Where do I start?

Where do I start?! This review is for the ordinary postman not for the postman with the van that delivers big parcels.

Since the postman has been changed AGAIN in my area, your services are going downhill. The whole point of taking pictures with the proof of delivery is to either see the parcel being handed over or to see where the parcel has been left.

Yesterday, Monday on the 15th of Sept 2025, it was the second time that I was left without a parcel delivered by the postman this time. The first time I managed to figure out where the parcel had been left, this time it is impossible to do so because the “proof of delivery” shows just the label of the parcel. The postman could’ve been on top of his bed and taking that picture and saying he delivered it. Luckily the value of the parcel is less than £10 but what if that had been £100, £1000?!

How can you pass right through my front door which has a BIG plate with the number on it and deliver the parcel only you know where, I have no idea. I know the postman has been in my area today because my neighbour saw him.

Like everyone who works for Royal Mail, I also have a full-time job and I do not have time to investigate poor deliveries nor do I have the time to go knocking on all the doors in my neighbourhood to ask if they have my parcel as I do not work for Royal Mail.

You either train your staff to do the job they are hired for or you just close down and leave other companies take the job.

Great delivery service

Kyle is the top man who delivers parcels in my area, and I have never had any issues, considering that I get a parcel almost every day. He is always on time, always polite, and always friendly. If I could choose a delivery company to deliver all my parcels, I would pick up Evri every single time because I know for sure that I will get my parcel.

Still the worse delivery company in the UK

I wasn’t going to leave any more reviews on Truspilot but here I am.

At this point, even the international royality mail could aquire you and you Yodel would still be one of the worst delivery companies in the UK.

My parcel was supposed to be delivered on the 13th of Sept 2025 (Saturday) between 17:30 - 19:30 according to your email and if this would have happened, I would not be writing this review here. I have waited until 21:00 on Saturday and no one turned up. Fast forward to Monday, 15th of Sept 2025, 20:29 and my parcel is nowhere and all your app shows is “out for delivery”. The said agent I spoke through your unhelpful chat (I am not even sure it was a real person) told me that the parcel is going to be delivered today. When I have asked about delivery window I was given some links and “good luck”.

Where the parcel is? Where has the parcel been from Saturday until Monday? When are you actually going to deliver the parcel which you were supposed to deliver on Saturday? Why do you think it is alright to waste people time? In 2025 when other companies are even showing you the name of the delivery driver that is going to deliver your parcel, your just “out for delivery” as your app shows is just poor. Moreover, you are the only company that doesn’t inform their customers that a delivery will not take place.

I am just disgusted by your service. 0 stars is what you deserve.

So, whilst I was writing this review, I have got a “parcel has been delivered” but guess what, Yodel? I have not got any parcel!

Simply the best!

Miniml, two burning questions for you:

1. Where have you been all my life?
2. Can you please create a limited edition cucumber and mint (Anti-Bac Bathroom Cleaner - Cucumber & Mint) for everything? I’m talking shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower gel, and washing up liquid so I can basically take a shower in it! I’m totally obsessed with that scent! 😅

As someone who’s embraced a journey toward organic, clean, and cruelty-free products, I have my criteria for what I buy: it must be 100% natural, effective, and cruelty-free. I can be flexible on the scent, but wow, I just wish I’d discovered you sooner! Everything I’ve ordered has blown me away! And the smell?!!! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!

I’ve already given the bathroom cleaner, floor cleaner, toilet cleaner, washing up liquid, multi-surface cleaner, and shower gel a whirl, and saying I’m impressed would be an understatement. I can’t wait to try the shampoo, soap, and conditioner in the coming days. At this point, you have officially won my heart!

Be careful who you TRUST

So, Trustpilot removes my genuine review because it was “flagged” by a robot as being “fake” but at the same time, all positive reviews for certain.. “institutions”, all written in the same style, are still there, as genuine. Interesting.

I liked you, however, after my last experience where you have removed a 5-star genuine review that follows your policies, I will take my love back. Yes, I have already replied to your email with proofs that my review was based on my OWN experience.

I am also curious to find out why exactly are you bothered by a VPN connection? Or by a browser that respects and protects my privacy?! As long as I can prove to you that I purchased from or had contact with the business I am reviewing, the rest is just history. So much for “we care about your privacy”, until my VPN bothers you.

