Gifted a 3 month subscription to my mum for her birthday. She was really pleased with the quality of the kits and the variety of bakes that she received. Would recommend as a gift to a keen baker.

Incredibly Slow Customer Service

I am having a hard time getting any response from their customer service regarding an in-warranty replacement part, either over email or phone, so thought I'd check here to see if it was just me. Took them 3 days to ask for more information, and after providing it the same day, I've heard nothing back for over a week. Seems like my experience is consistent with almost all of the recent reviews.

Our coffee machine had been great for about 12 mths, up until the point of a small brittle plastic part breaking. Unfortunately, for some reason the part seems to be an integral component for retaining basket pressure, so the machine is now totally unusable due to a broken component which probably cost pennies to manufacture.

Update: Delonghi have now replied to say that the device isn't in warranty (it came with a guarantee slip stating 2 years from purchase, and it was purchased in December 2023). The highlight of the email however was this:

"due to the fact that our system sorts emails based on the date of the most recent email, subsequent replies will cause your ticket to be moved to the back of the queue (we are working on a better solution)"

So basically, each time you chase up your ticket, it gets deprioritised.

Super fast delivery Christmas Lights

Super fast delivery on Christmas lights. Ordered at about 4.30 on Monday and delivered Tuesday morning. Paid for express, but assumed I would miss the cut-off for Monday. Lights seem good quality for a very affordable price compared to Amazon and others.

Hidden Gem

Can't fault the service I received with my order. Saved approx £40 (30%) of RRP, and the Birkenstocks I received were absolutely immaculate. Order to delivery was about 3 days, which I expected with not paying for fast delivery, and I was kept informed of progress the whole time. Will definitely be using Offcuts again.

Excellent after care/warranty service.

Excellent after care/warranty service.

Had a fault with one of my Elite 8 Active earbuds which couldn't be resolved by generic troubleshooting. After providing some basic info I was told I was eligible for a no-return replacement and then had them delivered 2 days later.

From fault being reported to having a new product delivered was less than 5 business days. Probably could have been less if I'd responded to emails more quickly. Highly likely to buy other Jabra products based on this customer experience :)

Pathetic renewal experience

Received an email inviting me to renew, but the message stated my current premium as 300% what I actually pay, and the renewal premium was 200%. Contacted via live chat to be told that there had been a 'system error' giving my current price, but the renewal at 200% of my current premium was accurate, and the only way they could review was for me to get other quotes.

Convenient that the 'system error' that generated the email made out that 1st Central were giving me a massive discount vs. my current premium, as opposed to the reality of a 100% price increase. This is not a 'system error' in my book, this is borderline attempted fraud.

Found another insurer via a compare website at 95% of my current premium, so 105% less than what 1st Central quoted. Once you force me to get new quotes, knowing your rates are not close to competitive and having proven yourselves to be less than honest with the financials, how can you seriously expect me to take the time to re-engage with you to discuss giving you more of my money?

Really happy customer

Really happy customer. Ordered a pair of trainers that weren't available anywhere else, and didn't know what to expect after reading some mixed reviews.

Anyway, trainers arrived within a week of ordering and despite the box condition being listed as 'badly damaged' I've definitely had boxes in worse condition when buying brand new direct from other retailers. Shoes are in immaculate condition as advertised.

Would definitely use again.

Really happy with the build quality

Really happy with the build quality, ease of assembly and flexibility for the Joey step to grow with my daughter as she grows older, by lowering the platform. The sink step being included is a nice value add too. From order to delivery was about a week, and the price is fairly premium, but the build quality and finish reflect the price. Would recommend to anyone looking for a learning tower.

Totally in the dark for most of this…

Totally in the dark for most of this order process tbh. Ordered some fleece leggings on 4th December, and got confirmation of shipping on 12th - which in itself was a pretty slow turnaround. The tracking number in the email linked to the wrong courier, but I popped it into Evri and it was recognised, only for the tracking to stay at the awaiting parcel stage for about a week. The parcel eventually entered the delivery network and then arrived on 23rd December. Reasonable quality for the price, but wouldn’t order again due to the slow turnaround time.

Faultless Experience

Was skeptical about ordering as some of the outlet prices were so cheap, but really happy I decided to order. Managed to get kit that would have cost £hundreds at RRP for a fraction of the price. Packed and shipped same day as ordered, and received the next day. Efficiently packaged and in cardboard to boot, so environmentally friendly service too. Will definitely look here for cycling kit in future. Cheers.

Speedy Service and Very Cheap

I was looking for an affordable i-size isofix car seat for our 18mth old in our second car, and didn't want to pay for another Maxi-Cosi 360. The cool bebe seat that I found here does everything I need for literally 1/3 of the price of the Maxi-Cosi (and half of its RRP) as well as being suitable for use up to 10yrs old. Speedy delivery. Have used kiddies kingdom before and will definitely use again.

Very Satisfied Customer

Very happy with the service received with my order. Ordered some bibshorts at a much reduced price, and they arrived within a couple of working days. After being burned recently, on a purchase from another online retailer where the price seemed too good to be true, I was reticent to place the order with the relatively small sample size on Trustpilot, but I would recommend Freewheel to anyone based on my experience. Will definitely use them again.

Scam - Website Domain Removed

Ordered a webcam from this company on 1st June. Received an email to say that it would be shipped, and I would receive tracking info, but nothing came. Contacted the customer support email that had sent the confirmation of the order, only to get a bounceback. Now the website domain seems to be non-existant.

Inaccurate Stock Information, No Proactive Communication, Misleading

Purchased a pair of Fizik shoes at a heavily discounted price on 4th August from the site. Showed as being in stock in my size, and so I was under the impression they would be shipped in the coming days.

4 days later, after no update I chased the order, only to be told that there had been a stock error and the shoes were not available, and offered a refund. The full price shoes were still showing as being in stock on the website in all sizes, but I was told that this was also due to a stock error.

Due to the price paid not being matched anywhere else online, I advised I was prepared to wait until the next stock delivery date, which I was told was 27th August. Prior to 27th, I contacted customer service to confirm that this was still planned, and I was told there should be no delay. Alas, the 27th arrived, and I had to chase to find out what was happening, only to be told they didn't arrive, and offered a refund again.

After 2 days of debate with the retailer, pointing out that the shoes still showed as being available on their website, and asking for a plan of action that would result in me receiving the shoes I had ordered nearly 1 month prior, I didn't get a response from customer service. I did however get a notification that my order had been shipped on 30th August, despite being told that there was no stock on 29th. Shoes arrived in perfect condition, and the price wasn't matched anywhere else, but the overall experience was a negative one.

At every stage of my order, I was the one who had to initiate communication to chase the seller, and was greeted with very limited information, and offers of a refund each time, rather than any apparent effort to fulfill my order.

From the theme of other trust pilot reviews, it appears that the company do not stock higher value items, and order these from suppliers. With this in mind, you need to weigh up how quickly you want your product(s), how much time you are willing to dedicate to chasing your order and how stubborn you are prepared to be with the retailer. I only received my order because I dug my heels in and argued my case with customer services. This isn't what I expect when I spend a significant sum on a product, and I would never seek to use Acycles again, in spite of their attractive pricing.
