Most dreadful experience and not over yet!
I ordered four dresses from Debenhams in early July. I never got a confirmation email, so had no idea if or when the order was coming. I tried getting in touch…whatsapp went round in circles repeating the same thing: check junk mail, it can take up to 24hrs for email to arrive(even five days later!). Order did turn up about eight days later.
Sadly, I had to return three of the items. I used the returns portal, paid £1.99 and chose Royal Mail for the return. I was sent a confirmation email including a tracking number. I then received a QR code for the return. I took it to the Royal Mail delivery office and they scanned the QR, printed the return label and put the parcel in the sack. They do not give a proof of postage as the tracking number is a digital record. I did the return on 14th July. I still have not had my refund and it turns out the tracking number I was given and which appears on the parcel is invalid. I have sent emails, whatsapp messages and pictures to Debenhams showing the email with the tracking and the return label but nobody is responding and I am now feeling that I may never get my refund.
I will NEVER buy from Debenhams again and wonder how many other people have had a similar experience.
