Review of ZAGG

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Highly Recommend ZAGG Products

I have used several ZAGG products over the years and have always had an excellent experience with them.

More recently, I purchased a screen protector, case and charger last August for a new i-phone 15. Earlier this week dropped the phone damaging the case and cracking the screen protect. Both did their job perfectly and my phone was un-damaged in the incident. I contacted ZAGG to claim replacements under their superb Lifetime Warranty. Both arrived within 2 days of logging my request, are now fitted on my phone.
Based on my experience, I highly recommend ZAGG and will continue to use its products.

Review of Amazon.co.uk

Excellent Customer Service

I had an issue with an order that I placed on Amazon.co.uk. The order was not being delivered within the timeframe and the supplier could not give a future delivery date. I was very disappointed...

I logged a complaint and was contacted by phone and within the hour by Stephen M, Executive Customer Relations at Amazon UK's office. Stephen was thoroughly professional throughout our dealings and did his utmost to address my concerns and reservations about Amazon. He always contacted me promptly and in person to discuss options.

The matter was solved to my complete satisfaction.

Review of Rural WiFi

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent Wi-Fi and Customer Service - Highly Recommend

I have waited a month after installation, so that my review would be based on experience and can absolutely recommend Rural-WiFi.

We had been with our previous internet provider for more than 10 years and during that period achieved a maximum download speed of 4mbps and upload speed of (1-2)mbps.

With Rural Wi-Fi over the last month we have 5G service which across the day, has a typical download speed of (70-100)mbps; maximum of 240mbps and lowest download speed of (60-70)mbps. We don't upload much but here again the speeds are significantly improved at approx. 15mbps. Suffice it to say that we are thrilled with the service so far and only sorry that we had not heard about Rural Wi-Fi earlier.

Rural Wi-Fi were a pleasure to deal with from the initial contact enquiry with Sam, Patrick the installation Engineer was extremely knowledgeable. We had some Technical Issues in the first few days - Katie, Mia and in particular Ciara were absolutely brilliant in talking us through the resolution of the modem issue. Thank you all so much.

We look forward to them providing the high speed optic fibre when it comes to our area in the next 12-18 months.

Review of Currys

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Worst electrical retailer in the world…

Worst electrical retailer in the world goes to Curry’s. Purchased an oven in my local store, which was damaged when I got home. Started a 2 day fiasco, their Customer Services is based in South Africa, over 3 hours in the phone with 4 different people whose grasp bog English was weak at best. Lodged a formal written complaint, took them over a week to reply which a generic tripe response. Eventually had to return to the store and deal with a rude female assistant manager and got a refund. The learning, stay away from Currys (their 1 star ratings say it all and buy directly from a local non chain supplier (as I thankfully did after my Currys nightmare). Stay a million miles away from Currys - you’ve been warned!!!). I won’t set fit inside the place - pity I can give them 1 star.

Ordered a buoyancy aid from Wetsuit Outlet. The site was easy to use and navigate, ordering was straightforward. The buoyancy aid arrived swiftly via courier, exactly when the order had indicated. There was a slight problem with the order which was promptly resolved by Wetsuit Outlet, so I had reason to directly interact with their team. I found them tp be professional, courteous and efficient - the issue was resolved completely to my satisfaction.

The quality of the Yak Taurus Gen 2 buoyancy aid was superb, the price was excellent. Overall, the site, ordering, delivery, service, quality and value for money were top drawer. I highly recommend Wetsuit Outlet and will be using them again

Review of Zamberlan

Zamberlan VIOZ PLUS GTX® RR WIDE LAST

I am a keen hiker, live in an area with lots of off-road woodland and mountain hikes. Because of where I live, I go for a 1-2 hour hike every day. Over the years I have owned hiking boots from most of the major manufacturers, I can honestly say that in my opinion and based on my experience Zamberlan are the best. Over the years, I have purchased 3 pairs of Zamberlan boots, I still have my first pair which are 30 years old and whilst took a lot of punishment, still wearable.
My most resent pair are Zamberlan VIOZ PLUS GTX® RR WIDE LAST. I choose the wide fitting option and they fitted like a glove from day one. The craftsmanship is absolutely first class. All Zamberlans will feel a little heavier and stiffer to wear compared to other brands and will take a little while to break in. That said, I never suffered any blisters or discomfort with any of my Zamberlans because they are so well made. Once your feet become accustomed to them you will never want to put on another hiking boot. They are built to last with top quality treated leather, Vibram soles and Gortex lining.
I highly recommend Zamberlan Hiking Boots - SUPERB...

BEWARE of Ancestry

BEWARE of Ancestry
Ancestry.com cannot and will not dispute the following facts, check them yourself:-

FACT: 22% of UK customers, 1765 people (almost a quarter of their customers) rate Ancestry.com as bad on Trustpilot.
FACT: Ancestry.com score on SiteJabber (almost 500 reviewers) is a shocking 1.52 out of 5.0 stars - at 30% satisfaction - that is a miserable fail.
FACT: 16% of UK customers, 757 people rate Ancestry.co.uk as bad on Trustpilot.

