Feels sketchy, I know, but they deliver (pun intended)
I heard good feedback from a friend of mine about the shop and decided to try for myself. The page is neatly organized and leaves very little to be desired since the prices are low and everything about the handling is so simple. So I got it over with and ordered two cameras and a lense.
Just a quick notice: They get the job done and everything arrived at my dorstep.
I'll share my experience for those of you, who're still not convinced about whether to go for it or not:
1. It feels odd to buy something so valuable from Hong Kong in the full knowledge that it potentially could go horribly wrong and there'd be nothing you could do about it
2. When ordering something over the amount of 3,000€ you won't be able to bill it straight to your bank account over PayPal
3. For some reason you need to press the Buy button twice and be forwarded as many times to your PayPal account.
4. You'll receive a confirmation right away that you successfully placed your order but don't expect them to keep you posted about every change like amazon does. The next mail you'll get is the one where they inform you about the order being placed. It can take a while for you to receive that one and I, for one, started to worry a bit. When it arrives, you get the tracking number and a picture of what you ordered being processed (nice touch)
5. When it arrives, you'll notice that the warranty seal is already broken, but since you knowingly bought something without manufacturer warranty, that makes no difference. Everything is still wrapped up and, to my eye, hasn't been used yet.
Over all, I'd recommend E-Infinity to all those willing to take a step out of their comfort zone and save a couple of hundred bucks. I, for one, am going to order from them again.
