I had a great experience with Western Car Radio in Bristol. Simon was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. When my new car wasn’t initially supported by the Autowatch Ghost II, Simon arranged for a software engineer from Autowatch to come in and get it programmed. On my next visit, they installed and programmed the Ghost II perfectly — it’s now working flawlessly.

Excellent communication, professional service, and real dedication to helping the customer. Thanks again for your assistance.

I signed up with EC Markets, but quickly realized I wouldn't trade there. When I tried to close my account via live chat, the rep bluntly said it's impossible – my account and personal data will stay with them indefinitely, citing vague "it's the regulations".

I'm completely aware they will hold my data archived after closing an account due to regulations, but that's a different thing entirely.

I will update this review if I ever manage to close my account.

EDIT: Managed to close my account couple of weeks later, after constant reminding them on e-mail they finally acted.
Your reply under my review still doesn't explain your representative telling me that my account cannot be closed, and it will remain active forever. Maybe a better training is due.

Toyota.co.uk provides a clear and professional online experience. The website is easy to navigate, with detailed information on models, specifications, safety features, and warranties. Configuring a vehicle online is straightforward, and all official documentation and resources are easy to access.

My dealings with Toyota UK customer service have also been excellent. They were responsive, professional, and helpful in answering all my questions, which gave me full confidence when ordering my brand-new RAV4 2025. The car itself is amazing — very comfortable, reliable, and packed with modern safety features.

It’s worth noting that dealings with a local dealer may be quite different from Toyota UK, as they are separate companies. My experience with Toyota UK was outstanding, though individual dealer experiences may vary.

Overall, Toyota.co.uk and Toyota UK customer service together provide a trustworthy and informative experience for anyone looking to buy a Toyota.

Ordered a brand-new Toyota RAV4 from Listers Toyota Bristol North. The sales process was smooth, communication was good throughout, and the vehicle arrived faster than expected.

However, some optional extras I purchased — specifically the chrome styling pack — were quite disappointing in terms of quality and fit. After delivery, I had to return the vehicle to get the panels adjusted, which still didn’t fully meet expectations.

That said, the core experience of ordering the car and getting it delivered was positive. Next time, I’ll skip dealer add-ons and stick with factory spec.

Leaving British Gas and Never Coming Back

They moved me from prepayment to credit without consent, then tried to bill me £130 for usage I had already topped up. My smart meter stayed in prepayment mode the whole time – until British Gas’s mistake caused my gas to run out completely. I couldn’t top up anymore, and they had to send an emergency engineer to get my heating back.

I've made over 15 calls, exchanged 20+ emails, and got nowhere. Their support is outsourced overseas – including agents in South Africa – who don’t understand the issue and can't actually help. My assigned case handler ignored the evidence and refused to investigate properly.

In the end, they gave me a £75 goodwill gesture, which doesn’t even begin to cover the time, stress, and disruption they caused.

Absolutely terrible experience. I’ve now switched away from British Gas and will never return.

The complaint is now with the Energy Ombudsman, where it should’ve never needed to go.

Avoid this company. Useless.

Edit: Katherine – you completely misunderstood my issue. This wasn't a problem with my "payment method". British Gas switched my prepayment account to credit without my permission, didn't update the meter, and then cut off my gas supply completely. This is a serious screw-up, not a minor billing issue. Absolute disgrace.

I tried to pay

I tried to pay, and the only option I had was a PayPal payment.

EDIT: No, that's correct review - you only connected PayPal payments to your website, it seems. I've paid for event 1727880, and after paying I received PayPal receipt and option to log in to my PayPal account! I do not wish to have PayPal account. But because you are using their checkout system, PayPal account was created without any input from me. This is not right.
Consider using something else like Stripe or whatever, but not Paypal. Thanks.

Clueless Customer Support, Android app not working on Pixel 6 with GrapheneOS

I use a Pixel 6 running GrapheneOS, a security-focused Android OS. The Scottish Widows app refuses to launch, falsely claiming my device doesn't meet security standards. This is absurd — GrapheneOS is more secure than stock Android. Other banking apps work fine.

