Reasonably responsive

Reasonably responsive, good staff who pick up the call quickly, are courtious and speak the language!
Settlement was acceptable. Niggles have been that the portal has not reflected status accurately but staff gave me confidence all was ok. A bit slow to arrange collection of car. However, they seem better than others so would definitely recommend.

SCAM Company

SCAM Company. Was supposedly for a deWalt tool set from Screwfix. I should have known too good to be true. They have been taking £36 out of my account for the past couple of months. I have registered this as fraud with my bank and should therefore be repaid. Do NOT go near any site with Platbudget.com

Utter useless process

Utter useless process. What is wrong with you guys who install systems that take us back to a totally inefficient blood test facility at Horsham Phlobotomy service. I could until recently walk in, timed right it was in and out - otherwise a 10-15 minute wait. Now I have to wait days until availability shown on website so due to being away I cannot get tested before my consultation so that will now be a waste of time.

Dire new website

Dire new website. It does not clarify names of optional cheap day tickets that are available leaving me as a customer without a clear option, Given the way the operators are now making people criminals simply for us getting wrong tickets due to their poor instruction - I believe they are running a scam. We need a robust regulator to sort out the mess of our railways!

Excellent Service

88 year MIL comes out of hospital and the boiler is misbehaving. Found out she had taken out a 10 year warranty agreement some 5 years ago and luckily the last service was within the past year (only just)!
Called helpline, answered within a couple of minutes by someone in the UK that spoke English. Understood the problem immediately and arranged for technician to call the next day. He came as agreed and spent time trying to resolve the problem. He replaced the pump and since then some week later all is well. Over 70% of my reviews are negative due to poor service by large corporates but I was so impressed with Baxi I will definitely remember this and certainly thoroughly recommend them in the future!

V4 support has been very proactive in resolving my technical issues. In the past with the initial network setup using both router frequencies to connect old printers and Smart TV and more recently by Smita who helped with my old landline service being ported as a VOiP phone onto my mobile and existing handsets. Full marks!

Useless system to pay suppliers

I have used this to pay supplliers invoices with mixed results, after eventually paying an invoice about a year ago, I was invited to join which I did only to then be advised I didnt have the relevant permissions to view the invoice. A new supplier recently sent me a couple of invoices using this company, the first went through fine but the second one requested sending validations to our directors phone or email, preventing me making the payment. We dont have time to mess around with companies like this. I will direct our suppliers that we will pay by alternative means only.

In response to your comment : yes it is your problem! If I as a payee cant pay bills via your system when billed because of your checkout process and waste my time trying then that is a poor experience

Hi Clive. When our customers send their invoices to their customers, Xero has no control over the approval invoice for those invoices. Your supplier may be using a payment service to collect payments but this would not be anything we have control over. - WS

Place is great and the service was…

Place is great and the service was attentive. However, the fish & chips batter was poor and the fish tastless as were the chips.
Then there is the 12.5% service charge automatically added. I am no fan of this practice! My thoughts are pay your staff a living wage, you charge enough! The cost of the drinks and food should be the headline price and no more. I tip as a true gratuity when I want, and how much I want, depending on various criteria.
I would have been more than happy to add a reasonable tip, but this service charge practice is insidious and negative to get it adjusted. A bad taste left after a good afternoon. It is rapidly becoming common practice since Covid and has caught on in pubs now. As such, I will reconsider going into such places that do this.

What a useless time consuming process

What a useless time consuming process.
The online assistant is pathetic, it cant answer basic questions. I bought a voucher that was less than the face value of the gift amount. I was advised at the time of purchase by the website that there would be a credit to use with another purchase and I would be advised of this by email. After several weeks I have not been advised and the amount is not shown anywhere I can see by going online. In essence, I wanted to know where is the 'BANK'ed money?, how can I see evidence of the amount and see you I can use it?!

Hello there,

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration caused by our system. When you purchase a voucher and have remaining credit, it should indeed be visible in your account for future use. It’s concerning to hear this has not been properly communicated or reflected for you.

Please reach out to us at tellusmore@redletterdays.co.uk, and we will promptly investigate your case, ensuring the missing credit is accounted for and providing clear guidance on how to use it. Your feedback will help us improve this process to avoid such issues in the future.

