This Company is a Scam
I bought three different Invisible Shields for my iPhone last year. The warranty and replacement processes looked very appealing in their advertisements, but in practice, everything seems to be a scam.
They employ numerous tactics to avoid honoring the replacement. This includes unilateral cancellation of the warranty and asking for extra proof of purchase, even when the product is already registered in their system. The entire process is designed to create friction, clearly aiming to exhaust the customer until they give up on asking for a replacement. They have seemingly adjusted their system accordingly.
Be aware of this potential fraud and unfair trade practice. I believe there should be a community effort to report them to the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
Hopefully, this review will be useful for new customers before they make the mistake of buying something from ZAGG.
they were honest with their prices and…
they were honest with their prices and they delivered on time with my package safely and secured and not broken. I would 100% do business with the seller again.
CS never responded. Discount code expired in 12 minutes.
Tldr;got a discount code ('for today!') that expired in 12 minutes. CS never responded to any email.
Got a 'only today usable 10% discount' in the mail, at 23:48.. And Yes, it didnt work after 00:00.
So I emailed them, bot said: 'an amployee will review your email'. Next email i got after a few days was 'we emailed you and you didnt respond, so we close this case (unless you reply)'. So i replied, to also not hear from them. Here we are 1☆ bc well, never went to do bussines with them if this is your system.
Unable to obtain a Zagg Glass Elite Vision Guard protector under lifetime Warranty
I ordered a Glass Elite Vision Guard Screen protector for my iPhone 15 Pro Max in October 2023. I then needed a replacement in November 2024 and paid up what I considered to be a rather high cost for postage, but after a long wait received a replacement. Roll forward to September 2025 and after dropping my iPhone I now need another. It has a lifetime guarantee on the same phone but when I try to order it states 'out of stock". I've requested several email notifications to be informed when back in stock but have never had one. However, if I try to order a new identical protector, they magically have stocks...very strange? The Bot is useless and just goes around in circles and there is no way I can speak to anyone. I'm giving up and going to purchase another make. My suggestion, like many others, AVOID ZAGG!
Zagg not worth it
I bought Zagg screen protector because of the warranty. After one week, the screen protector cracked. I registered the product, set up an account and went online to order a replacement. No matter what I do, when I try to order a replacement, I get an error message. Now, my only recourse it to wait on hold for hours to speak with customer service. I have yet to reach a human to help me. ZAGG WARRANTY IS at worst, fraudulent, and at best, a tremendous investment of time and stress. DO NOT BOTHER. FIND AN ALTERNATIVE. DO NOT GET LURED IN BY CLAIMS OF A FREE REPLACEMENT WARRANTY.
Screen protectors last less than 3 months…
I bought a screen protector in March of this year and within 3 months it developed severe blotches all over the screen. At first I thought I had splashed it with something that had attacked the surface so paid the £8 postage fee for a replacement. Guess what, the replacement lasted less than 3 months before the same thing happened. Product is not fir for purpose and shouldn't be sold.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. They sell overpriced screen protectors for $59.99 and say it comes with a lifetime warranty. If you try to get a replacement as part of that lifetime warranty they will say you need your original purchase receipt, to re-register (yes, RE register) your product, and then they will keep you on hold for 26 minutes.
Stay away from any products from this brand.
Warrantyis effectively useless
Warranty replacement is effectively useless. An invisibleshield screen protector was discontinued within 6 months of purchase. After a very difficult and time consuming attempts via 2 store visits; website warranty replacement attempts; emails that only got automated responses; and 40min on hold, a customer support said only option for discontinued products is that they will custom make replacements ans expect arrival in 4 weeks. My phone can not wait 4 weeks. Refund not possible. So i bought a different phone screen protector and will have 2 pieces of custom made screen protectors from zagg that i don't need for the $24.99 plus tax spent on this high end product.
BEWEARE
BEWEARE - Zagg is not what they used to be. I have been a loyal Zagg customer for literally almost 20 years. I still have a Zagg invisible shield on one of my first iPods I got. They used to be great and easy to work with. The warranty replacements were nice when something went wrong. However, I will no longer be buying their products anymore. We recently got new phones and had an installation issue. No problem I thought, I'll register the product, and get a warranty replacement. Nope. I was wrong. The warranty replacement gives me two options. No matter which one I pick it tells me the product is "unable to be replaced" with the product selected. So why even give me the option? And then essentially there is ZERO warranty replacement available. OK, this is unlike them, so try chatting. Completely useless AI bot that does not provide any real answers. Just a big loop of suggesting links. I tried calling. First attempt was "All customer service representatives are in a training this morning and unavailable". OK, call back an hour later. "No warranty replacements are able to be done over the phone at this time due to wait times. Only new sales are being accepted." What a scam. I am sad to see this is what they have become. I will not be buying their products anymore.
No Support; Crappy Products
There is no support, except for a chat bot that sends you round in circles. I registered my products upon purchase. Within a month, the plastic of the case is peeling away around the lip of the case, the covers over the buttons having come clean off with the rest of the peeling part as if they were snapping off from a mold. Do not trust this brand or their products. Very frustrated with my waste of a lot of money.
