just might .... get a reply after 21 days.
Jet 2 you have my card details ., my flight details , my address etc just return the money taken for a flight that you cancelled


WHY IS SO HARD TO GET MONEY BACK FROM THESE COMPANIES

As for the part refund dated march 20 ,when it was given in December- is anyone from the tax office read the reality of the accounting professionalism / auditing of these companies

UNLAWFUL - CRIMES COMMITTED

I note a huge amount of customer dissatisfaction around ordering particulary online and go outdoors antiquited stock - ordering systems. However this feedback is about what happens should they actually have your item in stock and you actually receive it.
My case was screw in pegs for camping. You basically get a hexagonal tool that enables the pegs to be screwed in and secure into the ground when camping.
What they don't tell you is that this tool is totally the wrong size, so the pegs cannot be screwed in or therefore used.
When I contacted go outdoors their response was that actually 'there was not a problem' this being based on the fact that no one had contacted them before and they referred me to a grand total of ten reviews!
Of note the reviews did not include anyone who had actually tried to get the pegs screwed into the ground.
Then the real lack of service kicked in. Their response was not to send a prepaid postage and apologise, endeavouring to look into the manufacturing fault, a product recall perhaps, a small gift voucher in lieu of their crass stupidity ?
No ,. its to shift the dodgy batch in their sale, then suggest I get in my car do an hour round trip to return personally the item back to them. I would add that the purchase was made on line for an online delivery.

The worst part of this is the unlawful action of go outdoors akin to inciting, encouraging, aiding and abetting an unlawful act during a time of government national lockdown legislation, a crime no less !!!!
( perhaps the closing down ' everything must go ' sale at my local wigan store to later discover it never closed down and just had a makeover, is another time and another review to discuss the merits of fraudulent representation and sale of goods )

Clearly I refused this ridiculous direction. The latest is no action from go outdoors, no reply to my emails I still have the goods awaiting return , nothing.

Go elsewhere for your outdoor goods, they are simply not up to retailing

I had previously sent two emails to customer care about this. No one was interested, well why would the customer care department be interested or value their customers after all they are only the ones that keep any company viable .
Beyond a comical first reply outlined above why on earth do you have to publicly shame companies such as this in order to get the decency and etiquette of a reply.
Two words , reputational damage. Perhaps get someone new at the helm, word to the wise I've heard theres a guy currently looking for work, his name is Sir Philip Green, you could do no worse than you have now, pick the phone UP !

New update- They have now wiped all customer reviews on their website for this product as were unfavourable- can you do that ethically ?
Well , they have, as soon as fact and unwanted criticism arrives wipe all reviews clean and simply start again as if nothing ever happened. So new customers reviewing products are none the wiser. No surprises here then .

Flights cancelled - No refunds !!! do not use

I had flights cancelled by the airline I had booked through last minute.com. Whilst they take payment instantaneously when they owe you the same cannot be said. It is now two months since the cancellation and despite calls to the company (expect problems getting them to answer) still nothing, no contact from them. I have had to go through my Visa card company to seek my money back. All hassle! I would not use them ,I have had flights cancelled with other operators and action has resulted promptly. Not these jokers.