Review of EDF

I have never dealt with such an…

I have never dealt with such an incompetant energy company as EDF. Over the past 2 years I spent hours trying to advise them we no longer required a separate E&G service to a cottage on our property. The removal of the meters were inspected by EDF in May 23 and they confirmed that all was good and the premises was fed from the main house. We have now received yet another estimated bill which will require hours on the phone, long emails trying to resolve. That's it EDF, perhaps Watchdog could make some entertainment out of your hopeless company.

Edit. So I get a response from EDF asking me to contact them, which I did. Did I get a reponse? No. So I have raised a complaint, a day later I get a standard request stating as we are leaving the property can we supply final readings. Er, we did mention we had the meters removed over a year ago. TOTAL BUNCH OF NUMPTIES. I am now going to escalate with the Ombudsman.

BTW They can only handle one email address per account so if you have to deal with more than one property they cant handle it! And we let them build our nuclear infrastructure?!?!

Timewasters!

Well, why have I given you one star without any interaction with you? The answer is simple - I have phoned you up to simply book an MoT and service. On both occasions I hung on the phone, no answer so both times in the end I used your call back service. Did you bother to ring back? No. Timewasters! Have gone elsewhere.
Update.
Got a call 2 days later, still unacceptable - given extra star because at least you did! Your problem is you've missed the business.

Here we go again with Muddlesoft

Here we go again with Muddlesoft. Logged on this morning, could not log onto Outlook. Rebboted 3 times still nothing. See I have been downloaded with Outlook New. Opened it and all I see is my Gmail email from the past few days. Still cant open old Outlook. So, can't access any of my other email accounts, can't see any of the Archived (saved) emails I've stored - thousands of them. All filed in various folders. I now have to spend an unknown amount of time to sort this out. An absolute farce, totally unplanned workload to sort. Microsoft you are a joke and should be taken to task. The World relies on this company and yet they are totally incompetant with their software roll-outs. Wish me luck.

TfL Disgraceful organisation

TfL are a disgraceful organisation, I dont live in London anymore thank god. As such, I dont use there convoluted website designed to confuse and tax/fine/extort money from you. I thought I owed ULEZ money just for stepping across from M25 to Heathrow. After going through all of their dross it would appear I paid for the conjestion charge even though I didnt enter that area and I didnt need to pay the ULEZ charge as my gas guzzling 3 litre diesel BMW X5 meets their criteria (although my little non-taxable 1.4 litre newer Peugeot 208 doesn't), Can I get my money back??? Yeah, I guess if I spend a week's holiday trying. Website totally covered in waffle making payments confusing between Conjestion, LEZ and ULEZ - took way too long to pay and wrongly, email use confirmation was in spam filter, result came back in Ukranian?!

Went to get BK food at Alicante…

Well after saying I would not go back, I did! The reason being they were one of two outlets that were supposed to redeem easyJet vouchers. The other one didn't honour this so walked straight up to the BK counter to find out how and they took my order right then. Result. Only 4stars instead of the 2 mind as after the last visit and also the burger wasn't great.

Previous 2 star review:Went to get BK food at Alicante airport. No menu, no pre-pricing info. Their software was useless. Could not order easily so gave up and went elsewhere. I'll remember that experience, unlikely to use again.

Average products

Sadly had to remove a star due to poor quality over the past year. Firstly - their shoes, I like the quality and design of the shoes uppers and have purchased a number of pairs. However the soles & heels are very poor due to the material and hollow track design and as such only last a short period before allowing water in whereas the uppers are still good! I have also purchased a number of pairs of shorts, the fit of all of them are good and I like the designs, its a shame that the cotton material seems to be the same for all types I purchased. Another issue I have had was with the website as they advertised the same shoe but from different points on the website, the difference only being the shoe width!? As such, I ordered one with the wrong size so had to exchange. All in all, I would buy again but will also look elsewhere!

What an incompetent company

What an incompetent company. They have sent me a text stating I owe £1300. I never have had an account with them, I have called them up on behalf of my son though. I explained that he left the rented property and closed the account, OVO confirmed this by reimbersing him . It is the Landlady that owes them money, they agreed this in January but now have sent a message stating he owes £2000 last month and now this has changed to £1300 when he left the property last August! It is against an account number that is not even his. They do not know what they are doing, I will never deal with this company. Ever. Their customer support is based abroad and dont care what bedlum they cause. I will be contacting Ofgem and seeing if legal action against them can be taken.