That is a hell of a lot of unhappy customers - do you want to give your hard earned money to such a badly performing company. I am a verified Ancestry.com customer but not for much longer. I am quite happy to share details of my valid current membership with Trustpilot - who are exemplary.

Please note in their reply to me that they WILL NOT refer to the huge percentage of their customers who, like me are un-happy with their service....

I am strongly advising the millions of Irish Diaspora in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries., based om my experience using the Ancestry.com site, to save your hard earned money. I have not been able to locate a single document via their website, they should re-name their site ‘no Image available’ as that is the message that you will see constantly on every search.

So, if you are trying to trace your Irish roots, based on my research stay well clear of Ancestry.com. I was able to obtain all of the documents which were ‘unavailable’ on Ancestry, via FREE Civil Records on sites such nationalarchives.ie, irishgenealogy.ie and others – save your hard earned money. These records were readily available on FREE SITES yet NOT available on the quite expensive Ancestry, com site???

Also be wary of their 14 day trials as if not cancelled on time commit you to 6 or 12 month contracts to this almost useless service unless you specifically de-select. BEWARE – you’ve been warned.

Hello Valued Member.

We regret to learn that you've become discouraged by our service having failed to make much headway in researching your Irish heritage with us. We want each member to value their time spent delving into their family history and apologize for any negative experience you've had. We appreciate you bringing your own concerns and observations to our attention and are sorry that you feel that our replies do not meet the needs of our community. We take such feedback seriously as we strive to always be close by whenever our members require advice or support.

Our Trustpilot page acts as a transparent forum for our members to both share their successes and voice their concerns directly with us and the general public. We always attempt to provide general support first in our public replies here on Trustpilot so that our members receive as little delay as possible in resolving a difficulty. However, due to the limitations of discussing account specific issues publicly, we then reach out to our members here via private message or email if they have kindly provided account credentials when submitting a review. This then allows us to follow up with each member to see if they require more personalized support.

We're delighted that you have managed to advance in your project by broadening the scope of your research having met little success using our service. We always encourage the researcher to make use of as many tools and databases as possible to build a clearer picture of their family history. It would certainly be unusual to have found no records linked to your Irish heritage on site and we're ready to assist you and provide clarity on the records we have available for those with a link to Ireland.

We offer millions of Irish records ranging from Civil, Parish, Census, BMD, Military, Immigration as well as Newspapers and even some niche collections such as the ever popular 'Ireland, Dog Licence Registrations, 1810-1926'. You can get an overview of all these amazing collections by visiting our dedicated Ireland Family History page below.

https://www.ancestry.com/search/places/europe/ireland/

We also recognize the particular challenges of researching Irish heritage given the infamous fire in the Irish records office in 1922 which led to the loss of countless invaluable collections. Nevertheless, many great resources exist and the below guide should provide some hints and tips to overcome such challenges.

https://support.ancestry.com/s/article/Finding-Irish-Records

We would also like to thank you for your thoughts on our free trial which many budding researchers have used to get started in their research with us. Our free trials do renew into the paid subscription of your choice should you choose not to cancel and this is explained prior to availing of a free trial. Rest assured that a member may simply cancel the trial prior to its renewal should they not wish to continue with our service at the time. More information on the features and benefits of our free trial can be found below if needed.

Review of Digixo

Non-existence of Customer service at Digixo

Customer service at Digixo is non-existent. I am interested in purchasing quite an expensive telescope from Digixo (over €3000). I sent them an e-mail with a few practical questions regarding the item, delivery etc. They didn’t bother to reply, not even an acknowledgement of my mail. Two follow on e-mails went un-replied by Digixo. Hardly the actions of a company keen to make a sale and support their customers. Certainly does not inspire confidence in this company - who need to significantly improve their customer service experience. Please reply to your customers Digixo!!!!! I will post an update, if Digixo bother to reply and of experience is more positive, I will reflect that.

Review of Complete Savings

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Would NOT Recommend Complete Savings

I was purchasing a ticket for a concert for my son and on the ticket site saw a link to join the complete savings 'Scheme' and get a discount on the ticket price. I foolishly thought that it was a discount on a single purchase and not that I was signing onto their 'service' indefinitely..... I didn't notice until several months later that Complete Savings were taking a monthly membership of £15, which very quickly adds up to more than the total cost of the original ticket (incidentally - I never got the refund on the tickets).

In my humble opinion, be extremely cautious before joining any scheme like this, read the small print - if you don't believe me then simply google the comments made by Which Magazine and an assortment of newspapers and journalists.

In my humble opinion, this site is poor value. Be aware - I only have my own stupidity to blame for joining..... you've been warned.