I wouldn't have left a 1-star review, but after contacting Customer Support and receiving generic, unhelpful replies, it's deserved.

EDIT: I contacted Scottish Widows before posting this review. No real response.

EDIT2: Reply came from a no-reply mailbox. Seriously?

EDIT3: Eventually got an email — completely ignored the issue and instead sent a link to open an account on the website. Very helpful (not).

You’ve lost touch with your users. Or maybe it’s just bots replying. Either way, support is worthless.

I added a portfolio from Trading212. After the trial ended, the site became completely unusable because I had too many holdings. Everything was blocked.

Solution was easy: "Delete my account" button is clearly visible in the profile. Clicked it, done.

I purchased the Ultion main door lock…

I purchased the Ultion main door lock in 2023 and was very pleased with its performance. I also ordered two additional coded keys, which worked flawlessly. In 2025, I added two patio door locks with thumbturns and an extra key. When I initially placed an order for standard locks, I called to cancel and reorder the thumbturn versions instead. The process was very smooth—after placing the first order, I called back within an hour to cancel and replace it without any issues.

The entire order arrived the next day. I fitted the locks myself—perfect fit—and all 5 keys arrived too. All four of my original keys were upgraded to a newer model free of charge. I've checked—both old and new keys open the new locks, but I’ll be using the new ones and putting the old ones aside.

Overall, I am highly satisfied with the quality, security, and customer service, and I confidently give Ultion a 5-star rating.

Three months after receiving the…

Three months after receiving the previous spam letter, I have received yet another unsolicited letter, despite having informed them twice to cease sending mail.

They acknowledged the issue in email exchanges going back to November 2024, April 2025, and again in July 2025, each time apologizing and promising removal. Yet the spam continues.

Instead of fixing the issue, they attempted to have my Trustpilot review taken down—despite their own reply on Trustpilot confirming they were sending me letters.

This is not a one-off mistake, but repeated misuse of personal data over many months. Disgusting.

Not satisfied with the free tier. Almost everything is locked behind a paywall, making the app nearly useless without paying. The only positive is the API connection to Trading212, which syncs automatically—but once synced, I can’t actually see much, as all details stay hidden behind the subscription. Disappointing.

Year 7 update

It's now been 7 years since I invested with Syndicate Room. Unfortunately, since my last review a year ago, the situation has continued to deteriorate. My overall portfolio is now down -21%. There have still been no exits, no returns, and no positive developments. Each year, I simply pass another failed company to my accountant to claim what little tax relief I can.

What was meant to be a long-term growth investment has so far delivered only ongoing losses and the added burden of managing failed investments. Sadly, this experience has been disappointing, and I cannot recommend Syndicate Room based on my results.

I was happy with the Trust GTX 144 Rexx for about five months until the scroll wheel stopped working. I bought it open-box on eBay, so no returns were possible. The mouse felt too small for my hand, and the middle scroll button was hard to press accurately. Overall, I’m disappointed and now searching for a better, larger mouse. 😤

Reported to ICO for Data Privacy violations

I started receiving unsolicited spam emails from Orlando Reid, despite never having contacted them or given them my details. It appears they acquired my full name and email address from a marketing database, without consent or transparency. This is a blatant violation of privacy. Soon after that, I started receiving cold calls as well!

When I questioned them, they failed to explain how they got my data or provide any record of my consent. I submitted a formal Data Subject Access Request (DSAR), which they ignored. They then gave conflicting information about having responded—before the request was even made.

Their disregard for data protection law and failure to comply with legal obligations forced me to report them to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

This company shows zero respect for individual privacy or accountability. I strongly advise others to avoid Orlando Reid entirely!

EDIT: This review is regarding Orlando Reid, not Orlando Reid Manchester, it was you who received ICO complaint and who dealt with my Data Subject Request. REVIEW STAYS, thanks for your attention on this matter, unfortunately it is too little, too late.