Pleased to discover Pattiserie Valerie

Pattiserie Valierie came through my search results as a sponsored ad whilst I was looking for a “just because” kind of surprise and I initially ignored it, as I normally go with the “cake through letterbox” sort of surprise but after checking my usual “cake providers”, I decided that I wanted something new.

Because I could easily remember the name “Pattiserie Valerie” I went to check their page and to my super surprise, not only do they have a variety of cakes, they also have great discounts and sizes. Bonus points because they also have the favourite cake of the receiver of the surprise. Placing the order was easy and the delivery came with DPD on my selected day.

The cake arrived well packed and in pristine condition. The aspect, the taste, both at superlative. The receiver of the cake?! Hehe, even to this day asks where I have ordered it from. 😅

I will return for more cakes. ☝️

Starling main account

I will be making Starling my main account. I was first introduced to Starling in 2018 by a friend who travels a lot. As I am frequently travelling between England and my home country, I have decided to apply for an account, as they handle all the conversion and everything making it way more simple to spend whilst abroad and removing the burden of having to physically go to a branch and withraw cash which you need to convert to the currency of the country you are going too.

I have been using them since 2018 but for travelling only and for paying for some insignificat subscriptions and after my recent experience with one of the high street banks which left me abroad without no access to my funds and no other way to have MY money back unless I physically travel to the UK, I am taking about Barclays, I have decided to make Starling as my main bank account and cut all my ties with all the high street banks.

Starling gives you the option to open accounts in different currencies, the app is always functioning, and their customer service has been great every time I have contacted them. They also offer the option to create virtual cards which are a lifesaver if you are like me and do a lot of online shopping and you want to keep your account secure.

Their notification system is exceptional, meaning that you get a life notification every time a transaction is going out (not after a few hours, not after a few days, not just in the app).

A disgrace

Barclays closed my main account while I was abroad, without any explanation and whilst I am not that bothered by this, I am BOTHERED by the fact that BARCLAYS UK PLC ILLEGALLY holds my funds!

They left me without access to my own money, shut down online banking, and offered no way to retrieve my funds unless I physically visit a branch in the UK — knowing I am OUT of the country.

This has caused me extreme financial and emotional distress, especially during a family health emergency. When I tried to complain, they told me it would be closed automatically due to the fact that the closure of my account has been decided after an “internal review.” All nonsense! This was the account I was receiving my wages in. The card which I kept safe by not making online shopping or withdrawing money due to all the scams and stealing that is taking place in 2025!

This is not banking. It’s institutional abuse. Barclays has lost all my trust — and everyone should think twice before banking with them.

Avoid

Easyjet cancelled the flight from Hamburg - Manchester which was supposed to be at 21:00 on the 27th of December 2024 due to fog, which is understandable. All day on the 27th of December 2024 the flight showed as delayed by around 3hrs, a thing which you can see on their app. What is not acceptable is to cancel the flight last minute, whilst passengers were waiting at the gate! All that day you knew the fog was not going to get better but still, you only cancelled the flight last minute, after 22:00! You wasted three days of my life and caused a lot of stress and anger! And this is not all, of course. With your next flight for this route being on Sunday, you offered to pay for accommodation for the night between Friday and Saturday hoping that on Saturday night I was going to sleep at the airport probably. And, this is not all, of course! After sending you proof of all the spending I incurred because of you, you are not even refunding the whole amount because the invoice for the accommodation I had to book was advertised for “two” people even if only my name is on the check-in, you are only refunding half of the sum. The 3 taxis I had to take to and from the airport (to the airport on the 27th of December, back to accommodation on the 27th of December and taxi to the airport on the 29th of December) a total of €100+ you can’t refund because God knows why. You are a disgrace of a company and I will never again use your services.

Great customer service

One of my go-to shops when I need something nice, cute, or elegant and I need it fast. Great variety of clothes and shoes to choose from and a great variety of sizes too, eventhough, they could do a bit better with the smaller sizes as sometimes a size 8 at Boohoo it is a bit to large. Fast returns too.

The customer service is also great and I want to give special thanks to Jezzamil who was very quick and helpful with a defective item I have received. Thank you, Jezzamil!