Shipping is horrible 2-3 weeks or more
Shipping is horrible. Pay $10 to ship a piece a plastic that weighs less than 1 oz but takes more than 2 weeks. Don’t waste your time on zagg people. It’s better to just order a screen protector on Amazon and when it cracks, just order again at least you will get it the very next day through Amazon. If you warranty your screen protector through zagg, it will take 2-3 weeks or even more before it will get to you. Screen protector is screen protector, zagg shit breaks all the time too just like any other.
Fight for a refund
I had to keep in touch with them for a month after returning the goods, which they had received, and to open a dispute with PayPal to obtain a refund....partial on top of that! In the meantime, I've been taken for a ride by their support department, who told me that I'd been reimbursed. I really didn't expect that from this brand.
The zagg privacy screen was received…
The zagg privacy screen was received was sticking and damaged with dust and paper ordered through Amazon for my galaxy s25 ultra.
Too bad you can't give negative stars.....
Zagg is a drag
Zagg is a drag, and not the cool queen type either. I’m talking The kind of drag you pull off a dirty cigarette butt that you picked off the sidewalk at 2am half in the bag.
My first replacement they charged $11.50 shipping, whatever… shame on me for believing a lifetime warranty meant no cost replacement. My 2nd replacement $17.50 shipping… let’s face it a screen protector is less than $2 to ship… they are quite obviously recouping cost through shipping fees. Most screen protectors only cost $17. I will never buy another zagg product, and frankly won’t bother requesting another replacement when this one breaks either because let’s face it… it’s going to break just like my heart.
I bought a screen protector for $80 at…
I bought a screen protector for $80 at a Verizon store 10/2024 because I needed one quickly. Needless to say, it cracked the first time my phone dropped. After multiple attempts, sending Zagg my receipts and a lot of untruths by customer service, I never received my warrantied replacement. The company even set up a Fed Ex tracking number and never sent my replacement!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
Absolutely terrible!
Absolutely terrible!
Avoid completely if you value your time and money. Bought an S24 Ultra Elite screen protector and no squeegy was included. The air bubbles are ztill visibke 3 days later and its not an EZ application at all. Customer services doesnt seem to exist and the warranty is present but they dont ship replacements to the UK even though there are Distribution Centres nearby. Lack of customer service or any useful response available. Feel like alot of money has been wasted!
The warrantied product cost more to ship that the product is worth
The protectors didn't hold up and so much for the lifetime warranty. It costs more for shipping every time that you need a replacement than it is for you to just buy a replacement on Amazon.
FREE REPLACEMENTS FOR LIFE are not FREE
ZAGG prominently advertises “FREE REPLACEMENTS FOR LIFE” on all screen protectors, stating “Free replacements for life: If your screen protector or phone case breaks, we'll replace it. No questions
asked”
Truth is FREE ISN’T REALLY FREE!
We purchased 5 XTR2 iPhone 14+ screen protectors & over the last year all of them have broken, peeled up, has ghost touches etc. I went order warranty replacements & was shocked to see each screen had to be replaced individually with a $10.99 “shipping and handling fee” This is $55 to replace my screens that are advertised as “FREE REPLACEMENTS FOR LIFE” this amount with the ridiculous requirement to submit each separately is horrible customer service.
This $10.99 “shipping & handling fee” wasn’t even obvious until I got to checkout so they even try to hide it. A message near the bottom of the checkout page says something like “don’t want to pay for shipping, visit your local ZAGG retailer for replacement” This implies that you can go to a local ZAGG retailer and get the replacement without shipping or other cost.
When I went to the local ZAGG retailer they charge a $12 replacement fee per screen, even more than the shipping cost.
Even the warranty page mentions “FREE REPLACEMENTS FOR LIFE” 5 times before, in small light grey print at the bottom of the page says “shipping & other fees may apply”. (Screenshots available)
In a reply from ZAGG to a Better Business Bureau complaint (one of 267) the agent states that ZAGG kiosks are not ZAGG retailers & can charge whatever they want for a replacement. ZAGG knows dumping a customer off on a local location means they don't have to deal with the upset customer anymore.
If multiple screens could be replaced in one transaction (just like I purchased all 5 in one transaction) the $10.99 would be acceptable. Its pretty obvious this is either generating an actual profit or offsetting ZAGGs own internal cost to honor their warranty, therefor allowing them the benefit of increasing sales through advertising “FREE REPLACEMENTS FOR LIFE” with little or no cost to them and passing the cost for the warranty back on the customer. This is intentionally misleading, dishonest and certainly not “FREE”.
Have some integrity ZAGG!
Terrible Customer Service.
Terrible Customer Service.
$60 didn't sound to bad for a lifetime free replacements until I tried to replace a broken screen protector.
The shipping terms are bad. Actual time is greater than seven days. NOT ACCEPTABLE!!
This great shipping service for a $9.99 cost.
Product is crap
Product is crap. Started to lose the top layer 2 days after install. Replacement t was worse quality.
